Litecoin made the official announcement that it will become the official partner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (Mixed Martial Arts Championship or UFC) during the battle between John Jones and Alexander Gustafson, which will be held on December 29 in Los Angeles.

This is good news, it looks lately that the coins are actually going to be doing better as long as we actually give them a chance to do well. With something like this that has a lot of fans like the ufc there are going to be a lot more people who are learning about the coins due to it being a part of their favorite sport, this is actually very good for the cryptos

As a sports fan, yes I'm very happy to see some crypto being on top of the most anticipated fight in UFC. Maybe this is a start of something big not just for UFC but all other big sports like Football or Basketball or even in the Olympics.

Although crypto has been promoted before in sports, but being in a headline like this might bring crypto closer to mainstream because that's what we wanted for a long time and just maybe lots of UFC fans will be curious as to what LTC is and might invest a few thousand dollars, hehehe.

While that is an impressive news and would probably give Litecoin some sort of additional exposure, We've got ask will it really be of much importance to Litecoin adoption, I mean will UFC superstars be paid in Litecoin, will Litecoin be accepted for match tickets, souvenirs and other items related to UFC ? If no, then really what's the point of the so much hype about being an official partner of no mutual benefit.

It's always good to see cryptos gaining exposure in mainstream events, but let's be honest, this will only help to raise awareness about cryptos and especially LTC, but I doubt we'll see any major impact on the price in the short-term. Perhaps if the Litecoin team keeps using these type of advertisements for a long time, then maybe we could expect people getting a bit more interested in cryptos, but that doesn't mean they'll start pouring money into the crypto space making prices go up.
