Title: As 2018 winds down, what is your opinion about bitcoin for 2019?

My honest opinion is positive, why would I give myself something to worry about by 2019.

We've been down for so long and it may go through more months or eve a year but there's always an opposite force that will come to the market. Wait until all of those institutional news came into reality that has been delivered by this year.

Don't want to make any opinions about what will happen.

I want just to go with the flow and don't expect too much. Continous accumulation and filling my stash as usual. There are some positive events that people is looking forward that will boost somehow the movement of bitcoin price next year. Im not really into this kind of expectation as it will just lead into disappointment.

Just "trust the process".

I'm on the same way where I don't really expect too much on what would happen ahead instead accumulating as the price is still cheap nowadays. If you do let this opportunity to slip
then you will surely regret later on when the market tends to reverse trend again. No one can predict the future but we can somehow make presumptions based on what happened on past years.
Market wont be always on bear.

Of course, everyone wanted to see a bull run in 2019 or at least a recovery to the 5 digit mark again. Just look at what 2017 brought to us, no one really see the massive growth during that year and then 2018 was a complete opposite. So we may stay positive and let the market takes its normal course. So we should learn how to adjust our trading strategy so in such cases that 2019 won't be the year that we all been expecting then we will not be burned easily as others experienced in the first half of 2018.

But, you are just missing the core purpose of why we are having speculation and predictions. Experts are making speculation just to warn us for not missing another opportunity. For example, if you will be notified about $100k for bitcoins, then probably you will go for buying more by adjusting your other spending. When there will be no positiveness in your expectation, then you may have more chances to missing out big things. Please note that I am stating all these for bitcoin kind of proven potential based things.

Other than self benefits, just sharing opinion about bitcoin in this community will be helping many people here to make their investment decisions easily. Bitcoin is always having big values in long run hence there will be less possibility of errors when we will be predicting its future positively.

In my opinion, bitcoin is going to have another year of 2015. A recovery phase.

If the ETF decision is positive in 2 months from now, I expect great things in the short term.
If the decision about the ETF is negative again (rejected), I think 2019 will be just a transitional year with no spectacular rise of price.

However, however I expect good things when the next halving comes.

As I said, I will just continue to accumulate no matter what are those predictions and speculations . Speculations are bound to spoiled even how well technical and properly backed it up. It was proven many times. So instead on focusing on those speculations and predictions as main factor when we should execute our buy or sell, focus on strategy that will benefit us even what the trend is, whether on bullish or bearish.

Don't want to dictate my own doings because of a certain prediction. Yes Im bullish and positive but I have my own way to deal on this. Same with other persons around.

Well, I think that expectations from ETF are exaggerated. Even if the decision will be positive that will not affect Bitcoin that much, at least not significantly and not at the long term. Effect might be only instant and positive ETF decision will not change the world.
Having in mind current experience I don't expect too much from 2019. The price will recover but this will be the process that will happen gradualy and it might take a will until we see 10000$ again. Because that would mean recovery for me and ETF will not help that happen.

The ETF will most likely have an short term impact on the price. I don't think the ETF is good for Bitcoin actually, it is not when you know about the original concept behind Bitcoin. But investors will be happy to make a profit short term, we will probably see a quick rise just like it happened in November>December 2017.

2019 is fast approaching and its going to be a year to that is more challenging aside from the normal challenges that comes with the new year, that of bitcoin would take a steep one because the some of the issues that have been responsible for the downturn of events in 2018 have not been duly taken care of which would mean starting the year on a low note. However, if we can take a different approach by not waiting for magic to happen to push the price to desired point, I see a fulfilling year ahead.

When I say "go with the flow", it doesn't literally mean that I will just wait and that's it. I have my own way.
This thing also came up in my mind, "go with the flow" as long as I can hold my crypto asset then patiently wait for the crypto market to grow. There will be an opposite side on market price movement if this year we are too much disappointed with the price who knows next year there will be a great opportunity to us, time can tell everything so let's just wait and I can't give a speculating opinion by next year price of Bitcoin.

The coming up pere will be the very important for the Crypto uses if the same condition continue to happen then all the investor definitely migrate from this place to other way so we cannot do anything after this but a lot of people hoping to be the value will continue the rising and I also hope it will be happen soon.

I believe 2019 will see a substantial rise in the entire crypto market.  I think bitcoin will reach a new all time high as we approach closer to the next block reduction.  Smart people have been accumulating at these low prices while the newbs have been panic selling and leaving the market.  Don't worry, I'm sure most of them will get FOMO and rush back into the market.

Nothing has really changed, even if the price of bitcoin did not improve during the next year I will still be very positive about the future of bitcoin, while I understand the price is important it is not the only thing, the progress of the technology has been great and the developers are working hard to make it even better so sooner or later the price will have to recover, that is why I'm not really worried.

2019 is going to be a good year for bitcoin indeed, and that includes ethereum, but I’m not sure about other alternative coins , if it’s going to be the same for them. The price of ETH is likely to bubble after the hard fork this January. Then as for bitcoin, everyone already knows it’s going to be a good year.

Only time can time, but obviously everyone wanted a bounce back but its hard to predict the price movement because we are still in the bearish sentiments in my opinion.

So let's just be positive this 2019 and its seems that we are off to a good start as the price is somewhat stable around $3800 and it looks like ETH fork (Constantinople) is also pulling bitcoin afloat and farther from the last bottom.

I don’t think 2019 is going to be the same as 2018. Something tells me this year is going to be better than the last year, and I also believe the price will do better, the market cap increase and lots of investors will come for it this time around. We are never sure yet, but this is how I feel about it. Even last year, I had feelings that last year wasn’t going to be any good and that’s just how it happened.

Sorry,I changed your positive Outlook, which I followed with Sep-Oct 2018, I expected that in November-December bitcoin will rise to 15000-20000 dollars. Now I think that for the next 2-3 months the price of bitcoin will be about 4000 dollars.Much will depend on government regulation.

As you can see in the previous year, many made hundreds of predictions about bitcoin prices will be higher than $20,000, but the prediction is not in accordance with the facts and even far from expectations. Indirectly, a prediction can make everyone expect more, especially that providing predictions is an expert, this will have a negative impact on the psychic of each investor and make them upset with the market conditions. Agreeing with the previous opinion, I prefer to comply the flow of prices only, will not predict the price of bitcoin with full ambition, if the price goes up I will accept and I am grateful with it but if not I will remain here to invest.

I am not in hurry to sell mate so it’s not a big deal if it takes time to recover because according to me the only thing that matter is profit so if steadily but slowly it grows I am ready to invest no matter how much it will take.2019 will be good year in history of crypto as it was in 2017 now again I am expecting the price crossing  $10k thus year.

we are already in 2019 and the price is in the $3700 and by what can be observed in the next months price will be struggling to stay above the  $4000, so its analysis can come true, this is a year like last year, I at least I hope this year ends with the price of $9000 maximum, I do not believe that it is possible that the price reaches more than  $9000 this year

2019 will be good year in history of crypto as it was in 2017 now again I am expecting the price crossing  $10k thus year.

I will not say that this year will be a good year, but I keep my forecast that at most will reach the  $9000, I do not see overtake $9000

I’m not happy with what I’m seeing. The price just fell back from $4000 and down to $3600 not really what I was expecting. I was excited at first when it got to $4000+and I was expecting the price to go from there to $5000 and keep going, but it’s turned out to be something else. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad year yet till we reach the second half of the year and I see what happens.

Not only you got upset on that scenario but if you are here on this market for how many years already then these situations wont really surprise you because btc
is always been very volatile.Anytime it can break someones expectations, yes we are on a new year but it doesn't mean that it wont head back down. Price bearish trend
would be possibly continue on this year but no one really knows on what would happen next.

I don’t know what will happen this 2019. I have seen what a lot of people has to say and everyone is saying there will be a bull run, but I don’t want to place my hopes on what people are saying here or what the media has to say cause I might get disappointed. Just like in 2018, a lot of people were being so optimistic and saying that price will go up, even the so called experts deceived us by saying we will see the price get to $25,000 before the end of December lol.

Well, I as well didn’t believe them , cause they were the same people that said 2018 was a year for correction in the market, he can they turn at last and start saying it’s for bull run? My advice for you is don’t rely on what people has to say, just do your thing.

This is something I can agree with, it is unlikely the price of bitcoin is going to moon in this year but that is good news this means that we can stock all the bitcoin we can during the next months for cheap prices while everyone is worried about investing in the market and we will be the ones that will get the most profits once the market begins to skyrocket in 2020.

Well it's been trading sideways already, so definitely the bear still control the market. So its safe to say that we might be expending a bear season till Q1 of this year as there are no clear indications that the bulls is around the corner.

So its better to accumulate more coins at this situation and HODL. I'm not sure about the "issue" that you are saying, there are no issues except that investors are not. coming in, even fresh blood understands the risk and how volatile this market is. On the contrary, there are speculators who is making money out of this bear market so its going to be interesting to see how are they going to respond in case a bullish trend emerges.

If you believe in crypto and the way it can be used across the world when some government start legalising it things will change much quicker and also will be in high demand . This will lead to your price rise and also will help many people who can set their business related to it and will also lead to price rise .

I think digital currencies will stabilize around June 2019 and enter the early stages of a recession like the kangpo cycle theory. Start slowly or quickly.Kangbo depression is 100% all rush high fall.DAPP, based on various public chains, will flourish. But there are doubts. I don't know what role digital currency will play in the development of 5G.So my optimism may be blind.thank you.

I doubt in stable price, this year there will be a struggle for every inch of this global market. There are good news, but price can't break 4000 dollars, we are more under that mark than over. If we are luck we will rise this bottom to 5 or 5 thousands dollars in next several months. That will be temporary, I expect many uptrends and downtrends in this year. It will be a fight to get to 5 digits price again, I hope we will see that by the end of this year, but in crypto you can't guarantee anything, I will concentrate on this up and down trends and I will try to earn more coins on that fluctuations.

Though the negative predictions do affects the price but don't believe that that is going to play out this year.  We have many good events and approvals coming up especially the ETF.  If sec eventually approved ETF in 2019, we will get the best time in cryptocurrencies market as since 2016 till date the reject of ETF has been the major reason reason for the falling of bitcoin price at a particular time.  If we should look at what happened in the beginning of 2018 , we were having so many attacks on the market but this year from beginning we are having quite market.  I strongly believe that before end of the first quarter we are going to have good market.

Just let the flow of the market continues, don't make any predictions because too much of expectations hurt the market already a lot.Now the people are coming back to the reality and forget about $20K in 2019 and they are seeing the practical growth still there is no hope for us to see big bump in this year so just let hope and see the remaining later.

People have been spoiled back in 2017 with how pretty much every coin in the market exploded over 1000%, which seems to be their new 'normal' standard now unfortunately.

Every minor leg up currently brings back the hope that a bull run is about to start, while they completely ignore the fact that we're still going through a bear market, and that we're still dealing with lower highs and lower lows.

In other words, as long as people still hope for a bull run to pop up, they are still holding their coins, and these are exactly the people you want to get rid of, because they are nothing more than selling pressure on the way up.

I think there will be a recovery in 2019, indeed the pumping market cannot be seen right away, but in crypto trips in 2019 there will be time to pump up.
Maybe there is but don't expect a price that was like on 2017 because halving is almost coming so you do the math. It seems like people aren't done yet fantasizing the $20k and the others are still expecting a $100k price during the bull market. lol, A whole year without a bull run is quite enough to understand that the market keeps declining the prices. Especially today that the price doesn't want to move up or even move a bit, it seems that day traders are doing there best to recover their losses from the market.

That is the reason also why our market can't move into the high level cause nothing in the market goes into buying and selling, instead they'll keep on holding. I understand of what they feel and of what they want, but it doesn't mean we can't move on and do accept things happen today and even last year. Many were losing and so I, but there is a way to recover this if we open our mind and continue of what we do in those year where crypto is at ATH.

Its understandable why they keep buying and selling even in this low, their intention is to make money no matter of how the situation and they are going to take any kind of risk for that. Now the problem arises that every holder want to minimize the losses by trading it which is the thing restricting people from going anywhere and stuck at the same region again after $6000 scenario.

I really hope that 2019 will be a friendly year for crypto, but seems like there will be more obstacles that need to tackle in this year, many expert predicted that the market is going to be very fluctuative with a lot of sideways, many good news are coming but until now the enthusiasm of the investors is not too good

I think 2019 is still bear trend for bitcoin. There is will be many "issue" in 2019, so price from bitcoin will down. 2019 is not time for bitcoin to the moon, but 2019 is time so stock bitcoin.

Yeah until now bitcoin on bear trend, like i said its not time for to the moon but it is our chance to get bitcoin in low price.

Yeah we can see trend of bitcoin on Q1 2019, but if we see now it will be bear trend on this year. "Issue" i mean is a bad news aboutc crypto so it can make bitcoin down. Like few days ago. cryptopia was hacked, there is a very bad news for crypto and i think it effect to bear trend from bitcoin too.
