about 80 coins on top 100 look good to buy. they may look good to buy but volatility is still volatility. i like top 10 coins alot but still risky to invest no? i may invest in those coins just looking at it everyday.

most people buy that green chart even though it's more risky than the red graph, fearing that we might even be harmed by cheering when prices have soared and I think when is the right time to buy because all coins are cheap

Okay, let's disregard the volatility in comparison since all of cryptos are naturally volatile. Top 10 alts can still be considered more stable in a sense that they got more holders among the rest, meaning they are more trusted by the holders. If a particular coin is more trusted, it will have a greater chance of staying in the market and grow bigger as well compare to the rest that might not have a bright future at all leading to become a shitcoin soon.

There are 'gems' among top100 coins (ranked at CMC by market cap), indeed! We are in very suitable market situation to buy and hold with mid term investment strategy (ca 1 year).

if you are sure to invest, then immediately do it because every coin has a different price and tends to change every day, if today is suitable to invest, then immediately to do it so it is not too late.

Buying coins at top 100 is good if you had time to check their prices as those coins will not last longer due to fewer volume. It's just good for short term and once the price will start to pump you need to decide to sell while it has volume. Don't be greedy to wait that it will hit the moon.

80 coins are too much, and I don't think you can handle all of them. Better to choose 10 coins or less than 80 coins, you don't have to confuse to check one by one. But it is fine if you want to invest for 80 coins for a long time and I think it will give you a big profit in the future. If you look into the list of top 80 coins in coinmarketcap, most of them are corporate coins and having enormous amount of circulating supply that is the reason they are getting listed into top 100 coins. With most of the coins, I'm not seeing any future. I mean to say it is not good to go for blindly choosing the top level coins for investing. Heavy promotions are more than enough for them to get listed in top.

It is good idea to choose coins based on coinmarketcap but after getting the top list, we must need to go for doing our own researches so that we can filter out more effectively. Price of ETH few weeks ago was $90, that should have been the price that looks good to buy. If you are a holder anyway, you can buy now and wait.

Buying 80 coins is too many for an investment portfolio for a start, I suggest you to do research of all these coins and drill down to maybe 10 coins to start off with.  You can slowly add on more coin to your portfolio as time go by.

i do not totally agree with you, it is always risk in making investment on the basis of rank . however there may be profit as well. we have seen these top 20 coins gone up to 50 x and than back to their position. i prefer to make the investment only after doing research instead of making it in top 10 or 20 coins.
