I tried to go through the home page of bitvest this afternoon and I find out that about 70% of the open trade were in green. It seems many bet are in positive and that means alot has been made this year.  How much did you made from all your betting and gambling this year?

I made around 3.64BTC this year. Each day if I were to bet 0.01BTC then I would lose them all everyday. Since I did not bet a single penny (actually I did twice or thrice here and there) meaning I saved all my BTC hehe

I didn't made much profits from gambling not only in 2018 just all time,so unlucky person.

This year in sports betting and trading i earned 80% of my loss in 2018, some good tipsters i got through which i made a lot of profit, betting small bets on low odds made me good ROI in the end.

Just a little bit but not too much I think that is around 0.1 Bitcoin, I stopped gambling when the market so down, I'll do this because I'm not buying Bitcoin when it is the lowest price in the market, I gambled through my earning here in the forum when I get a fraction amount of Bitcoin as a reward. So far, I think I don't have a loss in the gambling world because I know where to stop if necessary.

I would ask people how much they have spent in the gambling sites. I don't think we will see many people made much profit. Gambling sites are there for you to run their own business LOL

Anyway gamble responsibly.

No profit but not in loss also. I am even. Very occasionally, once in a month I put few bucks, even I lose all ,I do not regret that few bucks.

Chill buddy, you are not the only one that looks like a loser this year. I think most of us in the gambling are losers when they couldn't control their self from keep on betting even they were on a losing streak already. Thinking that if they double their bets would make it easy to recover their loses but they were wrong. It makes it more worst than losing a single round.

This is really an interesting year and a good year for me. I don't really want to share the numbers but let's say I spend a little and yeah, won not that close to that little amount. Been busy to a lot of things that I can't gamble that often now and I know that is a good thing. I may lose this year and that is fine with me since I knew I did well avoiding gambling and controlling myself.

I couldn't tell the overall amount I made from each casinos and sportsbook because not all of them tracks your profit(on casinos i'm in the negative). All I know is that I lost a lot this year probably more than 1 BTC if winnings are included. I did save some of the profits i've won from contests, promotions and random sessions so it's not always a loss for me.  

I'll probably say I lost like .5 BTC - 1 BTC this year. My bad luck started around August and it seems that I'm having a hard time to recoup either online or playing at land based casino. 2017 was a good year for me, but i guess you can't really win every time. But I'm still good though, nothing to worry on my end, I can live another day and gamble. But I probably stop for a while and wait till this year is over and try my luck again next year.

I'm not yet an online gambler, but at least an aspiring one. It is because I'm not done researching all the basics that I should know, I don't want to risk my money in a place which I'm not really familiar at all :D. Maybe next year, when I already conditioned myself, I will try first dice betting or betting in basketball matches.

But when we are talking about actual gambling, actually I have no idea how much accumulated profit I earned but I can say that I'm a little bit fortunate this year because I felt that my win streaks are often every time I play chinese poker and other card games along with my friends.

@omonuyak. If you want the replies to be truthful, I reckon the title should be how much did you lose instead of how much did win hehehe.

I also reckon that it would have been another good year for sportsbooks if bitcoin maintained a price on top of $10k.

Probably 0.02-0.03, i usually gambling with small amount, and play it slowly. I could make more if i'm not greedy in the past, when i want to turn my 10 bucks to 100 bucks.

You are still lucky that you can control your greediness since there are a lot of gamblers out there that can't.

I've lost a few but that is not even considered a lost compared to huge amounts that a lot of gamblers lost this year. I think they are talking about 10s to 100s Bitcoins being lost to gambling, it might have reach 1000s as we don't know how much people bet. Still lucky I don't have that much greed to lose that kind of amount.

Same here, it hasn't been a good year for me in terms of gambling as i have lost about 90% of all my soccer and tennis bets this year through various bookies but never did bitvest. My losses just like yours are insignificant compared to the millions that people loose in Vegas , Macau, Paris casinos and the likes but i will still try to reflect, correct and improve my game for the incoming year.

i see that most of your losses are from sport betting games and sports book .  anyway , why did you try your luck on other types of gambling like casino's ( e.g poker , roulette , slot machines , etc ) you can enjoy them all at 777 coin  .  maybe you will be luckier this time with these kind of games .

Now Back to the original topic . in   terms of losses , my losses were not really big at all because this year i was saving most of my cryptos due to the current market condition  .

Unlike on the year 2017,  i did loose alot because the value of cryptos back then was pretty expensive .

I was on a roll for the first six months of this year. But suddenly my luck turns upside down, but I continue to play but with small amounts only so I would say that I'm break even this year. And thanks to the bear market, I learn to control my gambling otherwise all the bitcoins I saved will be swept in just a couple of days.

Lol, I even make a negative profit if I am able to look back the history of my bets. Fortunately I didn't count how much money I already spend through gambling so the number won't hurt me a lot. Usually I play only with small part of my money and I just play it for fun.

It`s how you should gamble, with just part of your money and for fun, that`s gambling for. My 2018 was pure fun, I`m on the same amount I started with, I can`t compare past years and this one, cause this one was really busy for me and I didn`t have so much time for gambling, that`s why I didn`t lost or won much, just fun. Some cash poker when I can, I played dices, this year I almost didn`t play slots like I use to before. Well I hope next year I will have more free time, when it`s about gambling you need to have a lot of free time, to follow promotions, to always try and try, and I hope next year will be better for all of us here, good luck!

We're the same situation buddy, I usually gambled on dice gambling site but there's such time that I always lose my money. Well, it's not too hurt because I only spend that have spare on my pocket that can I afford if ever I have a loss. I didn't count because I know I didn't have profit on gambling on this year, at least I've enjoyed every time I gambled.

I usually don't put or record anything but I guess I also didn't make that much this year. I would say that probably break even at this point because I chooses to just save my bitcoin and not to risk them because my portfolio is dwindling because of the worsening market conditions. My biggest winning this year is just around 0.020 BTC and just around $100 in a land based casino.

Not so much I always think about earning in gambling but it will not happen for me in this year because gambling gives both profit and loss equally so how investment will not grow up with the gambling business otherwise gambling is an fun and entertainment one you can definitely enjoy cabling if we had a lot more investment.

Its hard to compute the exact amount but I’m pretty sure its a not a loss for me this year (2018). I gamble sometimes and the result is very positive for me. I believe the things that help me to succeed in gambling is that, I know how to control myself and I know how to cut my loses, so over all 2018 is a good year for me in terms of my gambling activities.

I am not a full-time Gambler but I gamble with little more money and I can get a little bit otherwise I do not entered into full-time and gambling because gambling will not you profit at all time that's why I am doing this.

Even though I rarely bet this year, but it does provide a not bad profit, hopefully it will continue to satisfy the user for the following year too. But however., everything returns to each luck in bets made in some games in it, also it would be better if getting lucky seeds in certain games.

SAMe here budz,i have no luck in gambling via online betting ,for couple of years trying to play some online gambling and all i got is failure,not like in my actual gaming experiences that more than half of my bets won,and i came home more winningss than losses.lthough until now i am trying my luck for some online gaming gambling

I don't count my loses anymore, but I'm sure I lose a lot this year.
What's important is that I enjoyed gambling and only spend based on budget, gambling is still good, although I'm losing.
I win some and loss some, but overall, it's negative.

For me , 2018 was a good year in terms of gambling for me. I mostly do trading and gambling using bitcoins. This year i won more in gambling but the amount i invest in trading is still at a loss due to bear market all around the year.

I tried to monitor my loses and earnings before but as the day past by, I lost the paper and never see it again. I believe im on the breakeven this year since I’ve spent a little time in gambling. Luckily, I’m busy with other things and it save me from losing big money. 2018, is still a good year for me because of so many blessings that I’ve received, gambling is part of that too.

I remember I have lost about 0.15 in total, I have probably waged a bit over 2 bitcoins and all of that came from bets that were around 100 satoshi or so each time, never really liked gambling a lot all at once so I keep the amounts quite low.

I didn't really gambled all that much this year because trading was already gambling enough so while focusing on not losing the money I have it was quite impossible to keep track of gambling wins and losses and also enjoy them, sometimes I just gambled because I have lost so much money that at that point I could lose some more and at least do something I like doing instead of just having bitcoin and being punished for it.

I aim to increase my wagered amount next year if the price goes higher though, when the prices are going down gambling isn't all that fun so I will be checking the price and wager accordingly.

Why didn't you assume betting with 0.1 BTC? You would have "made" 36.4 BTC then. :) But seriously, when I read your first sentence I believed it right away for some reasons. That's a gambler's mind: we always want to believe that if not we then at least someone else is winning big.

As for myself, I think that my profit for this year is around 0.02 BTC. And that was possible only because I was playing many positive EV games, or, in other words, promotional games with guaranteed prizes. First of all, I calculated whether the prize was worth playing, and if it was so, then I played. Sometimes it doesn't worth it. For example, if you have to wager over 1 BTC to get 0.005 BTC as a prize in a wagering contest on a site with 1% house edge, you will most likely lose more than than the prize while wagering that 1 BTC.

I am earn a little more from gambling but not to hire but this year is not so good for all the people but gambling will always be helpful for a little profit to earn without any work so it is also a good thing to develop again more for many places.

Made about +250 USD from gambling and just in 1 day, in another day i lost 10 usd and i stopped betting, lol. So, it's clear that i did 240 USD profits from betting this year with only some GREEN bets and some easy losses. I'm out of gambling in 2k19.. I won't risk anything for anything, lol.

I used to gamble a lot long ago. There were no single day that I did not gamble for consecutive few years. I lost a lot earned a lot but end of the day I discovered the losing side was more than the winning side. It was hard to give up the addiction but I did eventually.

Its funny whenever i realized how are my gambling results for this year. I won i think thrice for the twenty games i play. You see, there is not really a money in gambling and it cannot be the source of financial income. If people tells you that they earn more, maybe im just unlucky and gambling isnt for me. But yeah, ill do it for fun so no regrets at all.

I choose not to gamble this year, and I'm glad that I made that decision because Bitcoin went on a bearish trend. So I didn't win any but by reading most of the comments, there are people who still continue to play but I don't blame them though. But on my part its tough to lose because I have work hard to earn bitcoins so I wouldn't put too much risk.

I only lost money during 2018 in gambling so the question that I ask myself is how much money do I need to recover the lost amount because I have lost account of how much is the sum that I left in gambling during this year.

Nevertheless I plan to continue to gamble during 2019 and I am hopeful that this coming year will a better one for me in gambling.

I can't say I have won many times but it's just a decent amount that is not good to be bragging. I am not totally wanting to earn in gbling because I only do this just for leisure and not for earnings.

I have no details on how much I have won or I have lost during this year, but I'm very sure that I'm in a profit. Not too much profit but still good amount IMO as my main reason to gamble is not for profit but for entertaining purpose only. Maybe next year I will do calculation for my gambling activity so I will know the exact number (at least closest number) of my gambling result.

It is good if you end up in profit as losing  is very easy in gambling and also going forward everyone should calculate their profit or loss as much as possible to get better idea if they are making or losing money from gambling and can decide accordingly if wish to continue or stop .

With the world championships I won a nice amount of money. Many bookmakers gave special actions, which helped in achieving some profit.

I have lost 0.02 or close. I don't bet most often nowadays because I am too much busy with my business. Although I had made a few in the last FIFA world cup. In fact, this world cup was in favor of me.

Many of us don't know how much we make in 2018, but we know that many of us are making a loss in huge money from gambling. It's not easy to make money from gambling, and it's why only a few people who were still playing gambling that can win some money. I think my earning in gambling was too small depends on my losing, and I never calculate or make a note about that. But still, I don't want to calculate the money I use in gambling.

That's the story for me too and many of the other people who do gambling. More than 80% of the people lose in gambling more than winning. I myself think that gambling cannot be a full time income source or those who think they can live on gambling only, should reconsider their decision.

Same thing with me though I think I only lose small money since I don’t gamble everyday. Long term gambling is really not good, it will just make your money lose so better not to make serious on gambling. If you won in gambling, save some money and don’t go back to casinos because you will just lose that money.

if your are lucky enough why would you limit yourself ?  playing long term is also not about profit because i knew a player that plays gambling for over a decade now and he said he only play because he wants to past the time  .

 anyway  my own winnings this year are only less than 0.1 btc because im not really that active anymore when compared to before  .  market situation is also another factor on why my profits are affected  compared to previous years of playing online gambling   .

If you have lost small money it is fine as consider it as the money you had spent for the fun activity or the entrance fee to enter the Casino. This is the easy way to think and move on in life and strategies how you can make money in 2019 and only gamble for fun.

This is what gambling is supposed to be, we should only spent the money we can afford to lose and it should be lower in order for you not to be addict on it. I don't earn a lot also in gambling, I think for the whole year I only spend 1 week in the casinos, and because of that I was able to save myself from losing. This is about self control and not about how much money you make, because if you don't have this that money will be lose later on.

In 2018 i cleared my loss and earned nearby 0.6 btc, it was sports betting which covered my loss as i followed the bankroll system and only had my bet on the sports where i was confident of my bets to win, odds were small but profit was confirm and this way i covered my loss and earn profit. HOpe that in 2019 i will earn nearby 5 btc target.

For me, it is difficult to earn almost 0.6 btc, especially in the sports betting since I don't place any bets in the sports. I am too worry if I get lost in the sports because I don't know anything about sports, but I enjoy watching the match on the television. Making 5 btc as your target will be hard to reach if you don't have valid info about the match and it makes you confuse to determine to choose which team. But with your experience, I am sure you can handle it with easy.

Believe it or not, I made 0.09 profit from 1 day gambling.
I was playing on dice with 0.01 % chance and let's the auto bet working. It hit less than 1000 bet which I'm in profit.

It was unexpected and very amazing gambling experience I've ever had

a few thousands because i have a limit of $50.  if i don't win, i stop, otherwise, i might end up losing more.  just a little discipline to past away time.  with my coins, i never tried.

To be honest, this year is one of my best year of gambling, I made some good profit here and there, sportsbook, casino, etc. But the bitcoin and other crypto price keep decreasing, and I only bet on crypto betting site, so yeah my profit is a little bit cut because of this bearish. After all I still made a good amount of money, and at least I didn't lose any money I guess.

thousand dollar isnt bad at all because it is actually a big amount but i salute you for being a patient person thinking that most of gamblers nowadays are verry greedy  . next time try to increase your limits if ever you feel lucky  .

I am not going to post specific values but 2018 was actually a positive year in net BTC won however if you take it into USD value then the winnings aren't as massive since BTC lost 50% of its value pretty much at the end of the year. And i've had some large winnings at the beginning of the year when it was around $13K.

My only advice I can give to people is this... don't keep your entire BTC stack on the gambling site. This is due to risky hack risk or simply by hitting the MAX bet button by accident. Or by thinking that the 20th roll won't be a loss on martingale and basically lose another 50% of all your savings in 1 bet trying to break-even.  Many who tried to "break-even" went "broke" instead of "moderate losses".

The problem with betting only on favorites, on "right" bets, is that when you lose, you need several other bets to recover.

I didn't get much profit from gambling in 2018, except that every money I get will be collected to gamble again. I always separate money to gamble and money for investing as well as the yield of both. This is an anticipation when my wallet is thinned because I lost the gamble so I have to try to win even though in the end luck will decide to win the bet. Also agreed with it, when someone has a lot of capital at the gambling site, the risk of losing will come to him. The risk of hacking and the most damaging is oversee one's passions when gambling, maybe everyone knows how someone behaves when they gamble, most of them will use their desires rather than their minds.

I am not sure about the specific value but since I usually gamble when there is a contest or promotion running and most of the time I did get some decent prize I think I am still in profit overall but its not too much but its a decent amount for me :)

I just started gambling around November with a 0.003 BTC. I only used a small amount because I'm afraid and its my first time in betting. Overall, I think I got some profits but its not that much but its okay since I'm just starting to gamble. At this moment, I stopped gambling because of lack of funds. I used my winnings in gambling in the Christmas and New Year season. Hope this year, I will be lucky in gambling :D.

I also like to wager on gambling sites that are holding wagering contest for the players, because I think it is a good way for the players to gain a better advantage against the casino house edge implemented on the games, even if a player lose a small amount of his initial deposit in the casino, if he is able to win a prize in the wagering contest, he might still be able to generate some profits from the prizes given to him by the casino.

in 2018 I did not get a good phase in gambling, but I did not regret because what was on my mind was that gambling was an entertainment, so I did not regret too much when I lost. I always think of gambling as an entertainment, if I win then I will be grateful and when I lose then I can eliminate the stress level that I have. this is entertainment, let's be happy and we will get happiness.

In the last few years, 2019 was my least amount on gambling. Maybe because I am losing the appetite to gamble much after losing too much in crypto. I think I earned around $500 to $1,000 only. Good thing is that I became more choosy on my picks that I nearly won all my bets on sports.

I think firstly you wanted to say 2018. It is still better that you had made some money rather than losing the money. I hope you are not addicted or devote too much time to gambling as it can lead to addiction and it can effect your health.

It's just a sad thing that I didn't any money from playing. All of it was just for fun, I didn't even consider on winning so much money what I'm more concerned about is being without money to spend during the happy times :) It's kinda irritating but the fact that you've been enjoying the game even if you're losing tons of money, nothing/no one can give that any value.

I don't keep track so I'm not really sure but I'm probably  in the negative for the year.  I did have some big wins on a few NBA games but I could never keep my luck up.  I hope 2019 is a better year and my luck will turn around.  Even if I lose a small amount gambling it will be reversed with the next crypto bull run.

This 2018 was a practical year for me, did not gamble that much and played safe throughout the years since I had to save up money since I am looking forward to buy myself something that I'll need in the future and I am glad that I have completed my goal, 2019 is a different year and I'll make sure that I won't waste any penny over gambling, I'll make sure that I'll benefit from gambling and betting.

Sport betting can be preferrable for the people who knows all about the games and history behind it so it may give us idea about who is going to win,its lucky that you won all but it may not happen again as well sodon't gamble too much or the money which is not affordable for you to lose.

That's actually right. That's why I like to bet on underdogs. If I bet on the favorite team, it is likely that I am going to win 0.3- 0.5 for my 1btc. But that's not enough. That's shit. These are small potatoes. Then I'll bet on the favorite again, and In case it is my lucky day, I'll win again. But it is still not enough. It is never enough. I'll bet on favorites till I lose everything and that's usually the second or the third game.

On the other hand,

If I bet on the weaker team, It is instant. If I lose, I'll lose small and it is over. No more gambling that week. If I win however, now that's almost enough.

I can't make an exact estimation of how much profit I made from gambling in 2018, but I can approximate that overall, I was not on the losing side and I also made some pretty big wins and the biggest profit margin was ~ 0.05 at a go on an accumulated football bet, and my overall profit should range between 0.4 - 0.6 BTC.

I don't have any record on how much I made for 2018 with gambling but I don't gamble that much so I guess it won't be that much.

2018 was a big year for me in terms of growth. Because majority of my holdings peaked high profiting me with good returns. Same happened with gambling, I always prefer sports betting. I made around 1.5 btc through different sports betting. Finally I lost everything in a month's time. After which I realized and started to spend on gambling with limitations which lets me to avoid big losses.

This is what happen if we continue to gamble. We may earned a lot last year but it can be gone easily if we still choose to play. By this, I can say that all the profit that we made in gambling will still lose in the future.

My 2018 seems good, since I'm now an occasional gambler who visits a nearby casino for once or twice a month. I still manage to win at least $800+ (that's around Php 44,000+), I do monitor my gambling expenses, just to avoid getting things out of hand again. Though, I also have some visits where I lost around $50-100, fortunately I did recover on the next visit. I'm hoping that this year, I manage to the same.

Not that much. Losing is a common thing in gambling because winning cannot be manipulated in the hands of the gamblers. It is just pure luck and fate. Last year, my biggest winning is more or less 10000usd and I would say that it is far lower than what I have lost last year. But such thing is what makes gambling, fun. It might sound foolish but the thrill that it is giving particularly with the some people winning and most of the people losing, is the best concept of gambling.IT just shows that not everyone are lucky enough. On top of these realizations, I just enjoy my gambling experience through good gambling games and good people to play with, I consider this as my winnings in gambling. I do not really bet that much because I just gamble to release my stress and to just kill time which I think is my difference from other gamblers in this industry.

I would prefer to not give an exact value, but my revenue from gambling (mostly betting) in 2018 was over 0.25BTC, mostly through CS:GO betting on various lower-to-medium tier leagues where I made decent profits on upsets and bets that offered very good risk for reward- having good risk management saved me on multiple occasions where some bets that I though were very safe failed.

I typically don't play games like slots or dice as they typically have high house edge and I don't enjoy them much in the first place, and I also typically stay away from card games as well except for some occasions simply due to the fact that I haven't played any card games in quite some time. Hopefully 2019'll bring better things.

You rarely find one person that can say they are one profit from gambling on a long term.
