Every time I think of selling, the thought of being without any (and thus holding only fiat), makes me sweat and shiver.


Bitcoin....the internet's calming, soothing antiperspirant.

When I started to use bitcoin it was pure because it was decentralized, transparent, quick, no high fees, no signatures, no possibility of chargebacks etc. At that time price was around 5-$20 and unfortunately I was too ignorant to realize it's potential.

As of right now main use of Bitcoin would be as investiment or trading. Higher transaction fees with limited transactions per block limits it's use as a daily payment method.

Yeh, I have a similar feeling. When I type Sell buttom, I feel really nervous. I know that in the next year it would be much more and now I'm selling it. It's better to hold without any movements.

Good question, I wonder what it would take to make bitcoin more suitable for day to day use. I think the price needs to stabilize and there need a number of breakthroughs in second layer solutions. Right now I'm pretty sure the main use is as a store of value and it's mostly used on exchanges where it's traded by bots. Kinda sucks knowing that a peer to peer currency is primarily used for trading on centralized exchanges... like... what??

for me bitcoin is my personal offshore trust fund.

i didnt need to hire solicitors or accountants to set it up, i didnt need to sign contracts or declarations. i just bought some bitcoin.

many people who would love to have a trust but think all the legal stuff of fiat trusts is a turn off are starting to see how just buying bitcoin is the easiest way to create their own personal family trust and store funds away securely out of jurisdictional/taxable/financial rules

bitcoin is also my easy way to play markets. much easier than playing the penny stocks/forex. much more fun and dramatic too.

bitcoin is also my electronic cash where i use my profits to buy food, pay bills without getting bank statements or card statements in the mail.

its also better at privacy and security. i know people who shop using fiat and they get bombarded with jumkmail from the mailman with leaflets from businesses they frequent using their debit cards. meanwhile my mailbox happily just gets personal correspondance

using bitcoin i have never had to worry about things like bank robberies, visa hacks, paypal, amazon hacks. never needed to worry about card cloning, id theft. or other fiat concerns

You feel naked because of the constant feeling that you are going to miss profits. ;D
The same feeling started growing on me during the last 2 years.Before that,I didn't care that much about having or not having bitcoins.I know that this though/feeling/hope saves me from depression.

I cannot resist the urge to ask merchants if they accept Bitcoin payment and I always send a email to customer support, when I visit online ecommerce sites, to ask if they plan on accepting Bitcoin in the future.

I think when you used Bitcoin to pay for something and you see the potential to take this mainstream, then you cannot stop the urge to spread merchant adoption. <It is a safer method and a lot more convenient>  ;D

the best use for bitcoin i believe is for financial transaction online via websites that approve of its usage and also for trading in exchangers. the option of trading in exchangers actually brings in more money than the using it as a medium of payment online but the risk is higher on trading as the altcoin being traded might depreciate in value even in the process of trading

There are a lot of things where bitcoin can be used. I cannot decide the best usage of it since it really has a lot of usage specially in my everyday life. I use it for topping up my phone when it is necessary. I also pay my bills using it. I learned to trade because of it and I also earned profits from it.

I use bitcoin mainly as an investment vehicle. If I do not have bitcoin I feel so weak why I cannot hold some. I am keeping it because I know one day when the bull starts to move and the market recovers I may have the biggest gain among other investors too. But for now, just wait and let's see the time when it moves and makes people happy.

it's true that bitcoin friends are really the future coins because investing in bitcoin will be brighter than others. I'm also sure bitcoin will be used throughout the world after the next few years.

I use bitcoin accepting payment for my freelancer. I use it for gambling too, and buying some digital goods such as steam wallet or other. Since i got hacked in the past, i never store my bitcoin on wallet again for long time and always sell it to fiat.

In the beginning stage when I entered into this field I was that we can do much more things with this investment but when comparing this year to the previous year the excitement and expectation will reduce the a lot so we cannot do anything without the development of Bitcoin.

I agree in your opinion, yes there's lot of usage of bitcoin and even me I cannot decide cause all of them are so very important. Bitcoin help me when I need load in my cellphone , on buying stuffs and also not only investing.I also learned how to trade and which help me to gain profits and knowledge too.

Bitcoin is anonymous payment system that is decentralized system without using third parties to make the transactions and for me having bitcoin as a daily use on everyday could change on how payment transactions should be in the future when mass adaptation is available. Being said the use of bitcoin i do believe that the ideology of it serves a great purpose for benefits of everyone for early adapters and investors of bitcoin.

You feel this way because you are not trading BTC - USDT, if you were to trade then you would already be accustomed. I buy bitcoins, I earn bitcoins from the signature campaign and I also do trade so that it is possible that in a few years I will have many bitcoins and that is my retirement, this is an investment that will benefit me in the next 10 years

I was always interested in the moment of applicability of the blockchain in real life. And I never understood the expediency of the heap of these ridiculous coins with their droshchevymi blokcheynami (now about Pow only) - what for they need that ?! - potential rudiment of technology development, IMHO.

And it has always been discouraged by the very popular opinion that "cryptocurrency is a bubble, and warhead technology has great prospects" - IMHO is a complete bredyatin)


Kmk, now humanity is enough to have one CU !!! But 100% reliable and uncontrollable = not controlled, from which you can build any sidechain - services, services, state registries ... but whatever. What for 100500 of these vulnerable pow networks? All these attempts and fables from the series - "we will create our own warhead" look like scam and pure hype. Is there a cue ball that prevents you from sawing any projects with validation in his network ???

 

Why am I all this - besides, the cue ball will live and flourish .... for 10 years after Satoshi no one has yet come up with anything fundamentally new in this area .... Satoshi invented the wheel, and all the other projects look like for 10 years at best - as bows and tinsel attached to the same wheel and having no practical value, and on average - just like shit stuck to this wheel)))

I think that the best use for btc now is holding it for some time before the price goes up. To my mind, it is better to hold it until 2019 because its price will be growing

For now, and for me. I use Bitcoin for trading purposes and making a lot of money from it by making a lot of transaction and gaining a lot of it.

Bitcoin is a real fiat creation because my country prohibits using bitcoin for payment transactions but is allowed to be traded as a commodity. Saving bitcoin is still good for the next 10 years because this technology still promises to be used by many companies.

For me , it's just for investment purpose so when I need money, I will take the profit that I've obtain.
But if there is not then I can start invest on low value to get quick profit in a second.

You can use bitcoin for transaction payment or you can use for investing or trading, but I like use only for trading or investing because more profitable than have use bitcoin as transaction.

That's something, to be honest. Unlike you, I find the use of Bitcoin to be my convenient. I can use Bitcoin as a way of payment around the world without restriction. My country supports Bitcoin and that it is being use in a practical way. I can even pay bills with it.

Best use case is as a decentralised currency that can bypass the tyrants in certain countries that embezzle and scam their own people. It is a savior in some countries and ensures that the people have a usable currency

Well we all have different perspective towards how Bitcoin will benefit us, and for most of the people here I think the main reason is for having profit gaining  profit and investments, and there is no problem with that we dont have to seek further and deeper thing how to people can possibly benefit in this community but preferably if it helps most of us.

True bitcoin is a good investment in the future. You are so prepared in your future cause your half of your salary invest in bitcoin it is good. Holding cash now are so nervous cause sometimes they are not safe but in bitcoin your money is safe here.

Yeah sometimes it's really hard to think that if you don't have bitcoins in your wallet and only fiat. lol. So we need to be very careful and think twice before selling it. I always used my bitcoin in paying my monthly bill so personally I have to make ways and earn so that I can be calm.

For me bitcoin has been for more than tow years now the only way i am able to get income, since i am still a student ever since i started using bitcoin i was able to make some decent amount of money that helped me and still does with covering some expenses and buying thing that if it was not for the bitcoin i wouldn't be able to get them, besides for me working online and earning bitcoin is much more fun and dynamic than getting a part time job at a coffee shop or a restaurant or even an office.

I also can not imagine my life without cryptocurrency. Everyday I come on this forum, every day I read about the cripto, I make investments. I believe that crypto will help improve your life.

Bitcoin has the advantage of making us feel safer and more comfortable in storing and using it than fiat. With fiat, we fear things that are not desirable, with bitcoin we keep saving without anyone knowing our assets.

The best use for bitcoin is that we USE it, we dont have to spend all of
what we have but it is important to use it as it was intended, buy stuff,
pay your friends and family for odd job for example.

I earn and buy bitcoin and I hold a greater percentage of it for the long
term and a smaller percentage i spend.

Unfortunately bitcoin is not used like it was supposed to be used or designed to be use, it was a decentralised payment option but now it's just like an investment scheme and people prefer other crypto coins with faster transaction time for payments and all.

The inevitable fact is that Bitcoin is still being used as a money making machine. On the other hand there is no other alternative. So only goal of using cryptocurrency is profit and being in second place of XRP is the description of everything.

Never ever think of loosing out on the next bitcoin peak. The circle has just begun and it will culminate in 2021. So keep on accumulating your bitcoin

This is a fomo feel imo. You have to feel like it’s a way of transacting and as objective as possible for you to be focused in generating some like money. Best use would be for trading and means of payment for products or services.
