Title: WHERE IS ETHEREUM HEADED?
Post by: Leonardo7 on January 01, 2019, 08:41:23 PM
In recent days, ETH has left the $80 zone and currently at $122-145 zones, which is not too bad for a coin that has an abysmal performance.

NETWORK UPGRADE

We understand that there is a network upgrade coming up by mid-January called "Constantinople", this is to handle the many flaws of the ethereum network, ranging from slow confirmation time, high fee and numbers of transactions per seconds/scalability.

HARDFORK

There is another rumor that a hardfork will take place by 11th of January 2019, which will create a new coin and every ETH holders will receive 3ETCV(Ethereume classic Vision). 1:3. 1ETH=3ETCV. For example, if you have 100ETH in your private wallet you have the private key to, you will receive 300ETCV. So am just wondering if ETH will fall after the upgrade and fork or just keep rising. You can check the Hardfork ANN thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089443.0

I did hear the news that in January 2019 there will be Hardfork, but I have not heard or seen that the news will make new coins and every ETH holder will receive 3ETCV (Ethereume Classic Vision). I don't think this will affect the price of ETH.

I don't think that affect Ethereum negatively, the upgrade will be done with intention of improving the ethereum blockchain generally and reducing block reward to 2 ETH, That's a positive move to increase ETH value.

It's possible, but I don't think Ethereum price will change too much. ETH is still very close to BTC price and if BTC price will change ETH will change into the same direction. It's possible that BTC / ETH ration will change a little bit, but in general ETH should be stable in my opinion.
Not to be compared to Bitcoin Cash when Bitcon Cash ABC and Bitcoin Cash Satoshi Vision was forked and BCH price got dumped.  :D

The new token is a misleading news and you are totally creating a misleading thread to promote your ETCV. that's a crap coin that tried to sell the name of ethereum hardfork for your benefits. It's so easy to predict what are you talking about.

I dont understand why there's a need for another fork coin? did we already have it right?

As for the hardfork it is the constantinople itself. But with that ETCV, yeah we'll get new coin but I don't think that will even have worth something.

If ETCV is really a hardfork of Ethereum then why the hell is there a bounty campaign for it already?

I agree, the forking is going to make the situation become worse, from the history the forking coin never did anything good and always being abandoned by people, and usually the forking is going to cause the price to fall down, and since eth in a bad situation, this is forking is going to have a big impact on eth

I'm also surprised why they had a bounty campaign when the news is everywhere about the fork, if they are indeed a legit fork of ethereum, all the other fork I read did not have a bounty campaign on them, will follow that ETCV to see what's happening and check if they are indeed an official fork of Eth.

Thank you for sharing, I have already started to participate in this publicity campaign, and work hard for this to let more people know about this fork event.

This two are the different events. Yes Ethereum will go for system upgrade from POW to POS method.

The other one mean ETCV is completely a splitting new coin. And you can find info here: https://ethereumcv.io/
[Note; there will be no airdrop for Ethereum which holding exchanges. If you want to get your ETCV you have to hold your ETH in personel wallet.]

Forks are really making the situation worse and some are saying that they are scams which you can really think of.

With this fork (ETCV), how I wish that all the money that it will brought up will be transferred and poured to ETH.
