Many argue that one of the altcoins can probably in the future beat Bitcoin and be number 1 in CoinMarketCap. I believe Bitcoin will be never beaten by any altcoin, especially centralized one, because Bitcoin is decentralized, is the first crypto currency created, and worshipers of Bitcoin will increase over the time.
If another Bull run happens, Media will only talk and focus on Bitcoin, new comers in crypto will learn about Bitcoin first and foremost.
I believe in crypto. But I worship Bitcoin. And all the coming bull runs will be led by Bitcoin.

I do agree with you. Even if one of the altcoins will be supported by governments or will succeed. Bitcoin is Bitcoin. It doesn't need anyone to succeed, it's a success.

Your biggest mistake.. like majority of the rest of people that think that Bitcoin is decentralized.. how can you call "decentralized" something which supply is monopolized in so high ratio by a few mining groups? this is crazy.  the risk of  price manipulation is unacceptably high

Yes its a decentralized by nature, its just happen that whales are there to manipulate the market and trying to ruin everything. But of course there is still no altcoins that can replace bitcoin for so many reason and not just about being a decentralized market. Many investors still believe on bitcoin, they are still investing so for me, it will still last for more years on top or even forever.

There are many factors too be considered before beating bitcoin. If bitcoin was created at the same time with another altcoin, replacement is possible but as op told, you just cant think of an altcoin to replace bitcoin before of being the first cryptocurrency made in the market.

Yes, currently bitcoin was beaten by the paypal,visa and mastercard but we cant compare bitcoin with the mentioned payment system because literally was an asset and currency. However, those mentioned payment system have been in existence before the arrival of bitcoin.

I think all crypto prices are racing against the price of bitcoin, when bitcoin has experienced a huge decline like lately, of course crypto prices will follow it.

Once more i will explain why no ones can replace bitcoin in their position as king of cryptocurrency, in term of popularization bitcoin is very popular than to any came from the project development. and bitcoin is easy to use and to convert into fiat money uses worldwide.

It does seem likely that Bitcoin will remain number one for at least the short- and medium-term, but it won't necessarily stay there once crypto has matured and become part of everyday life. Current crypto prices are based largely on speculation and perceived future potential. But in the long-term prices will surely depend on utility. Maybe bitcoin will become the ultimate store of value, maybe changes and upgrades will make it the best choice for fast payments... or maybe ETH or another smart contract system will come to dominate the world as automation sweeps entire industries away. I would say the future is difficult to determine, and Bitcoin may remain number one in the long-term, but this is by no means certain.

Many people in my country considering when they were involved in crypto because they are very curious about the develop of bitcoin and i think their reasons also same such as other people and that's why bitcoin will always be number 1 because most people including me consider if they or me want to invest in crypto then obviously bitcoin will always be the main option

You're definitely right OP because I could remember when I wanted to start crypto currency trading and investment. Bitcoin was the reason why I entered into the crypto sphere in the first place and on getting to this forum I started to learn more about other coins. However, I believe that said one altcoin will take over the #1 spot from bitcoin were those that rely or still believe in the prediction made by a quantum physics astrologer about an altcoin to take over the number 1  spot from bitcoin.

O mean centralized cryptocurrencies like RIPPLE for example, that are controlled by governments which try to beat Bitcoin and control the market of cryptocurrencies. I think we can find the answer in Mr ROBOT Tv show.

This is where we started, and without bitcoin we are not enjoying this kind of situation. It cannot be replace by any coin, it will continue to grow that makes bitcoin remain on number one spot. We don’t have to argue about this because no matter how good the altcoins are, if there is no bitcoin its hard for them to survive.

It won't move to the highest peak if nobody's believe on this. Bitcoin have already created a great history and can't be denied thatany people were become millionaire just because of having these. Though it don't have a fixed asset value but the price is growing every year, and still it have a huge market demand.

I don't think there are such coins that would take the throne of Bitcoin, some have tried that already but they were all failed to do so. And some are trying to make a close name for Bitcoin but they were all called altcoins in the end. Bitcoin is the greatest invention of Satoshi Nakamoto that we are using until today despite being used it on different kind of transactions. This is still the best of all coins.

Bitcoin has already proved many times and many times will prove that it is the number one among all cryptocurrencies. Many people thought that it is able to overtake Ethereum, but so far this has not happened. All other coins are not even close to bitcoin in terms of capitalization and popularity.

Paypal and visa are accepted worldwide but when using you have to verify your identity, which makes people who have a lot of money feel very worried because they can investigate your property any time. For me Bitcoin should be the number one choice because its anonymity will make us safe and it will be difficult to investigate our account.

For the record, there have been several attempts by ETH and XRP, (Flippening/Rippening remember?). But it didn't happened because there's not enough support really push and overtake bitcoin. Why? Because investors will go to a coin where the chance to get big profits and at least sustainable.

There might be a time that a new coin will emerge and try to challenge bitcoin again. But it will be very difficult because bitcoin has gain world wide attention already and investors will not likely move away from buying it for the next 10 years or so. because bitcoin has not yet found any competitions in the crypto market for all crypto were just alternative to bitcoin. Meaning that all of the crypto are just basing on the bitcoin market price movement and thay influence its market price by bitcoin. I doubt also that there will be another coin that will stand against bitcoin since it is still considered as new and it may not look like good to have a lot of crypto competition. Bull run may never going to happen.

The moment a coin/currency/project comes up with a "real" economical use case that requires the coin to run it, Bitcoin will be in real danger of being number 1. We saw it 2017 with ETH: Not much was missing to de-throne BTC back then.
It can happen anytime again in the future, however, maybe it will never happen. This case would be the boring and sad answer, because it'll most likely mean that crypto as a whole did not evolve past its present use cases...

I also believe that. I am sure that bitcoin will still be the best, with various aspects available, bitcoin remains a major currency for cryptocurrency users. A good level of trust and a growing number of places that accept payments via Bitcoin can be a reference. Technology-wise, I think there were a lot of more advanced and innovative projects following the footsteps of Bitcoin. Bitcoin built the foundation and all. It has paved the way for the likes of Ethereum, Ripple, and the rest of the cryptocurrencies. But then the younger ones have developed more of what Bitcoin has started. Smart contracts, DApps, etc etc have been developed later on. No altcoin have pottential to make bitcoin flippening & Bitcoin will always be number one coin.

Bitcoin will forever exist but like the ones we are having before like barter or gold coins, there would come a time that it will be replaced. So what if they were in existence before the arrival of Bitcoin? Why should time of arrival matters and being centralized or decentralized not?   Centralized payment systems like paypal or ripple or any other centralized coin or token do not compete with Bitcoin.

For now BTC remain the king in the space and I won't be surpise to see its dominance increase this year, because many projects will fail and some will end up being a scam and as this happens the dominance of BTC will increase. Yes maybe you are correct for now while bitcoin is king. I am a believer of bitcoin but if people and investors will be solid for bitcoin and never leave it while under the bear market then bitcoin will stay forever in the top position and will not be taken by any other altcoin. However, because bitcoin's price has decrease more and bear market stays longer than usual, investors, newbies and those who plan to enter in the cryptocurrency market has second thought to fully support bitcoin and instead support other altcoins.

price and popularity issues I don't think anyone doubts bitcoin. so far the biggest market with strong capacity is held by bitcoin. although there are many altcoins that have large communities but I don't think they are as strong as bitcoin. trust problem, I think nobody doubts Bitcoin, because he will still be the number one coin in the crypto market.

As of now, still no other cryptocurrency come to the price and market capitalization of the leading coin in the market. If there is ever be a qualified contender or challenger to the throne of bitcoin, it will take a lot of years before the present king will be dethroned. I still believe to bitcoin but I believe too that they have altcoins that possoble to beat bitcoins number 1 and most of the altcoins who can do that is the ethereum because that coin is the most potential coin of all time and I believe it will increase like what bitcoin reached already.
