But surely they have a reason why just monero and no other coin.

I think that they wanted to do something related to crypto in their official store and maybe somebody heard that Monero is cool. Just a bit too late the company lawyers (or somebody else, I don't know) have found out about this and advised them to not put they image together with something that can be associated with illegal stuff.
