Can we post link for any article here to get any opinion from experienced members?

Slightly wrong section, this thread should probably be in "Meta" or "Beginners & Help" :)

Posting a link to an article is fine as long as you add a bit of context to it, eg. what aspect specifically you are wondering about. If you just throw in a link without any additional thoughts it comes off as rather spammy.

Just don't copy / paste articles or content without referencing the source, otherwise you'll get banned for plagiarism.

If you want to hear opinions, introduce the article here. Make a summary about it and explains what are your doubts and concerns.

I never click any link here that is just thrown around (basically asking for clicks)..

Is it a one-time bannable thingy?

Well it could also be appropriate here because the OP needs help. The post is just like a sort of asking a question regarding in posting article.

Anyway, I suggest OP to read the sticky threads above and see the unofficial list of rules and regulations.

Well, you can post link here for the article to support your claim of a certain post but if you wish to promote your article here by posting the links then it is not allowed.

Yes, a permaban is applied whenever plagiarism is caught in a user's contents. It's good to refer to the original source from where it was taken (or if it was from a user here, you should ask them and take their permission before posting their content).

@OP,
If article belongs to BTC or any news related to the same, you can post them in the "Press" board of the forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0

If the content is country-specific or based on a different language or country, you can check the languages on the main page and refer to the PR section of that board. Please remember that you should also write something in your own words before you put the content of that article, as well, please add the source.

You should be able to, but just don’t do what I often encounter, which is pasting the link and little else if anything at all. The better way to go is to summarize the content in your own words, and add a versed opinion or a set of questions that are unclear to you. The link will server as a reference for those who want to dig deeper into your source of information, but, in my opinion, it should not strictly be necessary to follow the link to get a grasp of the content (as it should be provided by you in your post).

Aside from that, be wary of copying and pasting the article into a post and just adding the reference. That is normally of little added value. Even worse: in this context, if you omit the link to the source, then likely you will be reported for plagiarism (and thus get you banned from the forum).

I guess it’s not your intent, but also make sure you are not intending to post a referral code, which is against the forum rules.

Just don't copy-paste some words from the article, put the link of original content and then ask "What do you think about this?"
That's a low quality post and I doubt any reputable member would respond to a thread like that.

You might want to read about forum rules in general and see how you should start a thread.

Yes. Pretty much impossible to get unbanned if you're offense is plagiarism. Check out the Meta section[1], then you'll see the desperate cries of the offenders asking for mercy.  :P

Sharing links would not get you banned from the forum, except the links contains malwares which would be harmful to those who visit the websites.
Newbies can also get nuked for spamming the forum with links from shady websites.

Plagiarism is copying contents and passing it off as your own creation, without crediting the source. This would get you a permanent ban.
