Since most users claim they're writing quality contributions but they aren't getting merited enough, I have taken my time to search through the forum (all board) for giveaways to quality contributions that must have been missed by post meriters.

That's great this will be a big help for us who needed some merits to get ranked up and I know there's always a qualifications for it, hoping I'm one of those good quality posting users.

Besides the threads you’ve mentioned, Merit Sources and regular forum members with available sMerits often browse around and merit any decent post they find. Specifically, Beginners & Help board is often visited by people willing to merit reasonably well constructed posts. Obtaining a couple of merits should deem a no-brainer with a bit of will and effort.

Obtaining a larger amount to keep ranking speed anywhere near a 1 merit per day average is rather complicated, and mid-to-high ranks really can do with merits jut as much as the lower ranked member.  For example, a Jr. Member that receives 1 sMerit gets 10% of the required amount to reach Member. A Hero that get that same 1 sMerit has obtained 0,2% of the required amount to scale to Legendary.

I really doubt that such merit giveaway threads are enough to enable one rank up, on such threads the poster only designates a little fraction of their Smerits and hardly do they give more than one per post to a particular user
With that being said before one ranks up you'll have to put in more effort than just commenting with links to your posts on such threads.
Learning more about the system,putting in time and effort into posts,spending more time on the forum
And most of all,enjoying sharing ideas in here and not just viewing the forum as a JOB

I don't usually provide links in my post and most of them are my own composition and understanding, I am not against on you but for me its my own way on how to express myself. I'm not pleading for merits but it would be an honor for me if someone will give and appreciate my posting style.

Yes there might be times a good post is sometimes not noticed some factors probably might have costed it but a the point is not making good post but becoming a good poster. Once you are a good poster you need not worry about your post being missed. I don't have any thing against merit contest but it and of makes users very desperate and this can lead to something not welcomed

Although this is meant for Filipinos, but the fact that I'm missing the hopes of giving them rewards I guess I can accept other people as well as long as its written on english.

I still have 4 sMerits left, and feel free to guide me on those Juniors and Newbies that needs help. I already did help 2 of my countryman ranked up, I watched their posts until then, and most of my sMerits were distributed across on different boards.

Another achievement for us OP. I just hope we find some good kiddos to be rewarded.

This will be a great chance for those who miss their chance to earn merit for their merit worthy unmerited post to be merited by the giveaway threads started by respected members in this forum. I'll try my best to look my own post if there is a unmerited merit worthy post to be rewarded (If there's any). I'll start checking the filipino local board if I am worthy to be rewarded if there's any chance that I could get one (I hope so). Wish you all best luck.

Wishing I could give a testimony how I get merited but what I want everyone to know that every time they create topic or reply just forget that it will be merited or not, just be on your own self but at least try to be constructive and helpful when you post.

You're welcome, yes it wouldn't last but in some way it helps too not just to rank up but to encourage good deeds in posting quality too. I discourage trolling but in a funny way? Bet it on.

I don't understand why this is in off-topic board.

Moved it here personally. It's a collection of all the active merit giveways and it won't make sense if it's on the board those giveways are active at. Also since the offtopic board are where merit related post are moved to I presume it's best, the thread is located here. Which board will you consider it appropriate to be in?

I don't visit off-topic board so I wasn't aware that merit giveaway threads are moved here. I see most of them on beginner's and help and another at reputation board. Rather than having a scattered list of merit giveaways on those boards, I think it's better for newbies to see this list at B&H.

I understand your school of thought but the issue is that, there isn't a need for a comprehensive list hosted on the same boards the visitors of those board can easily see the individual giveway threads. The list is meant to help non visitors of those board get alerted of active giveways threads they can profit (get merited) from.

What lead me to this post, is your post on bitcoin board ''the use of bitcoin in Africa''. If not that, I won't have seen the merit giveaway thread. It's very thoughtful of you to help the low rank members. Keep it up.

There is an open Holiday merits thread and I have personally benefitted from it, it's open for all ranks although you have to the post of others that has been made in 2019 but you have found to be awesome.
