Title: Need Help For Mining From CPU
Post by: PriyamShah on January 13, 2019, 07:17:42 AM
So my pc setup is a GTX 1070 and an  i7-7700. Since the downfall of many cryptocurrency in the past few months, I have started using nicehash autominer for my graphics card. Now the question is, my cpu lies at barely 5% use throughout the day. So are there any viable cryptocurrency that I can mine using my cpu???

That same NiceHash miner should be able to use your cpu as well. You probably can’t profitably mine much with it, but might be able to breakeven on around a dollar a day in BTC mining something.

It is possible to use XMRStack while mining Monero. It uses CPU and GPU and gives a good hash rate. Also, you may use XMRig as a miner for CPU.

I have not used Nicehash in a long time but I know you could add the cpu along with your gpu's when I was using it.  I remember comparing hash rates with cpu on and off and I do not think the difference was much though.  But if getting the max out is your goal turn it on.

Monero is the best option to mine with your Cpu. Nicehash latest miner software can make it to good use as I think they have added new miners, mostly for the Gpu-s though.

I have quit Nicehash in favor of Winminer but Winminer quit the mining businnes so I am back with Nicehash. You should use it too.
