Title: safedice.com scam and why you should avoid SAFEDICE.COM if you are a high roller
Post by: RichGang on January 15, 2019, 01:00:17 AM
I played on safedice.com severally and when ever I won above 0.2btc, they don't ever approve the withdrawal.
its not that the wallet is empty. they do this because they know u will be temted to play more and loose all in the long run.
this has happened to me more than 3 times in a row and i always ended up loosing my winnings and my capital.
before you say it is because hot wallet is empty, i will like to state here that on 2 occasions, i deposited into 2 different accounts. 0.5btc and 0.2btc respectively. i played on the accout that has 0.2btc and was able to win 0.25btc which made my total balance 0.45btc. i tried withdrawing and they came up with the usual scam message "something went wrong bla bla bla......". i then tried withdrawing the account that had 0.5btc and it went through instantly. i got my withdrawal in seconds. tried the account with my winnings and was unable to withdraw. and yes, i lost it as a result of that.
the trick here is, they disable your withdrawal for hours or days knowing that you are likely to play more , once you play, they scam you in the most annoying way.
i will like to warn guys that bet big to avoid tht site or you will get scammed when you win. they will never pay you your winnings.
so guys, if you know a site that pays you your winnings instantly, let me know.
AVOID SAFEDICE.COM.

THERE ARE SCAMMERS

I also don't agree with your statement that they delayed your withdraws so you get bored and keep gambling until you lose everything. If you followed their thread you would see that they are having issues with withdraws for the last year most likely due to the fact that the admin is in prison.

It doesn't matter if you are a high roller or not. When the hot wallet was empty, depending on when you made the withdraw it would get halted for weeks/months. The withdraw that you got successfully was probably right when their hot wallet was refilled and you just got lucky.

But in the future you should of just visited that thread and you would know that if you want reliable withdraws then you shouldn't use that website.

If the admin is in prison, why is it the site is still running? I'm guessing the case is not related to the gambling site, otherwise site is already close.
Running a gambling site does not need to be a one ma show, you are the admin but you trust  some people to help you, and it's normal in a business to have a contingency plan so in case of possible business disruption, business can still continue to operate.

That also the question on my mind too why its still running. Admin/Owner is on prison isnt a valid alibi or reason for withdrawals to be halted. Its still online and as said this isnt a one man show where
there would really be staffs would able to make this site running without provision. Also, this thread should be on scam accusations but OP need to post up some proofs regarding into this claim
because if you do spoke verbally it wont really be a valid one.

I believe the owner has another dice site and he is more focus on the new site, we wouldn't know right, but that's the thing that came in my mind too. The site is still working and there are gamblers dicing their but you can tell the bets have significantly lowered, until there is a valid source or proof of what really happened, everything is just rumors here.

If everything is automated, the website might work forever as long as there are players/investors. At some point people will need human assistance though and that's when people are going to wake up and leave. Owner of the SafeDice account (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=396610) hasn't become online since March 25 2018 and that's one of the reasons why people believe he is in jail. If he wants to keep his business alive all he has to do is come online and say "hello"

The website itself could work forever but there are issues with the daemon wallets which crash and need to be restarted from time to time and updated.

Its possible to run it ,especially with a hot wallet (very hackable) and just forget about it. But from time to time the Bitcoin CLI, the BCH daemon and Monero would need to be restarted. Bitcoin is actually the most stable out of the bunch.

The issue last year was that there was forks in both Monero and Bitcoin Cash which needed a new software update so it synced to the correct chain, and the admin (or admin assistant) just took those wallets offline.

Not only saying "hello" but talking about on what happened to him since his account isnt active anymore then it can really give presumptions. Why this thread hasnt moved yet btw?

From the looks of it they are not really "scam" like the ones we know. I mean normally what we call scam is when someone steals your money and run away with it, since they pay you they are not really a "scam" but in reality they are keeping your money at their account longer than they are allowed and not pay you on time which is as bad as scam and I know in personal experience because I had the same issue before and because we are in bitcoin world its sometimes very scary and you think you get scammed and you will not see your money again.

If their owner is in jail or they have any problem that prohibits them from paying quickly than they should close their shop right away, there is no point on keeping a dice website open if they are failing to pay people their money back.

Better them to close and not give people what they expect for upon using their platform. For the users, they should check first the background of that site if it is reliable or not, before plunging in. The feeling of not getting your money is really bad. And yeah, it feels that someone is scamming you.

Please kindly do some more reading related to the discussed site before comment. It is clear that you do not even know what is happening in Safedice since last year. At least check their ANN thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=868275.0) or do a quick check on the official representative's profile (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=396610) of SafeDice.
Please do check the link and will you still suggest OP to ask support?

They are one of the oldest in the crypto gambling room, issues arise quite often and it will be sort at certain time interval. At times this gets delayed, and for the same it isn't good to term it a scam. Also they won't degrade themselves from the hard earned reputation. This is found with every gambling website, as in the above quote you can try the possible ways to get it resolved.

Scam is a "heavy word" as posted in the main post. Situation of the casino is unknown (nor we can call it a scam entirely) since there is no whereabouts of their owner nor they have been active since long time here to address the issues that have piled up while they were inactive. Regarding support, I haven't seen anyone representing them from support.

I have already placed a feedback to warn the community about their inactivity. They might be running with some issues but I seriously wouldn't recommend anyone to deposit or play in the site until the situation resolves.

About that, if the site doesn't want you to withdraw 0.2 btc but they will approve withdrawing btc in much smaller portion of btc from 0.001 btc up to 0.09 as long as the amount of btc won't reach 0.1 btc or higher then then the site's objective is only to earn more than the amount of btc they earn from gamblers who lose btc and they can only withdraw 0.009 btc or less then the site's goal or objective can be considered as scam because of the amount of btc that the gamblers can withdraw which 0.009 btc or lower. In short, they will scam your btc and force you to play more and take your btc bits by bits until all are gone.

The website is still operating, because people keep on gambling there despite all the issues and accusations. It is the same when people cry about bad government and they keep voting for them over and over.
