I'm a software engineer with decades of experience in many fields. That said I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed on this forum and am looking for some basic help.
In reading the "New to Bitcoin, Start Here!" sticky I clicked on the link for the question "How can I store bitcoins securely?" and wasn't able to find the actual 14 steps of the post's title, only the comments about it. Why is that? I went to the first and last pages but no luck. What am I missing, why is that so confusing? Did Vladimir create a "red herring" title to frustrate newbies like me? I heard a podcast regarding cold storage and that leads me to believe it's not a trivial topic to digest.
It's kindof funny really, the mix of info saying bitcoin "is easy" vs. "it's a deep topic". But then nothing unusual about that, typical of popular topics on the net these days. It does therefore warrant caution, and to give myself plenty of time to discern and absorb the correct info from the fire hose stream. |
