Title: Do Huawei Phones pose a risk to BTC User's Privacy & Security?

Huawei has had a lot of bad publicity in the press for its security and privacy issues, ties to Chinese government, etc. The article is one of the better ones that sums up some of those issues. It's not their phones that's been scrutinized, but their company privacy and operations. In fact their products have had some of the best ratings because of quality and price.

What do you guys think? A simple google of 'Huawei bans' can provide more info.

Huawei phones are obviously not secure.  the company is not subject to rule of law (there is no real rule of law in China outside of party decree). At least the other major western brands are spying on you at least putatively “lawfully”. And are subject to rule of law by democratic governments

If this is true i guess i need to refrain myself from using my phone now, though i find this not enough reason to doubt the capacity of huawei interns of security but still prevention is better than cure

Thanks for this mate, maybe i will just use the phone for gaming some features that need no high security

I don't believe any phone is a secure place to store crypto. I'd rather keep it on my hardware wallet.

If you're communicating on Huawei phones, would use a confidential communication app as opposed to the default SMS app due to privacy concerns. Telegram, Sylo, Signal, WhatsApp(?) are good options.
