Title: Religion and politics divide people yet bitcoin unites them
Post by: cybersofts on January 18, 2019, 02:41:38 PM
Bitcoin = Love
People all over the world are flocking into bitcoin regardless of their race, culture, and believes.
Bitcoin is for everyone no matter where you are around the world, no matter the race or skin color.
In fact, the bitcoin is more transparent than any government or company yet more decentralized than both.
Is bitcoin going to be the biggest economy in the future?

I agree with you that bitcoin is not worthy of being blamed with religion or politics and that it is of no use at all the most important thing is that bitcoin does not harm religion and other politics that is enough

As much as we'd want to, while bitcoin is decentralized, transparent, and other advantageous stuff, this doesn't automatically mean bitcoin will globally adopted. There's a lot of things like laws and regulations to take note of. Remember, even if just a few governments from big powerhouse countries conducts a law that makes the owning of bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general illegal(though I hope not, and I think it's quite unlikely), that alone will significantly affect global adoption in a negative manner. While people can definitely still own and use bitcoin even when it's banned, I'm pretty sure people are going to be scared to own them. Not saying bitcoin will sort of "die" though; my point is just that there are a lot of things that could be hurdles for bitcoin to reach mass adoption.

I do not agree with the title of this thread, we cannot blame religion and politics, but the people around him who make a split, and that is all the financial factors they are looking for, of course in bitcoin they are certainly competing to get it not to unite but accuse each other ...

Is bitcoin going to be the biggest economy in the future?

If we treat it like money, it won't be. How can money become an economy on its own? Bitcoin can build an industry around it with miners supporting it, merchants selling and buying products, people ready to receive wages in Bitcoin, but to become the biggest you'd have to top all other industries like medicine, cybernetics, food production and so on. I don't believe that's possible. There are more essential things in our lives than mediums of exchange  and stores of value.

Bitcoin has no racial or religious sentiments. I wouldn't equate bitcoin as love, it's just an asset and a means of exchange and personal affiliations do not matter.
It is borderless and as such it could be a global currency accepted by all.

I agree because in past couple years no matter the religion or nationality bitcoin has able to unite people from every corner in the planet to make profits and join its successful future  to change the entire financial sector with proper transactions and other processes so yes bitcoin doesn't care which religion the person is in or which nationality if he or she seek revolutionary change in the financial world and to make profits it can become a great helping hand

I'd say that while the concept of Bitcoin certainly unites people, there are definitely some very divisive politics involved when it comes to the implementation.   :D

But provided most people still believe in the underlying principles of freedom, transparency, decentralisation and open-source, then yes, there should be enough unity for Bitcoin to thrive.

Bitcoin is for everyone no matter where you are around the world, no matter the race or skin color.

So are gold, food, water, air, cars, mobile phones, dogs, cats...you name it.

But for the other statement:
Quote
Bitcoin = Love
You're dreaming.

Bitcoin doesn't mean love, and it won't mean love as long as it has any sorts of value.
People like bitcoin because of it's value, people will rob, hack, stole and even kill for value.
Stop trying to paint human feelings on a line of 0 and 1.

I'd say that while the concept of Bitcoin certainly unites people, there are definitely some very divisive politics involved when it comes to the implementation.   :D

Yeah, so much love came out from Bcash and BSV the OP has trouble finding buckets to fill them up.

This is entirely true, and perhaps it's the main reason why we have forks in the first place. Using bitcoin, and the concept of it certainly unites people in a way, but other people still believes that their version of bitcoin is somewhat more superior than the other, resulting into clashes of ideas and politics. I guess this will never be removed from Man as long as he lives, for this is embedded within his psyche, no matter how uniting an idea may be.

The jury's out on that. The chances are definitely higher than 5 or 10 years ago, but we've got a long way to go before achieving mass adoption, a global unit of account and/or reserve currency, a self-sufficient economy.

Bitcoin is still a relatively small niche and it's still fairly experimental. The prospects are good, but we should keep our expectations in check.

I also think like you. indeed the forum discussed good things. but most governments have not seen the truth, so it's better to be patient first. chances are the government will see the good that has happened in the forum. even though sometimes that makes the problem one or two people, but this forum is always thorough.

Bitcoin is for sure making good waves all over the world and has been able to penetrate many divides and differences...and that is something really worth celebrating with. Though right now, Bitcoin is experiencing some dip levels I am still sure that the future is looking good for this pioneering and industry-symbol cryptocurrency. Of course, since we are dealing with the real marketplace with great diversity all over the world, the road to triumph is always marked by challenges and difficulties but those are the same things that make Bitcoin special and worthy of its value. I am not sure what you mean by becoming the biggest economy in the future...because I understand that Bitcoin will never be a stand-alone world of its own but must be merging with the local, national and global economies to make its full potential as medium of exchange people all over the world can be utilizing.

It's not correct to compare Bitcoin with religion or politics. Bitcoin is software, and people participate in Bitcoin community to discuss it. Bitcoin is not the way of life, it's not an ideology, so with the same logic you can say that movies unite people, because everyone watches them, or music, or social media.

The one significant detail is that Bitcoin is the first payment system without borders, so it can indeed unity people around the world, but there are a few problems with that - Bitcoin's adoption remains very low for this effect to be noticable, when compared with forces like religion or politics, and second, a huge number of active users come from countries that already have relatively open borders.

Bitcoin is a kind of tool that is able to unite people to continue working and have a broad view of technology and the future. This provides many benefits and insights so it is not for politics or religion, all those who plunge on the basis of trust and trust to find new transactions that are more global than fiat that is commonly used in daily needs in one country and if entering other countries must adjust

Nice statement :)
In fact, all people need or wants money, wants wealth and financial stability.
It's the same for anyone on this planet.
But, in order that bitcoin enter mainstream we will need legal recognition and acceptance.
Not sure if something like this can happen since politicians are dominated by people from finance, banks etc. and they don't have interest to see success of bitcoin.
In my opinion, bitcoin will remain great alternative.

I definitely agree with you. There is no specific religion , gender , culture and etc. in bitcoin as long as you want to invest then you can! unless it is banned in your country but I never feel hopeless about this because nothing is impossible. People can earn huge profit whether you are rich or a simple person but I feel discombobulated with that love.

I don't think so. The essence of Bitcoin or any store of value, is interests. Most people pay attention to Bitcoin because they want to make a quick buck, as for its ture value and meaning, they don't care. Once devide of interests happening, there will be mess only but not love.

This could be an interesting approach. Bitcoin is indeed available for almore everyone around the world. However, if we only think about is as something to disrupt economy, that's not enough. People can be neutral towards money. If we emphasize the ideas of freedom, innovation, possibilities, community and decentralization - a new ideology that unites elements of both liberalism and somewhat traditionalist approaches. Not everyone will adopt it, of course, but this could be the next step towards peace and respect of human beings towards each other in the world.

People can invest in bitcoin no matter what life status are you in , bitcoin is getting accepted by different countries and in that countries there are differences in culture and belief but they can use bitcoin to earn profit. It doesn't matter if you are willing to take risk just to earn huge profit then you can invest. It is possible that bitcoin can be the biggest economy , since its getting known by everyone and it makes them interested.  its bitcoin purpose so we are free to take the opportunity in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is transparent because it is decentralized in nature. There is no central authority that controls bitcoin. Governments are shady and corrupted by nature because of its centralized structure where a single entity controls the entire game. Your argument is itself invalid. What is the bottomline you are trying to establish?

In fact, the is a thing called Bitcoin Neutrality[1] it means Bitcoin could be adopted widely spread in the world because it doesn't correlate to any political or economic system and specifically any culture, language, and geography. It is a neutral currency that isnt strictly related to anything, it just a standard currency that seeks user expectations and desires

Bitcoin is a revolutionary in the financial system in the world. With its many advantages, Bitcoin can make the existing financial system much safer and more flexible. Now many people have started to use Bitcoin, this is also because of the demands of the era, namely when technology is increasing, it must be balanced with better financial technology. Are you sure that Bitcoin is for everyone? ??? How about those people that are living in a third world country and most of those people are not literate in terms of new technological innovation in our society and do not have the means to buy a smartphone or laptop, are they able to use Bitcoin or other forms of Crypto currency? ??? How about the poorest of the poor and people that do not have the chance to educate themselves are they eligible to use Bitcoin or other Crypto currencies? ??? Let's be honest in here, Bitcoin is not for everyone in this world just like what you think because there are clear barriers that separating this technology from different kinds of people based on their intellect and status in life and this is the reality, don't live with the imagination that this technology is for everyone and anyone can use it without any knowledge about it. :)

actually a lot of the people in third world countries have computers and smart phones. it is not the latest or strongest versions. for example they don't have a core i7 with an expensive GPU or the latest iPhone release but they still have a PC and a smart phone that is cheaper but still does the same thing for them.
in fact a lot of them even have bitcoin in their wallets! they show the most interest in bitcoin compared to others at times. look at India and Venezuela and some African countries for example.

I voted YES from the poll. I will give an example. Just from our country, we do not know each other but if there will be an opportunity for us to join for a campaign or invest to a legitimate ICO or crypto-related sites, then we are united as one. We usually chat about the updates from our individual investment from a crypto site. We also update each other if we find a new ICO to join with.

The potential to become the biggest economy of the world is there, but sadly, nobody will ask us. We don't have a right to vote. Maybe in some world tumbling on large scale and breaking current monetary, government systems in some sort of revolution, we will see those changes that we all here are expecting to see. And power don't like transparency. With it they can not hustle.

Religions teach unity and peace, but the politicians use the religious factor an way to create a division among the people and control over them. This is common throughout the world, right now politicians doesn't have much knowledge about the same as most of the political people in third world countries were uneducated.

If these politicians have known about bitcoin surely they would have given legal support within the state, all that required is some fund to be allocated for them. Corruption will get us everything.

What about some religious countries who have not associated their citizens with bitcoin ??? For those too, they have decided not to allow bitcoin to bring unity for them and coubtries whod hold same believe with them. Therefore, bitcoin does not .

Bitcoin is addictive and has no borders. It is embraced by all regardless of race, gender, and religion. The only group that will hate it is the bankers but have own coins anyway
Yeah there is no limit to use bitcoin as in all field of life we use to see people always so things according to their own interest but bitcoin is a thing which move according to our own will, so bitcoin is equally good for all kind of people even if they are rich they use to save it, those who are poor they use to earn with it and those who are medium in status are enjoying shopping and traveling with bitcoin so it is for everyone without any discrimination.

Well, I.wouldn't be so full of ideals. Yes, Bitcoin maybe could unite people but not like itself but more because of the profit that enables. Money was always more powerful than politics and religion and Bitcoin could be put in that category. Unfortunately, there are less and less users that actually beleive in Bitcoin as a way of living and new view to the world, profit is the thing that connects Bitcoin users.

I'm not sure about that survey question, if I'd consider Bitcoin an "economy". It's just simply money.

Money in a sense is universal, anyone can use it. It's hardly about connecting people though. Even in the Bitcoin community, there are splits on what direction should the crypto be taken.

I believe that Bitcoin will be one of the largest alternatives to fiat currencies among all altcoins, but it's unlikely that it might completely replace them, except their electronic equivalent that may appear soon

People all over the world are flocking into bitcoin regardless of their race, culture, and believes.
When it comes to finance and investment you will see many people from around the globe who have different ideas and believes.

Quote
In fact, the bitcoin is more transparent than any government or company yet more decentralized than both.
Is bitcoin going to be the biggest economy in the future?
Governments are not transparent and they like to control everything and bitcoin does the opposite and so is the reason some countries are against decentralized financial structures which gives people freedom of transaction and trade, bitcoin might not be the biggest economy in the future but it will be used for international trade and commerce.

Money in a sense is universal, anyone can use it. It's hardly about connecting people though. Even in the Bitcoin community, there are splits on what direction should the crypto be taken.
The word money might be universal but the currencies cannot be used globally in trade and commerce unless you need to convert them into their local currency to get the deal done, bitcoin will change those concepts.

Bitcoin united people because it occupies worldwide medium of exchange. You dont need to exchange your money to dollars or any other local currency. You can send money directly to the person you want anytime, anywhere. But its funny how you identify peoples characteristics. The country is just its bounderies, not the race, skin color etc.

I don’t think it’s only bitcoin that unites people, anything that has to do with money unites people and since bitcoin involves money, it will definitely do just like forex trading too, you won’t because of your tribe, politics or religion not transact with me when it comes to foreign exchange that will be of benefits to you, when it comes to religion, we have lots of people out there that are hypocrite and lack understanding.

When it comes to politics and religious organizations, they  are  quite keen on emphasizing the differences between themselves and their opponents while the only differences found in the crypto market is the market in itself, you either buy or sell both you have to believe in.

Bitcoin is actually for everyone since it’s an open market not being controlled and a decentralized market for that matter, the problem with the people you mentioned is civilization; this is where civilization and technology should play their role.

Bitcoin is virtually everywhere today, just that few people understands it and takes advantage of it, just like the issue of internet, for the fact that internet has not gotten to those uncivilized nations or region does not mean that the web is not readily available for everyone to use.

Block chain technology has existed for a long time. Bitcoin came later. Block chain is one of the technologies.

Digital money is different from Bitcoin in nature. Digital money is central, its quantity is uncontrolled and there is no upper limit.

Generally speaking, Bitcoins are a protest against the existence of a central currency. There will be no central bank in the future, no current currency, only Bitcoin-like currency.

As for the derivative path, we can't see it now. It's hard to say in the future, but Bitcoin won't disappear.

Thanks for being very optimistic about Bitcoin. I believe that Bitcoin can be contributing a lot for the society especially in the world of finance and yes this can be doing some good impact for the global economy. However, just like any man-made invention we should not fully rely on only one thing or aspect because the world's problems are so complex and the global economy is not that easy to decipher. In the face of human nature shortcomings, Bitcoin can fall into something which we should be avoided in the first place. Bitcoin still has to surmount the challenge of massive adoption and this is not going to be easy as there can never be a law that can dictate people on what to do and where to go. Certainly, we can never force people to adopt Bitcoin if they don't want to...all of these things here are just voluntary in nature. The speculative fever in 2017 that catapulted Bitcoin into the news and into the consciousness of the many was motivated primarily by "greed" or the possible profits that they (or should I say we) can get and this in itself can be a strength or weakness at the same time. Certainly, it can still be a long, long way before Bitcoin can be a big big force for the global economy and there will always be bumps, humps and challenges along the way.

Well fiat in a way has done that though only in the transactional aspect. Uniting people really is a very broad term that can mean a lot of things. If you're talking about the same unification in transactional use like fiat, i think bitcoin has a good chance of doing such. Other than that, i doubt it.

when the BTC is adopted by the world, the volume and spread of BTC is well developed, fast, and stable, enthusiastic about the world industry and public enthusiasm is very high towards BTC, so BTC will control the world economy.

but, there are many problems to achieve that goal. BTC must survive from the FUD attack, and from every negative factor that threatens market stability.

I believe crypto adoptions have no connection with religion, it may happens into politics as it have a huge influence with the market stability which we are acquiring support from country leaders. Of course, we can't depend and purely asking their help since we still can move without them but the fact that they could possibly stop us through force banning that is why we should need  their usual support.

This is all about country leaders participation's and not for the religious leaders.

I have merited the post because I think there is at least a little bit of truth in the OP's statement.

This forum is a good example, there are lots of people from different countries and regions, with different religions, all sharing a common interest. The difference to things like music - which also unites people in some way, as you can see in worldwide fan groups - is that money is a more "generic" interest, a basic need of everyone, and so the potential of adoption is higher. Even if "adoption" today means basically "try to get rich quick" ;) And hate is reduced when people know about other persons which share their interests, even if they live at the other extreme of the world.

Bitcoin is even more powerful in this case as social networks like Facebook or Twitter - these tend often to form localized or very ideology-centred communities. Money - like Bitcoin - is more "neutral" and thus has more potential to unite.

But let's not get naive, Bitcoin will not save the world, it can only improve it a little bit. And disputes between altcoin tribes, maximalists and minimalists, big-blockers and small-blockers are in some ways pretty similar to religious conflicts ;)

I don't know which religion or racism you're pointing us towards, but yes, Governments are definitely trying to pull us out of crypto at any cost becah they're watching all of us actually getting united at one point where they're failing from driving us away and where they want us to go. I believe it's for the good of human being that Lord Satoshi has given us all a boon in the form of Bitcoins which has broken all the boundaries and made everyone come at one platform as well as deal with each other without too much hassle about fees and commissions as well as taxes we need to pay for each outbound (out of country) transactions.

I don't really think Bitcoin unites people like food does. Bitcoin we all know is the digital form of money but due to its market value and its ability to change in value, people invest in it with the aim of making profit. If Bitcoin unites people than i can also say physical fiat or money also unites people. Bitcoin gives people financial freedom but I don't think it unites people...

And this bitcoin does not need to be used to make certain religion or politics. Bitcoin is open to anyone here, no particular nation, religion, it does not need it later. Religion and politics are based on different things all together and since the whole world cannot have a common reason to anything, there will be that form of division and in fact, that division in politics is necessary. Bitcoin is driven by a common goal and so whoever come into it shares a common purpose: a rise in btc and more profit. So definitely there wouldn't be any form of division in btc.

THis is why governments shit themselves and want to tax everything we do but one day tax will have to come in another way or socialty as a whole would have to work differently. Maybe our socialty becomes decentralzied and we no longer have a government but a self government blockchain where we all are part of the police system? The human blockchain.... Interesting....

Bitcoin = Love

Yes I believe so, it is true that a lot of people are flocking into bitcoin from different countries with different perspective in life thus prove that bitcoin is not only a currency with high value but also something that bring all the people together as one no matter the religion, culture there maybe. Religion and politics are separate from one another due to the fact that they always have something that they can't agree on but good thing there's bitcoin to help people be united in some point.

I think yes, bitcoin is talked about a lot by religion and politics at this time and that bitcoin is being discriminated against in time and I don't agree if bitcoin is disputed with religion or politics
I agree with you that bitcoin is not worthy of being blamed with religion or politics and that it is of no use at all the most important thing is that bitcoin does not harm religion and other politics that is enough

Agree... Bitcoin is a tool to help people share each other's ideas regarding bitcoins.. Despite of religions and politics... Everyone got a same thoughts in regards of bitcoin that helps them in everyday needs...

bitcoin is a thing that unites many parties, because in bitcoin there is a value that maybe someone can trade information about bitcoin prices, bitcoin movements, the future of bitcoin and others. this might be used as one of the positive effects of bitcoin

But i think the only enemy is government they are against in bitcoin because they dont get any tax here so they prefer to manipulate it without knowing at all,and they considered it as scam scheme.

This is mostly true but not fully.
World people use bitcoin, here different country, religion, politics people work with each other and exchange their coin any purpose. This means Bitcoin unties people
But Bitcoin is a currency,  the crime in the whole world like robbing,  killing, scamming everything is standing on currency. Sometimes users of bitcoin lost their coin for Scammers. it makes discrimination to each other.
