Title: Is there a future for.cryptocurrency with ETF?
Post by: jademaxxiss012 on January 20, 2019, 01:49:21 PM
We all like to see a bull run for crypto market but neither I saw any thing being done to promote for it. Even in the discussions with the replies im threads cryptocurrency is in bad image where many being victim of hack, scam and from.fraud users. But this type.of activity could not be stopped. Now, we are expecting ETF to be passed and regulate and stop this activity. However, there is.no assurance that cryptocurrency will be regulated for we do not know the future. Is there a future for cryptocurrency?

ETF and regulations have nothing to do with preventing hacks. Regulations may or may not help prevent scam, but people will always be attempting that sort of activity. You can also find a lot of scam and hacks in the traditional domain of fiat money. Hacks and scam is nothing special to crypto currencies. Regulations may help improve the condition somewhat, but the real future for crypto will come with more and more adoption and maturing of the technology. It takes time for that to happen, but it will eventually.

It will not easy to leave from this bearish market. It needs a lot of time or a few years to recover the fundamental of crypto. Any insurance in our real life will always be related to the government and central bank as the main party that can help it, but we can build our insurance for that. It's easy to do that.

Look around more. There are more and more businesses accepting Bitcoin.
There are more and more nodes in the Lightning Network, although it's still experimental.
More and more names discuss about Bitcoin (yeah, some are against it too).

Even in the discussions with the replies im threads cryptocurrency is in bad image where many being victim of hack, scam and from.fraud users. But this type.of activity could not be stopped. Now, we are expecting ETF to be passed and regulate and stop this activity.

Regulation will not stop hacks.
Proper handling and (cold) storage of Bitcoin (and altcoins) will prevent hacks.
Regulation could, on the other hand, increase the integration of financial services (banks, stocks, whatever) with Bitcoin and could limit the scam ICOs (leaving room for the honest projects).
Ah, and ETF is not regulation. It's just allowing some more institutions speculate on Bitcoin price. Also there are 2 types of ETFs and one type doesn't really help Bitcoin (https://www.moneyshow.com/articles/tebiwkly08-50671/bitcoin-etfs--cash-backed-vs-physical-how-will-they-impact-the-market/)...

However, there is.no assurance that cryptocurrency will be regulated for we do not know the future.

Time will tell. I think that sooner or later, crypto will get regulated.

Is there a future for cryptocurrency?

Yes, clearly. Just "a future" doesn't mean ATH every day.

there must be, every innovation that exists and a development option definitely has a good future. etf is a concept where crypto can be run like any other investment, ie there is a loan for beginners who enter.

I think that ETF will not affect the number of hacker attacks . Everything created by man can break another man and always will be. I certainly really want to cryptocurrency was more secure for the user but as in traditional business, no one is immune from loss. I think that the market will develop steadily even if the ETF is rejected.

I really have a slightly different mindset than everyone. Currently the value of BTC is $ 3k5, if the ETF appears, it means that whales will not be able to pump up the price of the BTC. BTC will grow slowly and we will have no benefit for it.
I think we should not let the SEC or ETF join the crypto market. let it be natural and true to "decentralized" meaning

With ETF or without ETF bitcoin and some altcoins, of course, will be an investment tool and probably the investors will earn more than 100 X profit in 10 years. The confirmation of ETF just will accelerate the timing.

The fact that we do not know the future is normal, but the fact that the cryptocurrency will someday be regulated is obvious!

Many have lost faith in cryptocurrencies largely due to fraudulent projects. But soon there should be new regulatory laws that minimize investment risks.

This guy: Brian Kelly said that no Bitcoin ETFs will be accepted in 2019. So the question is if ever ETFs will be approved and if we really need ETFs to bullrun?
