I need a little help from my bitcoin friends!

Should bitcoin be treated as a currency or as an investment asset? And what could contribute to a wider usage of bitcoin as a currency?
These are questions I would like to answer in my master thesis.

Bitcoin should always be considered as a currency, not an investment platform. I liked the second question from the survey and it was very helpful for me to identify bitcoin better. Good luck with your research mate.

Bitcoin should definitely be treated as a currency but the reality right now is that most people use it as an investment. Thats happening because bitcoin is promoted as an investment. When you hear someone talking about bitcoin, they talk about how much profit can you make and how to invest better with bitcoin.

I was going to participate in the survey and then I realised that OP posted about it on 22 January and last time he was active was 1^st Feb
Not sure whether my participation is still required or OP already got the results he needed.
If only he had left the date the survey would be closed.

But for me, I think that investment is right for bitcoin but a currency shouldn't fluctuate as bitcoin does. People use it as investment and I think that is what it is.

Completed the survey and it took less than 5 minutes for me. The last part of the survey asking whether we trusted our bank, government etc was the most interesting part.

Bitcoin is a currency in my opinion and not an investment asset.
