Title: poker and sport bet challenge. weekly profit share!!!
Post by: QuadsPoker on January 22, 2019, 08:31:43 PM
I always love to challenge myself. At this moment I am doing a 100$ trading challenge in the trading section. But as I love to gamble as well I want to start a small gambling challenge as well.

What am I going to do?

I am going to skip casino games for now. As a start I am going to focus on poker and sport betting. As I like challenges with a small starting balance I am going to do this here as well. I reserved a balance of 0.02BTC (70$ at this moment)

  • 0.01BTC i have transferred to my betting balance
  • The other 0.01BTC I have converted to fiat and will be deposited in my pokerstars account.
[/b]

Why pokerstars? Simply there is not a decent crypto poker room I love to play. And I have been playing on pokerstars for many years so I know the games and I love the offer.

My goal is just to have fun and try to build a decent bankroll with only 0.02BTC starting balance.

I am going to post my bets and my poker games every time I played a game or placed a bet.

Balances

Lets see what it gets. As a matter of fun and attract some followers and support I am going to share 10% of my PROFITS every week if profits are made of course.  How im going to share. Simply. If profits are made I just will randomly pick a a username that made a comment in my thread between the beginning and the end of the week. I am not going to post this in games and rounds cause the profit share is something additional. The main thing is to keep a gambling journal here.

ps: Regarding the poker. I am not a cash game player. I rather like to play tournaments and multi table SNGs

Goodluck on your target.

Quiet difficult to make a decent earnings (well depend on how much is that "decent") out from BTC0.01 in sports betting. It's possible but it will take time unless you can hit some risky odds or good parlays.

Goodluck on poker too. A fight between strategy vs strategy.

Aside from posting results, you can also give some details how you made that as part of reference by the others.

Again goodluck.

update 1

We started with a 10mBTC balance on Sportsbet.io. Made 2 bets yesterday. Unfortunately 1 of them was incorrect. So at this moment our balance is 9.47mBTC

https://i.imgur.com/oHsXmdd.png

With our poker journey we took a good start. Wasn't able to play tournaments yesterday cause it was too late. So I decided to play some heads up games and a couple multi table SNGs. We managed to grow our our 31$ starting balance to 70.50$ balance

As I see you prefer playing in NL Hold'em Tournaments, and since they are my favorites too, I'm going to keep an eye on this thread in the future.

I've never played on PokerStars myself, but of course I know that it's one best poker sites in the world. I read that you can deposit Bitcoin through Neteller on PokerStars, so maybe I should try it some time.

Btw, do they have tournaments where the buy-in is just $1 but you can potentially win hundreds of USD because over 1,000 players participating? I like those ones.

I sincerely wish you good luck with your goals! Have fun and build a decent bankroll! All the best!

In your first update you showed your bets were 3 matches and then 2 matches.
Multiple games on the same bet are harder and noticed you did single matches instead.
This methods better to do when you are first starting out until you begin to get a winning streak going.
I dont know about the league you bet on so all I can say is good luck! :)

Yes of course. Pokerstars has the largest offer of tournaments. They offer multiple tournaments daily with 1-2$ buyins with a prizepool where winner takes 500-600-700$

And the knock-out or progressive knock-out tournaments are my favourite. In This games you can earn money for busting opponents. So you can win and profit even if you do not reach in the money

The highest probability to make money in this chhallenge I think is in Pokerstars because you rely on 3/4 skill there and 1/4 luck.

I don't think you or anyone else will be successful in sport betting as long as referees do impact the games and that is a fact in today soccer world.

Yeah I know with poker you still have the outcome a little in your own hands. Though I think that in sport betting money can be made as well. I am using software to track arbitrage and valuebets but thats only on fiat bookies. By betting on arbs and valuebets I managed to make some nice profits. By using this strategies you can also exclude a little bit the luck factor

Wow! Another crypto adapter was born :). I hope you will have a happy and prosperous gambling journey (Well, I can see that you are doing well, congrats). I just hope you will not encounter withdrawal issues in sportsbet because I've read few complaints regarding this issue but I guess those are only isolated cases so don't worry.
Lets see what it gets. As a matter of fun and attract some followers and support I am going to share 10% of my PROFITS every week if profits are made of course.
Actually, this is not necessary at all but since you wanted to do this then I deeply appreciate it (For sure that others too). You're so kind, I hope you win more often in order to offer more help to the needy ones. God bless and good luck :).

Never had any issues with withdrawals. also I do not mind to run through verification so I did. And since I got verified I receive all my withdrawals almost instantly. Longest wait was 20 minutes before it got processed. So no problems or issues at all.

I always fear for people when they publicly start these chaplenges, they usually always end in failure & then the OP’s credibility is damaged if he tries to do something similar again.

Good luck OP, I hope you do it  :-\

Update 2

2 bets placed for this afternoon. Coppa primavera Italia (U19)

https://i.imgur.com/RP2UCHI.png
So how are your bets going for the challenge?
I played it safe today with alot of championship cup games going on.
Over on corners for Barcelona FC and Paris St.Germain today with Manchester city getting over 2.5 goals in their matchup.
And did a little bet on a coup de france match during live betting. Maybe it might be better to do these to build up your bankroll.

I think this one is different and the OP looks serious on this. Well, the challenge is good for you to work harder and yeah we hope for the success of the OP since its too risky to gamble and I know this is not an easy bet, you can do it and i will visit this thread again to have some update for the result of this challenge.

Update 2

Gonna do Some proper updates tomorrow. Have been a hectic day and i placed different bets. In differen accounts. And rest of the evening i am doing Some poker games
I have seen this thread yesterday I am impressed that you have daily updates, Cryptocurrency or fiat, it is still a betting game. I do understand your enthusiasm with betting games but I know as well that you are ready to get disappointed since betting game is always the worst thing as you win and lose based on luck and strategy to tilt your competition and yes, the guts but the greed is the number one enemy.

As far as I can remember, in poker, there is an average ratio of 1:5 where people win once and lose 4 times.
Well, it's all up to you mate and good luck with your betting career! 8)

Summary after 2 days.

Starting balance 0.02BTC -> 0.01BTC sport betting
                                     -> 0.01BTC (31$) pokerstars

Current balances: sport betting  0.01244BTC                        +24.4%
                           poker            0.02838BTC (100.88$)         +183.8%

Total balance:  0.04082BTC

In some way and with the help of the poker gods I managed to double my total bankroll in 2 days. I know this isn't a regular result. Downswings can occur at any time. But well a 100$ poker balance gives some more room to play than a 30$ bankroll  ;D ;D

Congrats, mate! Those are great achievements! I'm not that experienced in sports betting, but poker is my love, and I know how it feels taking, say, the 5th place in a tournament with hundreds of other players. That's rare but it happens, and it feels so good. Btw, the 1st place with 24 participants is not that bad too. :) Grats again, keep it up!

0.01 BTC is not a small balance,,, but at least you have set these targets as your maximum loss for experiment. You bet quite big for sports though, odds are lower than x2 payout, so it is a risky gain, because a loss can wipe out all of those. Double in 2 days is of course possible for 50% of people who try this right? Good luck to you anyway.

That's a really nice ROI already on poker, I'm very curious to see if you can keep that up.
I agree that Pokerstars is probably one of the best website to play on, they easily have the nicest interface and you don't have to wait more than 5 minutes to join a game.

I hope you can also get some profit from sports betting though.

It was a very rough day. We had serious downswings but yet we managed to close our day very profitable. Mostly I have been playing heads ups and multi table SNGs. I played on tournament and I managed to make a very deep run. I got 74th over a 2206 players field. Unfortunately my 500k stack got crushed by someone who flopped a full house against my pocket AA.

We managed to close the day with 150.66$. Not that bad after 3 days and starting with only 31$ starting balance

Easy. Just follow this thread and reply on my posts. When after 7 days the balance is in profit I share 10% of my profits with a random forum member that replied on my posts during that week.

Day 4 updates

Going to focus some more on the poker today. I am on a good swing and those 24 person hyper turbo 5$ ko SNGs are so soft and bring good money.

Fuck me loosing streak. We started the day well and climbed up to 215$. As I am a gambler I sometimes like to take the gamble. So I did. I played a 60 and a 100$ heads up. Both lost on a fucking coin flip. Result balance back to 40$  ;D

Updated balances

Sportsbet.io        0.00734BTC
Pokerstars          0.0113928BTC (40.28$)

Coin flips are the worse. You can do all you can,,, and at the end of the day if the flip does not like you, you are in for it. So you did not set a target for yourself, why not just set 1 now?

I am trying to follow the bets but it looks really risky the style, then again if you won the flips, you would be in amazing profit!

Oh, man, I'm sorry you lost that much because of bad luck. It seams to me that you should not play any games but poker, you are so good at it. I can feel you and I know exactly what you mean by "I sometimes like to take the gamble". But why $60 and $100? Do it with $6 and $10 next time.

Anyway, it's an interesting thread. I'll keep watching it. Good luck in your future games!

Sorry I didn't update this thread but I was ill for over a week. I had the flue, feaver, etc. but doesn't matter. I got greedy and I busted my entire bankroll.

I lost a 10mbtc bet and same day I blew my 200$ poker bankroll by losing consecutive a 30 - 60 and 100$ Headsup hyper turbo. I was leading in all 3. For example in the 100$ I had 920 chips and opponent 80 chips. in some way this guy doubled up 3 times in a row and after that cracked my Aces for the win.

But no worries. I had fun and gonna start a new challenge very soon. But think im gonna stick to sport betting. In some way I cannot control myself in poker  ;D ;D

Sports betting will be fine if you have discipline and bet over a long period of games. You were playing games and betting wayyyyy out of your bankroll.

Sounds interesting.
So, how far have you gone with this?  I have seen similar trends on this section but it seems stop updating after awhile, probably didn't work out well for them and so they end up abandoning the idea.
