Title: [LEAKED] Samsung Galaxy S10 will support cryptocurrency
Post by: CloudFarm on January 24, 2019, 04:28:21 PM
A Samsung Galaxy S10 leak has given the world a view of Samsung’s new smartphone and the pictures reveal that the phone will be in support of cryptocurrency/blockchain.

The Galaxy S10 will be unveiled on the 20th of February and it is expected that sales will launch in the second week of March.

The leaked pictures show a wallet, called Samsung Blockchain KeyStore, shows itself off as “a secure and convenient place for your cryptocurrency”.

This will be a game changer and might even start next bull run. Been an iPhone user for several years but contemplating switching to android for this feature alone. As a crypto enthusiast I want to try this feature out.  :)

Cool. They are really into it now, I guess this is a sign of adoption.
Almost all the people who live int eh cities today have a phone even own two phones. Those who haven't heard of BTC or crypto in their entire life will somehow find this feature in their phone.

It's cool in terms of publicity because I assume it's something pre-installed, I don't think I'm going to trust it if it isn't open-source; though it depends, I would probably consider if they implement it like how Ledger does it. I'm definitely sticking with my Ledger Nano S in terms of cold storage though; as I definitely wouldn't want my cold storage connected to the internet almost 24/7.

As much as I am thrilled by this leaked photos, I would rather wait for the official announcement from Samsung. For all we know, this could be another fake news.

This is interesting, it shows that the big corporations are starting to embrace cryptos, and I suppose Samsung are doing this because they know there's actually a demand for it the market, otherwise, why go through all the trouble to have built-in wallet?

But this raises a lot of questions about security (private keys, passwords, etc), but I doubt the average samsung user cares security. Nevertheless, if true, this could be huge for adoption.
