Title: Outstanding conditions
Post by: Bit_Discourse on January 25, 2019, 03:04:33 PM
What should be the conditions for the growth of bitcoin? It was clear that the regulator would not approve ETF-funds from the very beginning. Follow the news and get an answer.

I see you created an account to ask this question.

What should be the conditions for the growth of bitcoin?

1-) we need to stop the scammers so that governments and banks take seriously the crypto world

2-) we need to stop manipulating the volumes in the exchange

3-) we need to have serious exchanges, committed to serving their customers well

4-) we need to stop with pump and dump schemes so that governments and banks take seriously the crypto world

5-) we need to stop the shitcoins that increase every day

Probably the only way to decrease the scams is to actually educate the people. Beyond that? I really don't know. Scams have existed since forever, and I really don't expect them to be gone anytime soon.

2-) we need to stop manipulating the volumes in the exchange
4-) we need to stop with pump and dump schemes so that governments and banks take seriously the crypto world
For us to achieve this, probably the only way is to heavily regulate exchanges(correct me if I'm wrong), but I think this is definitely something that most people wouldn't want.

5-) we need to stop the shitcoins that increase every day
Unforutnately, as long as anyone can create and start cryptocurrency projects, then there will always be shitcoins. Again, I think the only way to stop this is heavy regulations.

These are growth only focusing on the speculative aspect of bitcoin and certainly disregarding fundamentals which I think is growth stunted overall. Growth would always be on and off in this scenario, as there would be times wherein people would be making money and people are leaving for other opportunities.

5-) we need to stop the shitcoins that increase every day

This can't be help, unless sturdy and steadfast regulations tackling ICOs in the face are established.

If you really want to see bitcoin take off the USD needs to collapse.  I'm sure most bitcoiners would be excited for this to happen but it would wreak major havoc throughout the world.  Alternatively it could just be the currency of other nations falling and citizens start looking for bitcoin to retain some of their wealth.

Scammers are indeed a serious problem. So are volume manipulations that discredit the industry. As for #3, perhaps it would be better to have well-built decentralized exchanges to avoid negative impact of the ruling minority. Pump and dump, unfortunately, doesn't look to me like something we could stop one day. It's a part of the free market, and the influence of group actions like that will decrease as the community grows. #5 is similar. We cannot ban shitcoins or make people stop investing in them. Surely, governments could set strict requirements for ICOs so that only coins of certain level enter the market, but the crypto community is commited to the ideal of decentralization, so making them die from within does not sound like a solution. Moreover, I don't think that some minor altcoins increasing in price affect bitcoin's price.

regulations dont stop scammy exchanges. regulations turn exchanges into sherriffs to police its own customers, allowing exchanges to impose rules that can negatively impact customers while protecting the business.
whats needed is to strengthen consumer protections. which is different than rgulation.
for instance making it easier for consumers to report a business and actually get treated seriously.

as an example. in the uk regulations are that a customer cant easily just take a regulated business to court easily. they only recognise claims if a user has gone through the businesses policy first. EG
complaints department, formal written complaint, omburdsmen/arbitration and then courts. where each level is designed to dismiss/sway/delay the customer getting a result they want hoping the customer gives up trying.
for instance if you done each step and waited 14 days per response per step and 14 day's to the prepare next step it can take a year to have exhausted the policy steps, and then when going through court system, delays can take another couple years and many appeals and costs to discourage customers further

1. How do we do that? We can't just stop scammers from scamming. All we can do is prevent ourselves from getting scammed by acting smart.
2. This is a decentralized market. There is no way we can stop the manipulation of the volumes of the market.
3. Not sure what you meant by this. We do have good exchanges that servers their customer as needs. (yeah but most of them have shitty customer support)
4. Once again, we can't stop those pump and dump scheme. Remember, this is a free market. No one can stop anyone from doing anything.

To do that our self's as bitcoin users We should able to make bitcoin more stable and an expanding currency by increasing the adoption rate and that can be considered as significant because even it has become a great trading commodity today bitcoin has become an unused currency when it comes to real world scenarios so majority of individuals who have no intention to invest in it are not using BTC because it has failed to adopt into businesses and by changing this I think we can make a big difference

..in order for the Bitcoin to be fully growth first, we need to belive in the technology and in the power of Bitcoin on what does this will bring to us. We indeed in ourselve must believe that the existence of Bitcoin will lead us to the healthier future that we want..secondly, we need to use Bitcoin in a good purpose,,let's threat it in good way to avoid negative impact on future investors,,don't used Bitcoin to scam many people just for your own sake..
