I think it has been discussed, but I want to highlight once again about PM of copper member since I am annoyed by it.

Copper membership able to send PM even I have blocked newbie PM. It's really annoying now. The ear goal of copper membership is posting image according to theymos post title "  Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0)"
On the other hand they just simply skip earn 10 merit and joined signature same as member rank. Obviously it's the one of main reason current spam.

Why not just limit copper membership for posting image? Since it was original goal.

Another thing is showing signature on inbox. It it really important to show user signature on PM? Few user never joined or use any signature campaign. If we PM them with signature definitely they will fell annoy. Because PM is for personal discussion, it's not public discussion.

Is it possible diable view signature on inbox ?
Is it possible prevent PM from copper membership?

Some time I requested that the ability to block PMs from copper members was added to the forum. After all, what reason, other than a desire to spam, is there for buying a copper membership,

Indeed, this is the same as PM telegram entering, which is not important, sucks. PM in. Ignore friends? or block?
I don't think you can solve these two questions now.
I don't know maybe there is a friend who can solve your problem, but I'm not sure, private PMs are blocked, deleted, and ignored.

A suggestion would be to toggle on or off with signatures in messages.

For me, it's okay for the PM's to have signatures because as I read different threads, different sections, when I see a familiar signature, just like OgNasty and people who put up their own. I somewhat have a grasp on who I'm talking to, and signatures are a way to express yourself, just like real signatures.

So if you're a signature campaign participant, like me, just be prepared to see a lot of signatures too.

Jr. Members also may have a signature and send personal messages without restrictions.

Only about "signature" in inbox case: The name itself indicates that the signature is needed to sign the letters. I can not imagine a situation in which the signature would be invisible in private messages.

I don't see any issue with signature in the PM. That still is a way of advertising in the forum, so long as someone does not spam your PM. You still see them on almost every post in the forum... don't you?
So why does it become a big issue in PM?

If you are getting some annoying PM then just use "Report to Admin" for that PM. Administration will definitely look and start blocking (may ban too) PM from that user.

Actually there is no need to see them as "lowly creatures" that should not able to PM you. Only reason I understand of newbie restrictions because forum account is created without any check and anybody can create multiple accounts within a minute and start spamming.

I believe less in restrictions but no mercy for rule breakers.
If Copper Member is breaking rule it should be dealt according to forum rule.

I barely receive PMs from Copper Newbies. Is it because you've tagged them? In that case it seems fair to at least give them a chance to discuss their tag.
Or if you really don't want that, you could add them to your PM ignore list when you tag them.

Unless it's random Copper Newbies spamming you, in that case you can report the PMs to Admin.

I guess you aren't getting a large number of them thats incapable of being handled,then it's best you just report them to the moderators
And if it's users sending you private messages to beg for merits,then you could as well tag them to dissuade others from doing so
Copper membership comes with privileges,and pms is one of them which theymos would definitely not take away

Not all that get copper membership are for shady reasons. I purchased for being able to add images to my posts. I am not here to join bounties or financial gain like other users. I am doing quite well financially and don't need extra funds.  I also don't PM anyone so if newbies are blocked from PM its ok with me.

It would be great to see PMs classified under different folders, maybe a "spam" folder for PMs from newbies and "important" folder for PMs from users I had previous conversations with them.

Concerning Ads, I am totally against. It is a private space, if you want to advertise something you should ask for permission before.

It is impossible to prevent door-to-door sellers from knoking your door, but, at least, you are free to not open for them.

I don't pm you that often?

Maybe a merit threshold for PMs should be made so I can set mine to Googolplex., 😂

It might be more interesting, after all one merit isn't too hard to get but 3 or 5 might be...
