Title: S9 Hydro not reporting or connecting
Post by: takagari on January 26, 2019, 11:09:32 PM
Good day all
I finally got off my ass and setup two of my hydro miners.
cold as hell here
I have awesome miner, which matches the reports of the two miners. each at 18.44TH

but when I goto antpool
instead of miners
Takagari.s9h001
Takagari.s9h002

I now have only one miner showing as Takagari.1
at 358GH/s

I tried putting a miner onto my slush pool and it simply never connected.

Prior to this I was having issues with my e3 connecting then dropping quickly.

I feel I may have an issue in my network? something I can't seem to find.

Any thoughts on where I should look? what I should try?

I am in the process of changing my cabling now.

Thanks

this is because you use the same worker on the two miners.

go to your miner configuration. name the workers as follows

first miner :

Takagari.1

second miner :

Takagari.2

I tried putting a miner onto my slush pool and it simply never connected.

you might be putting the wrong setting,  can you post here how do you configure slush pool worked?

I feel I may have an issue in my network? something I can't seem to find.

if antpool is working fine, then it's unlikely to do with your network, you just need to ensure you are using the right server that is close to you and using the correct settings.

just post screenshots of the configuration, will be able to tell you what exactly needs to be done.

i do not see that as my workers are Takagari.S9H002 and Takagari.S9H001

but I will try just .1

It never connected to slush at all, and shows wrong stats on antpool.

Can I ask why the hell are you mining at Antpoo(l) ?

I do not believe that's what I was asking for advice on?
but as I stated above, I can not get a connection to slush.

when I put in the slush info, it doesn't even mine. the miner itself will mine on antpool, but is only reporting a fraction to antpool.
if antpool info is in. it will show on Awesome Miner. if I use the slush info, it does not come online on Awesome Miner

pastebin of the kernal and minotor for the one I'm trying to connect to slush

are you following  the exact details?

please copy paste from this

URL :

Code:
stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333

worker " username should be your slushpool username"

Code:
userName.s9a

password

Code:
x

I will try again but I just set the other one up to viabtc and it's not connecting. and again awesome miner is telling me disconnected.
Somethings up. I've replaced both network cables, and the hub.

some progress, i got one to connect to ViaBTc. its slowly climbing up at 5 TH currently.

NO idea what I've changed. but I could not connect to slush. no matter what I try

it will take time to report full hashrate, also try to restart your router ?

as far as slushpool goes, i still want to see the configuration page to determine any typos, usually a leading space keeps you from connecting.

One of your screenshots shows a unit with a single fan running at 600 rpm, the next screenshot shows 5 fans reporting. I have not personally touched an s9 hydro but either of those numbers would be cause for concern on a standard S9
