Title: Deleted posts?
Post by: takagari on January 28, 2019, 05:35:59 AM
I just had 2 of my own replies deleted off my post?

WHY?

I'm a legendary member, I'm not after post counts or any other reason. but when I make two posts in a row with updated info. suddenly they are deleted?

24hrs later mind you, so clearly NOT automated?

what gives?

Because according to forum rules, posting multiple posts in a row is not allowed.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

Still correct me if it's not the case.

I don't see how it is,it just helps to cut down on multiple posting.
And why post multiple times, when you can edit the previous ones and add your new input in them,it makes total sense that way,as well as keeps the thread neat and tidy

yes makes sense I guess.
Just be nice if the damn deleted post message gave a REASON why it was removed. and/or they just combined the posts.

Why don't you edit your posts yourself?

Rules are common for all members, whether they are Newbies or Legendaries.

That would add tremendous extra effort for the staff; not needed. Once you familiarize yourself with the rules, you are likely to know the reason for which it got deleted by just seeing which post got deleted.

Mining Board? Yeah, that's the top 1 most moderated places in the forum, expect rule-breaking posts to be deleted ASAP.
If you ever saw a thread with multiple replies from a single user, that doesn't mean that it's allowed. Moderators of the particular board may be inactive or didn't received any reports.

Why don't you just edit the post and add a horizontal line spacer ([hr]) followed by -edit- or -update- to mark where the edited parts are?

-update-

Like this.

Can someone look at this thread please- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4522069.0
It has 4 pages and 95% are from the OP. I had reported back in the day but it didn't get deleted. Maybe because of the inactivity of mod or it is allowed?

Some mods get only activ to protect their DT buddies.
Funny they nearly delete some of my posts with proofs instantly and at your case doesn't care much.
Would be a nice feature to see which mod is deleting these posts

Those bumps seem to have more than 24h between them.

OH I see. I've had post deleted in the past and now I understand why. But that was before I know I could quote 2 different msg in my reply. LOL

Take a look at this; this would have be deleted but wasn't, still believe that the Mod. is or may not be active.
