Hey

Just wanted to inform everyone that I understand XCH4NGE is allowing users in  India to Buy Bitcoin, XRP, ETH, LTC and BCH (https://www.xch4nge.com)
on a peer to basis. XCH4NGE acts as a marketplace to facilitate transaction between two parties. All users are verified, to create a safe environment to trade.

The website clearly says,

Quote
Why Choose XCH4NGE?
Our P2P platform provides a simple and secure way to buy cryptocurrency with fiat in the UK.

Not sure why you've posted this website link in Indian section of the forum? I don't see any utility for Indians here!

I think because XCh4nge is a localbitcoin wannabe. Everyone knows how crucial a p2p platform like lbc is crucial to the economies where cryptos are still not officially accepted.

Hi guys,

Here is the list of best crypto exchanges in India (https://coinfunda.com/best-crypto-currency-exchange-in-india-updated-list-2019/) Which one is the best.
With Zebpay shutting down September last year, Koinex is no doubt the best active crypto-exchange for Indians. Transactions are smooth over it. If you don't trust an exchange, head on to Localbitcoins for peer-to-peer transactions.

Hi guys,

Here is the list of best crypto exchanges in India (https://coinfunda.com/best-crypto-currency-exchange-in-india-updated-list-2019/) Which one is the best.

Giottus
Pocketbits
CoinSwitch.co
I have used these three. For P2P transaction Giottus is the Best. I found Pocketbits a bit confusing for P2P transaction. CoinSwitch (https://blog.coinswitch.co) is for buying Anonymously.

To trade Indians can use deribit, Bitmex.

Simply use WazirX P2P, it has a trading interface and high liquidity. You can easily sell 10 BTC in a few hrs.

I think none of the major exchanges are now in India operating because government have closed all such exchanges or considering the government stand where they have asked to close all the bank accounts related to crypto currency indicates itself that they are not in favor of crypto .

In India, still, most of the exchanges are working without any problem.

In today UNOCOIN become the number one exchange in India after the shut down of ZEBPAY due to the closing of banking transaction in Bitcoin. Now Unocoin tied up with Airtm and providing the cross currency conversion from BTC to INR. There are many other exchange which are still struggling because of the Govt. petition against the Bitcoin pending on the Supreme Court.

Yes you are right but I think Unocoin suits everyone more like a wallet because I don't think most of the people really like it's trading platform. More popular exchanges are Koinex which is working because of its Koinex Loop. WazirX which has introduced P2P which is working pretty well by placing a set of buy and sell orders in USDT. Bitbns which is also working on a queue P2P system to bring depositors and with-drawers on board together. Although I think WazirX is best in terms of fair pricing to the international market unlike most of the others.

Another Indian Exchange Bites the Dust

In what quickly becoming a norm, another cryptocurrency exchange from India, announced its plans to suspend services for its users, from next week.

Indian exchange, Coinome said, “All crypto markets on Coinome will be suspended, effective 2pm on May 15th, 2019. Customers are requested to withdraw all their crypto assets from Coinome at the earliest.”

While, the exchange has not provided a specific reason as to why it suddenly decided to suspend trading activities, it is not very hard to figure out. Like, we have reported on similar situations, it is very expensive to keep an exchange operational, given the regulatory uncertainties and no guarantee of revenue coming in.

The first exchange to shut shop was Zebpay. At the time, Ajeet Khurana, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zebpay had told us, “The Indian environment is highly non-conducive to the crypto business. Our revenue model is only through transaction fees. So by shutting the exchange, we have effectively made our revenue zero. Naturally no company would want to do that if it has a choice.”

Unocoin has fired half their staff members as they can't afford to pay them and I doubt that they will continue their services as the trading volume is low and Bitcoins are being sold for 1 lac less than the market rate.

I was shocked to see Zebpay now has become an international exchange. I last heard it was shutting down and hence I uninstalled the app.

There is no solid business going on in unocoin and there are several good exchanges if you are having a trading pair of coins they are offering with a high enough liquidity and since they are not planning to remodel their business and keep on waiting for a favorable hearing from the court, their business will die off as i do not expect the legal system to produce any verdict at a meaningful time and with the arrest of their founders because of the bitcoin ATM they installed, everything was on a downfall for a long time, Zebpay just understand that there is no point in trust the Judicial system or the government to have a favorable situation for their business and hence they registered their business outside.

I was pretty sure Zebpay will re-enter the Global market after they were forced to exit Indian market. They registered as a new company in some other country (Malta I guess) and it clearly showed their upcoming strategy. However, I was upset that Zebpay completely forgotten Indian market. They should have remained associated, at least as an alternative P2P network.
I uninstalled the app too. But it was useless for us anyway.

They just gave up and now are supporting mostly EU countries but many countries have not even declared crypto legal so they are again taking a risk of relocating. I had just registered in April-May 2018 and had completed KYC and when the circular was released, I gave up on using Zebpay.

WazirX is best option for indians because its having Volume and time for transaction is so much less if Buyer and seller are both Online and able to do payment..

Previously Zebpay was taking 1 to 2 working days for completing transaction of withdrawal...

Now in WazirX it took 5 minutes or less
