Title: BPIP not showing User's Account
Post by: cabalism13 on January 31, 2019, 11:47:15 AM
I already message Vod about this, for I know he's the one managing this site. But it seems his not yet online.

As far as I know this site can show all the profiles here on bitcointalk except for the deleted accounts back then, but suddenly when I was  searching on some fishy accounts I found this issue.

I tried using LoyceV's Data for viewing Merit History, and a good thing it showing on my face. So the only problem is the BPIP.org

The User Account I was looking is this:
Name:CryptoCutie
ID: 1231225

Though that profile has received so many Merits from a large network of friendship, You can notice that Merits are rotating/circulating on those accounts.

Which user are you searching for? Some have invalid/invisible characters in their names.

I already edited my post, and nope it doesnt seem to have any special character on its name, I even used his User ID on searching but it doesn't also appear on bpip.org

I suppose, questions about BPIP would be appropriate to ask in the Vod's thread:

Announcing BPIP - The Bitcointalk Public Information Project! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4746201.msg42865128#msg42865128)

From my experience, I think BPIP misses about 0.2% of the accounts.
If you're looking for a Merit history, I have complete files. See my merit analysis thread.

But I think that 0.2% is the deleted profiles here on bitcointalk. I can't remember a thing that Vod has mentioned any missed accounts excepr for the deleted accounts.
@LoyceMobile I already did that, for I'm pretty curious about the Merit History of that User. Almost all of the Merits was from an ANN Thread.

My full concern is the BPIP, although profiles are being updated from time to time but that User isn't appearing on the site.

Just from the custom trust list (with about 10k users), I have this list of profiles that I couldn't find on BPIP:
Code:
128227: +1
1059179: 1tank1
355653: BTCtrader56
928559: Bayoe_noe
1250048: BitcoinHomework
1400020: Bitcoin_Talk
904524: ChiBitCTy
875854: DavidXXXX
372691: GaXy速
898269: Green Apple
1040546: Krackerbush
1781028: Mark Baum
119233: Min皙r
1831676: Sellingaccs
1004646: TheWinnerBro
408246: YuT端.Co.in
1144774: Yur
216933: baokychen
955802: barabut
150231: bgibso01
1665212: blackmagical
948159: cetobeto+scammer
118320: granathus
1567889: jesh2206
1060326: maf81
193993: novaboy2k
10733: qberty
1068057: retinger
268947: satosh臓
352845: spiceminer15
1532445: traianos123
249250: troleyb端s
1314775: tsoyens01
21885: 足Craven
Some of those were caused by weird characters in the name and can be found by userID.

My guess would be it's caused by a timeout during scraping.

This shouldn't disturb you,  just know the BPIP project isn't affiliated with bitcointalk. So anything related to it should be addressed to the site owned either through pm or on his project Announcement thread. The platform displaces wrong informations sometimes like saying I have recieve just 140merits etc. This shouldn't bother us and isn't worth creating a thread on meta for.

-snip

But those accounts can be seen by using their USER IDs ???

Neh, just wonder'n. Hmmm, but the fact that Vod's BPIP is helping us out to view some summaries without a hassle,... I just created this topic for some reason that BPIP is connected within the forum.

Well, you may be right, anyways will soon lock this thread as soon as I can get Vod's feedback

This is shocking information!   ???

I guess what I need to do is first clean up the character issue, and then identify the missing records.

I have 19,934 deleted records.
