Anybody here still trading on poloniex? I have some old token that is gaining price right now and I would like to sell them in early because I'm sure sooner the price will drop.

Does anybody still use Poloniex?

Poloniex is good exchange but now you can not trade without verification, So first verify your self if you still unverified member then start trading.

I don't think if still safe to trade at poloniex because I will not trade to that exchanges site. I don't feel poloniex is safe but it's only for me and I don't think what is the people mind. Because we have different thinking and Idea and having a favorite and safe exchanges site base on what we experienced of their service.

This is one of the biggest trading platform i still use this in trading of my ETH. For me its still safe :)

In recent days the poloniex have bad reputation and even many of them were unresolved scam accusations so don't trade on it.Just try on any other exchange where your token was listed if the prices is not same as poloniex in other exchange then it is not real bump on that exchange.

I have seen some complain against Ploniex. You can also find those in scam accusation. By the way, I never used this exchange and that's ehy I have no knowledge or experience on it. You can decide by checking the scam accusation.

Poloniex is not as popular as it used to be, now Poloniex doesn't have a good ranking from the list of trading volumes, currently it only has $ 5 million and this is very bad

Many other safe, and most importantly understandable, have already appeared, but the Poloniex is still respected and can serve as a good alternative.

A lot of my friends are not using it again right now consider there was a bunch of complicated verification process. they can freeze your money anytime as they want. I'm not sure you can withdraw them easily from there. Just put a little money to test it

safety has different levels when it comes to exchanges. there are no exchanges that are actually safe so all we have are unsafe exchanges some less safe than others. when it comes to Poloniex, they used to be a good exchange back in 2014-2015 but as they continued to grow, their service quality continued to decline and as in 2017 when they started having a lot of issues people started leaving that platform for others places.

to answer your question, if you look at the exchange volumes you can clearly see that Poloniex which used to be rank #1 in volume is nowhere near the top anymore which proves people aren't using it anymore.

I have not used this exchange in a long time almost 2 years now.
Once they started asking for KYC documentation I knew I had to find other options.

I used poloniex more than 2 years and still safe to trade there now, just make sure your account already verified so you can make withdrawal. Currently poloniex has higher trading volume than Bittrex and this exchange also was added alot of good coin.

I love Poloniex. I think it's a good working exchange. If he develops himself a little, he is both more preferred and awakens the love of old Poloniex in people.

We all know that Poloniex is a long-standing and very popular trading market and even I sometimes trade at Poloniex, but I have no longer traded in Poloniex since there have been many issue and complaints from users

I left Poloniex about two years ago. There were no problems, just my operations with ethereum ended then, and other coins required other exchanges. I came back at the end of 2018 and passed the KYC extremely easily. Try it if you have to. Maybe KYC on Polo isn't so scary anymore  ;D

Poloniex, in my opinion, is a high-quality and reliable crypto exchange. I have been trading on it for two years and this exchange does not cause any complaints to me. Poloniex requires verification, but this verification is very easy. My verification took only 10 minutes. Transactions are carried out quickly, without delay. Money is withdrawn without any problems.

Still good for trading cause this is one of the biggest trading platform for trading cryptocurrency. but right now Poloniex wants to improve its security, one of which is to verify or KYC first to start trading.

Yes, I still continue to trade on Poloniex. This exchange is still safe. Perhaps the volume of trades has become smaller.

Polo is fine as far as I'm aware.
We must always be careful though not to store large amounts on any exchanges, no matter how reputable - it adds an unnecessary element of risk. By all means keep smaller amounts on an exchange, or split across several exchanges, just be careful not to rely entirely on one exchange to keep your coins safe.

Well yes. But I'd recommend also to take a look at a new exchanges, and preffer decentralized. For example DexAge. As for me very prommising progect with a working MVP. And it's looking very friendly and good.

I still use Poloniex to trade and so far, I don't have any trouble, and it is safe for me. But it depends on you because if you already activate everything to save your account, then you are good to trade in Poloniex. Poloniex still one of the biggest exchange until now although Binance and Bittrex are bigger than Poloniex. But I wonder what old token you mean about because I see that in Poloniex, I see many of the coins can increase as the same as I see in Bittrex and Binance.

The fact that they are upgrading their verification process means to me that they are upgrading also their security features. I've not heard anything in the past months but I just updated my verification few days ago. I didn't hear any negative issues though. So, better try some little amount for testing and if it goes well, you know what to do.

Yep, why not. It wasn't hacked and everything is fine with it. As many guys have already said you must get through KYC process before you'll be able to trade and withdrawal deposit. It's not a big deal with such a reliable exchange.

I see some complain about volume.  Poloniex dont have fake volume as 70% of others exchanges. You can find that on that Transparency institute report.  I see their last report is from december : https://www.blockchaintransparency.org/december-2018-rankings  You see Poloniex is on rank.8

Poloniex was an exchange I used a lot 2 years ago. I had no problems at that time. But I don't know the current situation because I haven't used it in a long time. You can google it for actual user comments.

Not so many people are interested in using Poloniex these days, because of some news that are being peddled about them. The exchange used to be one of those on the interest lists when i first joined the cryto space, but even till now, i have not used it and i do not think i will ever consider it again, since there are now so many other exchanges i can still trust.
If you truly want to be on a safer side, i would advise you don't use it and just opt for another exchange where your tokens are listed. The pump might just be to lure users.

It has been a while since I last read a topic about Poloniex. I think the exchange is like a graveyard right now. If I were you, I would just sell or withdraw what I had there.

I stopped using the exchange for a long time, but I see there are no problems with Poloniex all good. I do not use polo because they do not load new coins, because I like new coins so polo is not an exchange that suits me.

It seems pretty deaded recently. I think it is safe, though.

This exchange is really very good. When I got to know this market, the exchange I used first was a poloniex exchange. Because they are not so concerned about users and customers, and do not list new altcoin, this exchange is dead and no people use at the present time

I'm still using Polo, but would prefer to move into a DEX, but volume's low for now, let´s hope decentralized exchanged start to get more attention

Why not try to figure out some other trading platforms out there? like forkdelta or bittrex, binance, etc? They are much more trustworthy for your trade in a simple way. You can trade as much as you want.

My first crypto exchange is Poloniex, but I don't use it long time ago, doesn't mean poloniex not safe, just because of other exchange is better than it right now, if token just available in poloniex exchange, then you don't have choice and I recommend immediately withdraw after trade.

Yeah never heard of it, but due to the many problems that occur and still unresolved cause some people uncomfortable for trade there. This exchange place has lost its reputation because of those problem and also its rank in the coinmarketcap has also declined.

I was trading in Poloniex last year, but the volume there is getting smaller and smaller and I was so afraid that they might close because of that reason so I transferred to Binance.

As long as I use Poloniex I don't find a problem and it's safe. No need to hesitate to trade there.

Is the token you want to sell listed on poloniex ? If so I doubt there is any reason not to sell it and withdraw the cash ?
I mean if you want to just constantly trade there all the time there are better places out there but if you just aim to sell one token you have and get out then its fine for that much time period.

Binance is by far the best place to just day trade and constantly be part of the market and become a trader and poloniex fails to do that because it lacks the volume and also the amount of coins listed there however this is just about day trading and even long term investing. Long story short, just log in and sell all your coins and get out, go to some other website with your profits, not because poloniex is bad but because poloniex is not the best.

I have long been using this exchange , and I think that it is suitable for trading, only on this exchange is certainly not as much liquidity as on binance but suitable for trading!

I used to trading on poloniex and never have any problem during use them but i don't log in again to my poloniex account since several years ago because i was decide to use other exchange to trade but since i didn't see bad news regarding poloniex until now then i think trading at there still safe

Ah the once most popular crypto exchange Poloniex...It's been a very long time since I used that exchange and I do not planning on using them anytime soon.

Poloniex is one the most popular exchanges before but it is quite moving into the dark knowing how many unresolved issued with their team. In fact, they don't want to clear them out and let it happen again. I'll doubt if this exchanges will bring back their reputation since many traders are leaving from there.

Poloniex is an excellent exchange. I like trading there, it was one of the first my exchanges and I don't plan to change it fow a new 'popular' one. Yes, you can trade there safely.

Now almost all big exchanges are asking KYC verification and same Poloniex has started it but why users are complaining about KYC process in poloniex i was using poloniex long before more then 15 months as they are very choosy in listing the tokens and coins, was using other exchanges for trading. But still BTC and ETH trading is very good in poloniex.

How can you say that it is safe there after organizations that belong to the banking system bought this exchange?

Not sure if they are still safe to trade. Haven't used that exchange for a while. As far as I know, they became more strict with their traders. Just be careful when you are trading and make sure you are verified to avoid any problems which you might face later as an unverified user.
Depends on what kind of coin it is and how popular is the coin in the market.

I am trading on Poloniex already for several years. They have some troubles with financing, I think somebody have bought them about a year ago, but I have never faced some difficulties with this exchange.

poloniex long-standing exchange and gained the trust of some people, just inspires confidence that this exchange is in the United States , I think you can trade there safely

Given how old-school Polo is and given who acquired it recently, I think it's a pretty safe bet.
But I don't use it simply for UX reasons - there's simply better alternatives on the market.

Do you still want to trade on Poloniex after reading these threads?

I used to spend a lot of time on poloniex, it was one of the top exchanges in the world (before binance came out). Not sure what happened but their support disappeared and there was a lot of problems. Then binance came out and everyone switched. I'm sure it is ok there with the new management team but i don't use it anymore.

Better if everyone understand that they are not the same how they were before few years so now just use biiance but even it can turn into another Poloniex or cryptopia so start encourage using decentralized exchanges we will have good safety for our funds.

Normal exchange, and as far as I remember it never had any problems, so try and I think that you will not have any problems either!

i can vouch for this exchange. ive been using this for very long time already.
actually, there was a time that i kept my btc in this exchange for more than a year. and didnt encounter any prob whatsoever

The community should really embrace the many decentralized exchanges available.

I think that articles want to make people panic and besides that, people know using KYC for every member, so I think they don't want to complete verification. But I don't know what their purpose because I trade on Poloniex too and I don't have any problem until now and like other exchange, Poloniex still safe until this day. Better people be careful to read the article because we don't know the truth of the article.

Poloniex had no verification. And since are registered in USA they had to add it, then people that used fake personal information got locked out of their accounts. That pissed few people off. But them using fake names will always get them in troubles.

Until now, my funds in Poloniex are very safe as well as you are until now your tokens are still there, so there is no problem for you to save them or sell them, I think all the decisions to sell are in your hands, I still faithfully become a trader in Poloniex until this is because it has a high trading volume

So many traders that complaining about poloniex and other people saying it's a scam but I don't think but its better to make some re-search about poloniex before start to trade again.

After Circle acquired Poloniex now poloneix is gradually growing adding new features i still feel poloniex is safe and comfortable to trade

some time ago often heard the news about the hijacking of the account at poloniex.,its true or not i dnt know.but my account poloniex always any get info about trying login .it announcement by email but i not login.their secure is good or not i dnt know.but for hacking account there very oftentimes

I have traded with Poloniex last year and did not find any issue with them,  there is no issue with deposit and withdrawal of funds, trading is also good in it.Although I have not used this exchange recently but I did not hear anything wrong or "not safe" like thing with Poloniex , if you still have doubt I would suggest you to search for its reviews over internet. Poloniex is one of the good crypto exchanges I have traded with so far.

Yes, I trade on this exchange, I like it, but as an auxiliary exchange, based of course binance , but in poloniex there are convenient chips so you can safely trade

It good have been good if you should tried and longin your account before open this thread as this could have reduced your tension.  I strongly believe that most of these strong exchanges are going to remain with us and we are going to benefit from all of them in future. 

Poloniex use verification to increase the level of the member, and as I remember, I follow their suggestion to send the document for verification, and I think they don't allow the member to trade without verification. As long as we can take attention with our account, I think we don't have any problem to trade in the Poloniex, and we can feel safe to stay in their site.

I haven't heard any bad feedback or a scam accusation in this site, so I guess your still good to go.
What tokens you are planning to trade, if you can find a high volume exchange the better, because you can get the best price will decent volume
in a certain exchange. Poloniex was once the best trading site in crypto, that's on the early days but unfortunately, it was outperformed by the new
and more innovating exchanges.

As far as I know, this exchange today has very great opportunities. Very many traders use this exchange and very large volumes are involved on this exchange. Therefore, I see potential and do not see problems despite the fact that it was not so long ago resold.

the last time i used it it was still good. so you can use the exchange if you really want to try it.

I stopped using Poloniex for several reasons, one of them being too slow in their support for solving problems. it pisses me off and that is one of the biggest reasons why I stopped trading there...

I did not find any problem the last time I used this exchange, though it's been a month I also sold some stuck coins that gained some value, withdrawal of my funds doesn't have any issue, guess you need to take some risk or choose another exchange that you fully trust instead of doubting polo best for your
money to be safe than experience problem with this one.

I saw a recent report on Poloniex entering into an exchange with a good level of security. so maybe it's practically safe. but had a bad experience about this exchange, my deposit had been held for almost more than a week without clarity. after I submitted the ticket and everything finally this problem could be solved.
but after that I didn't use it anymore.

Look at the volumes and you will see that Polo is still strong and popular enough.

I think its fine. Poloniex is one of the biggest exchange when it comes to trading volume. And I am using it for a quite long time. And for me it is absolutely fine. But there is many rumours and fud about poloniex so I am also bit Scarry about this . So recently I don't use poloniex without it is very needy. But I don't face any kind of problem in poloniex even in recent time. So you can use it but don't use it as a main exchange atleast I avoid it as main exchange. That's it.

I have registered a few days ago on Poloniex and wanted to make a deposit. I have deposited some VTC coins and I was forced to wait for 600 confirmations. I have waited 2 days for my coins to arrive in my wallet. I have sold them and will never use this exchange again.

I do not like this exchange and I do not use it.Poor technical support and problems with transactions, a lot of bad reviews about this exchange.

Poloniex was acquired by circles in recent times and hence you may trust them like before but all you need right now is, clearing KYC. After poloniex is under new managements, we are having many strict rules like this but it is all good for safer trading environment hence we may not need to hesitate to provide them our documents. I guess you are fully aware of what happened with bittrex in last 2 years and now it is time for poloniex for same set of events.

I used to trade on Poloniex before and never faced any problem. I didn't have to submit any form of verification documents back then. Not sure if its still the same. I started using Binance. It felt kinda better than Poloniex and you can trade up to a certain limit without verification (the limit is large enough for making casual trades). Though, never store huge amount of coins in an exchange. They might get hacked anytime and you might loose everything.
