litecoin is the only altcoin that has always followed bitcoin without fail. and for it to rise back up again and reach higher values it needs to wait for bitcoin to riser back up again. and for the time being we see that bitcoin is in accumulation stage and that makes its rally near.
as soon as bitcoin starts rising which will be soon, LTC will follow and reach its higher prices again.

Speculation on projects is not new and i am not moved at all. You can move up the thread to speculation.

I think litecoin is a good project, but just as etherum needs bitcoin bull movement, so does litecoin needs the bull run to have a huge increase in price.

Not sure about that, just try to take some new blockchain platforms which were created the more scalable blockchain compared to the litecoin. Dude, litecoin will never be an independent coin. That will always pegged to the bitcoin and that's not only litecoin but whole of crypto.

I don't expect any LTC surge without BTC either and I think that it's silly to make such kind of price predictions based on nothing. What's the point to talk about fees and other features if there is simply no players at the market? Institutional investors won't come without insured custody solutions and until BTC breaks the bear trend.

wow, if we use a simple comparasion,, now the price of litecoin was about $32 and bitcoin about $3,400
wich mean if litecoin will touch about $230 in this year,, bitcoin price will be more than $20,000 my friend

And this market will increase 7 times in just 1 year. It's too hard for it to repeat like 2017. I just hope that the LTC won't fall below $ 10 in 2019 and the BTC won't go below $ 2500. Market in 2019 will be worse than 2018, that is for sure

Litecoin good coin and I think that it is possible to invest, but not all the money. Growth will be only when bitcoin starts to grow again and it is likely that it will be in 2019 and therefore litecoin will grow as the market as a whole. You need to be able to wait.

I think you are correct in the submission of the rising of litecoin. And so true is also the fact that, any coin would hardly rise without the corresponding rise in bitcoin, except the coin is pumped which means it is artificial rise which is doom to fall as soon as it rises.

There are real thoughts on this. I think that the situation as a whole may seem very, very unpredictable. If most people believe that the price will increase, then you probably need to work against the crowd. Because it has always been like this.

The new privacy feature might open doors for a different kind of use, something less legit and more dark. Those markets are very prosperous so it might pump more than btc

There are many privacy coins around and I don't see huge pumps. Monero, Zcash, Dash, PivX, Verge - all of them have lost more than 95% since ATH. Even brand new privacy coins beam and grin don't perform that well. Why LTC should?

This development is a very good step, I also think with you, that the steps taken by Litecoin will encourage them to get a stable price, but not for now, because prices on the market do not support, I am sure in the future

Isn't this year in August also the block reward halving for Litecoin? This could also have a nice effect on the LTC price.

No dought Litecoin will follow BTC trend, so I can't predict that exact price but it will move with the Bitcoin rise for sure. So, if Bitcoin reaches over 10k then there is a good chance that LTC may move up over $250. But, honestly, I wouldn't invest in LTC anymore.

Although im confident about the future of all the quality coins but i do not understand why lightening network os still not available even after years of its announcement, LN was coming to eliminate the core scalability issues faced by both btc and ltc, i hope we will see rapid development and upgrades soon for big coins like btc and ltc so that price can also follow.

I agree. The price of altcoin is not able to grow on its own, it will necessarily follow the price of bitcoin, like the entire market. In this case, a lot of coins will grow, but the exact numbers can hardly be predicted.

As the currency is gaining more popularity, the acceptance ratio might also increase.

everything is possible but i think that no one can predict it for sure i on a personal level i hope that litecoin can get to $250 at the end of the year

And why does Litecoin rise to 230 this year?  In spite of these events, I do not think that investors will immediately run to invest money in it, so most likely the growth will be only when the market rises!

I also stopped caring for litecoin I sold all my litecoin before it's biggest dip, like Ethereum it needs Bitcoin bull movement to get back on it's feet, even if they made a lot of advertisement in MMA it has no impact on Litecoin.

I don't know where the 230 USD price is coming from. It looks like a prediction coming from the author of that article. The other numbers you can read in that article are also very funny. Finder predicting $40, oracle times predicting $1000, investing pr predicting also $1000, George Tung predicting $1500, and BK Capital Management predicting $500 by the end of this year. I think all of these predictions are no good if this bear market continues. If BTC doesn't recover toward its previous ATH, nothing will push LTC toward these heights as well.

actually other coins are different.
obviously they can get pumped easier if bitcoin is rising but they still get pumped nonetheless. as i said LTC is the only coin that has followed bitcoin tightly, other coins have never followed bitcoin.

Personally, I do not consider LiteCoin as an investment vehicle. For me, this coin holds very bad when compared to most other projects. And I find it hard to believe in the big growth after the market recovery. And as far as I see the interest of the community LiteCoin also gradually loses.

Right.Don't be discouraged easily if you are not making profits in trading.Maybe you still have to learn good strategies in trading for you to become success in the end.There are still a lot of people here that started losing in trading but never give up.Instead they become more motivated to learn more by studying  and keep on experiencing trading that have given them lessons  and have molded them to be good traders in the end.

Price already pass $90. In the begining of year LTC was in very bad case, and the news from Charlie cause a big price increase. And this increase is still continuing and I believe it will pass $200.

Yeah, Litecoin looks pretty strong and a price of > 200 USD is definitely possible this year. Especially when you consider that the whole crypto market will follow Bitcoin if BTC keeps surging.
