Title: Cryptos Now A Bonafide Currency in Wyoming
Post by: Unblock_news on February 07, 2019, 02:44:54 AM
The State of Wyoming had initiated experimenting on the usability of cryptocurrency as an official currency.

Wyoming stands as the only state in the US to consider the legalization of cryptocurrencies, but as most people call it, Wyoming is currently viewed as a state sandbox. If this law turns out to be successful, there is potentially going to be a long wave of US states declaring cryptocurrencies as an official currency.

Not new and probably not much data could be gathered knowing how the state is not touched much by industrialization and a lot of businesses here are still loving themselves some cash. It would be interesting to see however if tourists would flock Wyoming just to see whether bitcoin and crypto payments are already being embraced by the locals. If that'd be the case, then we'll see how would businesses in Wyoming handle cryptopayments all in all.

How the organization that are doing business on multiple state will accept the payment? I guess they will take payment from customer and use third party payment processor and convert into fiat instantaneously.
A welcome decision but still a long way to go for mass adoption.

i am surprised that such a news like this hasn't gone viral. granted it is just one state in US but that is still a pretty big news in my opinion specially since bitcoin is going to be tax-free in Wyoming now (according to news sites).

I think it's viral enough online, but I'm not sure about TV news in the United States. Maybe it's because Wyoming is not that much of a "relevant" state? But yea, quite relevant news in my opinion. We'll slowly but surely get there.

Its great news for sure and i too wonder why it hasnt generated more
interest from mainstream news sites? I suppose over this side of the
world news is filled by BREXIT.

I think we can be sure other states will follow what Wyoming started.

The basic concept is that crypto will be treated the same as FIAT which
will mean taxation and will most peobably banks becoming more involved.

FORBES have a big article on it >

Wyoming has always been the most progressive state. Not progressive as in "communist" like california, but actually progressive - first female voter, plenty of libertarians living there, and all this crypto-friendly laws nowadays.
It's also the most beautiful state, I want to retire there or at least live there for a few years further down the road.

This is very good news for crypto users. I hope everything goes well with the implementation. Because if they will be successful in utilizing the cryptocurrencies, every state has high chance to follow the change.

It's not a benefit for local hodlers, but to attract bitcoin businesses who wish to open shop in a crypto friendly area. This will boost the local economy and everyone benefits

Any dramatic changes and something new are being experienced or implemented precisely on the periphery. Then this new thing comes to big cities and in this case the states.Official confirmation of this news is not, but if we assume that it is actually as written in the news that I am very happy for this state and the people living in it.They are one of the first to start using cryptocurrency legally. It is from this state and begin drastic changes in the entire industry.

Rhe state accepting cryptocurrency as a currency is positive news and would endear its residents to own and use cryptocurrency. But people do not need bitcoin to be declared official inorder to use it for purchases so far it's not illegal within that state.
