Title: Please give some light on XRP
Post by: expertofexperts on February 07, 2019, 07:01:51 AM
I am holding XRP since 1 year or more i think. It has fallen since then as we all know. It is now around 0.30$ per xrp.

I have seen people saying over here that it is kind of ponzi scheme. But i have seen in India as well, they have gone under contract with Axis bank. Even they are hiring many well known leaders. It has office as well here in India. Some say it can replace SWIFT technology.

Still can anyone here shed more light on it. Shall i hold my coins? Is the company legitimate enough to hold money there? I dont mind hold it for years long.

Continue to keep, falling due to a complete market correction, this is not an indicator. A ripple over time will get more and more partners in the face of banks, so it will grow further and not be afraid.

If you're not confident anymore holding XRP then you have to sell it to remove the doubts and stress that it is giving to you. XRP is centralize that's why many don't like it. I don't hold it and my suggestion to you is just to dispose it and move to a better coin or buy the profit you'll get there with bitcoin.

XRP is owned by Ripple labs(https://ripple.com/company/). If you're confident holding it for a very long time then just hold it. Before investing to a coin, you should have at least basic knowledge on what you are buying.

XRP has a very interesting structure. The price is not as predictable as other coins. I'm sorry for you on your behalf you've done a very long time HODL and unfortunately this process has experienced a great retreat. Applicable to other coins in the valid for XRP. The market must enter a general uptrend.

No, it's not a ponzi scheme. It is a very reputable company, as can be seen from their history of years of working with major international banks. Ripple for me is the most professional and reputable company involved in crypto. A lot of people don't like it because it goes against the anarchist ethos, but if we want crypto to enter the mainstream, then it is companies like Ripple that will do it.
There is a distinction between Ripple the company and XRP the token, but I for one am convinced that XRP as well as Ripple will be a huge success.
I would advise to keep holding, and yes do so for several years.

That's agreeable mate, xrp wasn't doing so well during these days of bearish market. But for me every situations isn't always downwards, also it will always possible to recover in the right time. For now the market really needs to gain back again people's trust in order to become uptrend again. We must help each everybody's community so that xrp holders will not turn their back, and give up what they been working for so long. Hold and don't let go, that's the best way to do it.

I am planning to buy some more ripple. The market conditions generally has affected the coin. Even though it can't be taken seriously as a cryptocurrency due to its centralized nature, ripple actually has gone far with partnerships and it will definitely impact positively on the overall coin price

A big rumour about the manipulation on the ripple market cap has become the main concern for everyone right now. It's not about how to get more partner but you should consider from the technical reason the good and bad things on ripple foundation. A lot of ripple still not yet dumped by the developers.

I wouldn't say it's a ponzi scheme, but this is a bitcoin forum, and a lot of members here hate coins that are centralizes and control by bankers.

Still can anyone here shed more light on it. Shall i hold my coins? Is the company legitimate enough to hold money there? I dont mind hold it for years long.

Well, you still have your coins so you're not losing any money here. I usually don't give financial advises, but I would say that XRP is worth to hold for a long time. Don't sell it, just hold as long as you can and wait till it goes on another bull run.

I do not think that xrp or ripple as a company is operating as a ponzi scheme the only issue that some people take negatively is the huge supply of xrp that is held by the company by as far as it is locked i do not think that is a big issue and i think xrp price will recover surely over time.

no, it is not a Ponzi scheme, XRP is simply a centralized shitcoin with a huge supply and no future as an investment.

the only thing that XRP is good for is the short term pumps that it has once or twice a year sometimes. other than that, 99% of the year is a downtrend because as i said it is a shitcoin.

all the news you hear about such and such bank going in Ripple is about its technology not the token itself called XRP.

I only can say keep holding your XRP if you are still stronger than the others. But if you think you are done with XRP and wants to change with the other prospective coins, then you can sell right now, but I don't think you can make a nice profit. I think you have done a good work by holding for over a year and I think you can hold it this year while I am sure the price will increase again. But it's up to you because that is your XRP and I hope you can think twice before you decide to sell because you are too long to hold XRP.

I personally think that ripple is one of the good coins and established coins. Different people have various opinion that are different. But ripple is doing very much well as compared to other coins like ethereum, and stellar. Its price has not gone down so much as compared to other coins if we look the state of cryptocurrency in the recent past and now. It is being supported by banks. I am also planning to add more XRP.

Yeah, I think you should still hold the Coin XRP that you have. Because it will be better than you sell it now.
We know that XRP is a coin that has good prospects in the future, even XRP was in second place at coinmarketcap.com .
and for now the market is in poor condition. all coins are in a dump condition, Even with Bitcoin too.
So, you should still hold your XRP and keep patient.

Despite all today's manipulations with the help of news, XRP is a top-end project with a good capitalization, with a quality product, so that it will still be in demand. So just keep it in perspective.

I also have few amounts of XRP and I also hold it now. Just hold your XRP mate because we know it is one of the strong cryptocurrency in the market which also have huge volume. Many companies already accepting xrp so there will be a time the price will go up so just keep on holding.

Xrp has nothing to do with Ponzi scheme.

Xrp coins are mostly Holden by ripple company, so that company can manipulate the price a lot. You probably bought in a bad time, but the fundamentals of ripple are good.

Santander and other big banks are heavily involved and invested in ripple. Ripple will be providing services for banks, reducing swift and other transaction costs. It's no surprise that it is the second coin by marketcap

Agree if you keep holding XRP, look at the market and various exchanges, XRP will enter in various exchanges. This is good progress to build popular coins that are present, don't doubt the XRP so you will get a long-term investment advantage.

XRP is a good coin mate since it made a good performance that time before the market struggling .for me XRP  is better than eth  especially when it comes investing for long term. Because eth is much stagnant than XRP probably this circumstance is just a coincidence, because xrp became cheaper and struggling as well due to this long bear season . Just don't lose hope mate just put more patience instead if you have no another choice!

Its centralized and yes, it can be manipulated anytime. That is what centralized means in a deeper thought. ;D

If you are already having doubts then why the hell are you stressing yourself? Dump it and look for something new. Something where you will be calm about having it.
Better look for a long term kind of crypto currency.
I dont say XRP is a short term investment but with that kind of attitude you will just have sleepless nights.

If you are a person who has just come to the cryptocurrency market, now you just need to try not to rush to conclusions and think carefully before investing anywhere. In general, XRP can be considered in the medium term.

Its not someone told me or just bcoz it has so much capital in market, makes it a non-ponzi scheme. As most companies run only after gathering too much money. Most politicians invest in such companies through back door..

all the news you hear about such and such bank going in Ripple is about its technology not the token itself called XRP.

This ^. It’s not that Ripple is good or bad, but that it fills a niche. Banks would never get involved with a fully decentralized cryptocurrency, Ripple provides a tool for their business.

My issue is with XRP. I see no real correlation between the success of Ripple and the investment potential of XRP. Ripple deveoped XRP as a proof of concept to market their tech to banks, and released it into the wild to survive on its own merits. Holding and trading XRP is effectively hosting a free tech demo for Ripple. One in which Ripple has a vested interest in having succeed... for now. Once Ripple is established XRP is no longer useful as a promo.

Even so, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing and XRP may survive and thrive in and of itself, which would be a testament to Ripple and their tech. However, I think the distinction between XRP and Ripple is lost on most and when the reality is made clear, XRP may not be the best place to have your money.

stand alone because it will give you results that are much more beautiful for the long term. Although now there is value enough lace, looking at the soaring price of Ripple in the previous year is high enough so it is not impossible it will be high again for next time. so I think still stand alone is a good option to take.

I don’t know if cooperation with banks is good for the coin, but it’s much safer than big companies. Another question is that all privileges are made not for investors, but for partners, and this of course is disappointing.

It is a pump&dump shitcoin. Dump it as soon as possible.

I don't say you won't be making any money if you hold it. You very well may get some fat stacks by holding it. Even bitconnect made x300.

Ask yourself this:

Why would they wanna replace SWIFT in the first place? I mean what SWIFT can't do but Ripple can? Both of them are centralized projects and whatever you think ripple does, SWIFT does it already.

Understand what exactly?

Ripple

San Francisco

Its blockchain based global settlements network aims to replace SWIFT, the interbank messaging platform that has long connected nearly every bank in the world. Ripple has also launched a service that lets companies make cross-border payments in XRP.

Is this your argument? I mean, really? Not a word from the FED? Nothing from Washington? A shitty article about crypto and 2 sentences for ripple?

Ok, Let's see what we got here:

The article says Ripple aims to replace SWIFT. A centralized project aims to replace another one. So delusional people like you expect the US to dump SWIFT and replace it with Ripple, a product of a private company.

There isn't a single a hint for that happening from the FED, ever, never.

And even if that happens what'll it change exactly?

Do you think the FED will let you to transfer your USD freely as you like?

You must be delusional to think that.

Only decentralized coins like Bitcoin (litecoin, monero etc) can bypass the FED, not ripple.

Your trust rating tells me everything I need to know about you btw.

I do not see any serious problems with XRP, he like all cryptocurrencies fell in price, the team is engaged in the development of the project, I think now is not the best time to sell.

Indeed XRP is a coin that has good development, seeing the performance and volume that occurs is quite strong especially in capitalization and has been shifted by Eth and returned to rank 3. I think to hold it back and get profits according to your will.

Rank 2 where?

I will say Ripple is going to be next gold in Crypto Currency world, I will suggest buy as many as you can because prices are low, 2020 it will reach $1000.

Ripple is future because it is organised and managed by professional bankers.

Remember my friend Today you have chance to buy ($2) but 2020 you will need $1000 to buy Ripple.

Note: I do not take guarantee of price boom etc however above prediction is totally based on rise of bitcoin and a bit of my market research, please take your own decision/risk before buying any crypto currency.

Cheers...

USD is about to go bust. What do you think will happen to the banks? Deutsche Bank, some Italian and Greek banks are basically broke. What good will customers be, that go out of business. Ripple is clearly a Trojan from the banks or more specific Goldman Sachs. Ripple is not open or decentralized, supply can increase anytime. Sell that garbage and buy sth like Ethereum instead. Or switch to Bitcoin and keep those on a ledger.

My favorite coin will take a big lead and will stay in the top 2 longer, this month investors will follow the development of Constantinople Upgrade.

I think he does not check the update on coinmarketcap and he knew that XRP was in the second position in a few weeks ago. But now, ethereum back to the second position and replace XRP but ethereum need to boost the cap if ethereum wants to stay at the number 2. The gap of the price between ethereum and XRP is not too big, and it could change again in anytime, so I think there is a battle from those 2 coins. We can see it later if there are movements from those two coins.

I think if you've been holding your tokens for so many years, you should wait. According to experts, during the next bull market, the capitalization of cryptocurrencies will grow much more than it was at the end of 2017 and we will see Bitcoin at $300,000. Sure, XRP could be worth $5 to $10 per coin by then.

Ripple price movements are difficult to rise because if there is no good development the price is difficult to rise, there must be good news from the ripple so that the whales can buy ripples again so that the volume of the ripple will increase and can defeat ethereum again.

and you must not realize that there is no difference between the two ranks because they are both fake and based on market capitalization of these tokens and both of them have huge percentage of premined supply which is helping to bloat up their market cap value and keep their rank up.
if you only consider their real circulating supply and exclude the premine then their "rank" falls down to about 20+.

Continue to keep, falling due to a complete market correction, this is not an indicator. A ripple over time will get more and more partners in the face of banks, so it will grow further and not be afraid.

Haven't they partnered all the banks already?
They keep announcing all those bullshit for quite awhile if those banks believe on what they are saying, those banks would have bought everything in circulation but its the opposite that is happening. More dumps in the coming days, you have been robbed. There are more to invest, look around.

No one can shed more light on the future of XRP because their activity is not transparent, the main share of the coins is in the possession of the developers and its price is constantly manipulated. In any case, now I would not sell coins, because in the future it could be sold more expensive

XRP is not a ponzi, but the concern is that, it is subject to lots of manipulations.
Apart from the fact that it is a centralized coin, there are some sets of people who are part of the team, that are holding the highest amount, which are huge in number.
That dies not mean you cannot invest in XRP and get your profit, but that i t is not advisable to hold for long.

But I had hope that very soon the price will increase again. From then to now, I holding XRP coins and I will be holding until it hit 3 USD plus again! XRP is a centralized coin and they are making crypto popular among the banks and other centralized sectors. So, this is not a Ponzi scheme to me, look at the rank and volume of XRP! Damn. Quite optimistic. Seeing your investment fall in value over time and praying for a recovery has been the situation for many investors for the last year.

I think it will rise back up in value, but it might take another year or so possibly due to the next Bitcoin halvening which could trigger another bull market. Patience is the name of the game here.

Ripple is one of the most promising coin and I'm not saying this without a basis.
I'm pretty sure holders of XRP despite it's decrease last year is still in profit now, we can rarely see this type of coins
which has billions of supply that reaches at least $1, it's a hidden gem IMO.

Now, if you still have doubt on the future of XRP, better study it's history and it will impress you.

I have bought this coin when it was 2.6$  but when it fall i keep adding if i have extra cash until it fall yo its current level i keep accumulating but as I keep doing research in this coin it is totally centralized since it is not minable and morethan half of its supply is still on its developer position so this may be prone to manipulation or may dump in the future. But with  the current price i guess there is still room for the price to goes up but I would not keep this coin for long term.
