From yesterday the price of bitcoin got increased upto $400 due to the speculation of ETF approval by SEC which made all the other crypto currencies to bump with the same level of bitcoin so which shows that if bitcoin prices recover all the crypto currencies will be able to recover.

Do you agree that?

bitcoin is the biggest crypto so it's very possible if when the price of bitcoin rises then all altcoins also increase. but for ETF there seems to be a delay, judging by some of the news yesterday it was difficult for the SEC to approve this.

Yes definitely the price rise of Bitcoin will improve the price of other altcoin, we have been expectant to see the rise of altcoin so if Bitcoin rising will do the miracle, let it keep rising then

Yesterday's growth is not related to this and if you look at the growth began from Litecoin. But I think that you are right and when this decision is made, the market will begin to grow.

Yes i think you have 99% right, but some coins will not grow because they are not what should be, and even not follow and respect roadmap and whitepaper in some cases, but yes legit coins will grow same time with bitcoin.

This us definitely true, because bitcoin is still to an extent dominant over so many cryptocurrencies. Which is why I am not surprised at such development.

At some point an ETF will be approved shouldn't really be a reason for everyone to go crazy, it could be many years from now if it does actually happen in the way everyone wants.  As usual when bitcoin goes up everything else follows, we are yet to see an alt that makes it's own path away from bitcoin so until then they'll rise and fall together.

Yes, it is the logic that lies between bitcoin and other crypto's mainly called as altcoins. It's just a speculation that ETF would be approved but looked on how the people reacted about that. We're starting to have that validation that people will be confident if there's an ETF.

But it's still a speculation and we don't know on how it would really make the demand higher to make the prices high. Just like what we've always saying that if bitcoin stays on high, alts will also stay at the top.

Only haters of bitcoin will dispute the fact that a rise in the price of bitcoin will pump most cryptocurrencies in their prices. This is because bitcoin shows over 50% dominance over the entire crypto market hence any price fluctuation also affects the other altcoins on the crypto market.

This event caused a temporary growth in the market, but I think it is too early to say that the recovery has begun. But you can't know for sure. I would like to believe that this is the beginning of growth. But we have no choice but to observe.

I strongly agree with that, because from the beginning I had the belief that bitcoin had a big impact on the market, just look at market history, the bullish trend always starts with pump bitcoin and the bearish trend always starts with the fall in bitcoin prices so I strongly agree if the bitcoin price increases Other coin prices will also rise, the market always follows the movement of bitcoin

I will be 50/50 for this. Because in past when bitcoin price is increased, people will sell their altcoins to get bitcoin and then exchange it into fiat. And this thing can cause dump in that altcoin itself.

The trend is generally like that ever since. Bitcoin will always be one of the major cornerstone in the market movement. But I don't totally agree with the rise of other altcoins. Altcoins with strong foundation can follow thru the bitcoin's movement but all the other crap ones should be left behind.

If you are referring to their value in USD, the answer is yes. The price of most altcoins is calculated by their value in BTC and the price of BTC itself. For example, if one coin is worth 0.001 BTC and BTC is worth $3000, that coin's price is $3. If the same coin is worth 0.001 BTC and BTC is worth $4000, that coin's price is $4.

You're correct, an increase in Bitcoin's value is an increase to other crypto currencies, but the changes might not be reflected at the same rate of increase.

Bitcoin is the father of all digital currency since Satoshi started it that's why it is understandable already that if Bitcoin pump then most of the coins would pump and back to their normal prices too. Unlike before that whales seems to manipulate the market too much by switching which altcoins they have to pump after dumping Bitcoin, but now it's not the same because they seem to pump a single token and they couldn't afford to switch both sides.

It is the basic principle in rising concept, when Bitcoin's price increases then the prices of altcoins will follow as well. It makes sense yet Bitcoin is like the main pair in crypto trading. Moreover, Bitcoin is the highest value among other crypto coins/tokens which becomes the basic benchmark. 

I do, bitcoin was ruling the crypto market since the beginning and that's the fact. I can't deny that even some people might have said if there will be on any correlation but bitcoin is everything for the crypto market.

Yes i agree Bitcoin  as king of cryptocurrency if their price increasing for sure the altcoiins will also increase their price at the coin market cap, because altcoins is the secondary support of bitcoin being decentralized cryptos.

Bitcoin is bound to be overthrown someday because of its outdated tech, yes for now it helps others rise but what about when the time comes that it is to be overthrown it will all fall again. TBH I feel like during this bear market another coin should have taken its spot... just shows how bad these founders of altcoins are for business.

Yes because all the cryptocurrency depend on bitcoin price. Once it start to raise, all other cryptocurrency will raise. Because if btc grows, altcoin does the same too.

I don't know where you get that $400. From $3400-$3700 so that's around $300 only.


But I would have to agree with you that if bitcoin made a recovery run, other crypto's will follow suit that will make crypto alive and kicking again. But sadly though, it looks like the momentum has dried down a bit as bitcoin price momentarily hovers around the $3600 price. So we need to wait a bit longer to see a nice recovery of the market.

Can't say for sure. We have seen such small pumps many times before, and it turned out cryptos dumped harder than before.

yes, even though it's not a definite theory, but at least there was evidence in the past. that if bitcoin rises, the other crypto will also rise and if bitcoin goes down, another crypto will also decrease.

Yes when there is a positive or negative news for the bitcoin it will affect all the market with same as the bitcoin price movement but it doesn't need to be forever like this,we have situation like all altcoins went down but the bitcoin bumoed up in 2017.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency coin in the world and has the highest coins among other coins, so in my opinion it will affect the movement of other coins and that is proven.
and nothing can exceed the value of bitcoin and there are only a few coins that compete but will not exceed the value of bitcoin, and when bitcoin goes up or down, other coins will adjust.

I am one of those who believe that if the price of bitcoin increases, it will move the prices of other cryptocurrency. This is because in my little stay in the crypto space, that is what i have experienced. Sometimes it seem to me that bitcoin moves the crypto market because once there is a slight change in price of bitcoin, you would notice it in the crypto market

Naturally all crypto will appreciate if bitcoin appreciate since alts are pegged to it. You can see alts as  bitcoin leverage that is, if bitcoin pumps, alts will pump more. But it is also true that if bitcoin dumps, alts will dump more.

This is the case, but just help Bitcoin will rise, ETF hardly. Therefore, it is probably worth expecting something more substantial.

no that is a false mentality that people had. here is what happens in reality.

when bitcoin rises, all altcons have to do is to remain the same price so that their stats on coinmarketcap show rise! this is fake as hell.
for example imagine a shitcoin that is worth 0.03BTC. if bitcoin is worth $3400 that altcoin's value on coinmarketcap is shown as $102. now when bitcoin rises from $3400 to $3700 that altcoin remains at 0.03BTC but coinmarketcap.com shows that it has increased up to $111

in reality that $9 or 8.8% was not an actual rise of that altcoin, it is only the rise that BITCOIN had!
that is why people think whenever bitcoin rises altcoins rise too. which is false.

of course lets not confuse the overall bull market with what i just explained. whenever bitcoin is in bull mode, there is a lot of money coming in the market as a whole. a big part of it is also then invested in altcoins (because bitcoin investors want a way to also invest their bitcoins to increase them) so altcons get pumped more during bitcoin bull runs.

We can't just say it already that ETF is the reason why the price went up a bit this past days, since this kind of price movement in cryptocurrency market is happening without any good news, it might be but there are lots of possible reasons. And I have to disagree with your statement that whenever Bitcoin price starts to recover or go up, altcoins will follow. We might see this happen frequently but that will not be always the same scenario, at the past there are scenarios that Bitcoin price goes up but prices of most altcoins goes down, this is because there are times that people are selling their altcoins to buy Bitcoin whenever there is a continues increase in price.

No doubt for that. When bitcoin rise, every coin will also rise, and of course, it will give an effect to the price too. The market will be on the bull market, and that will end the bear market. But so far, we are not seeing the bitcoin price rise and only get down. The last high price of bitcoin is at $3,6xx, and I think it could down again in the next week. Maybe if there is good news for bitcoin, the price will stay at a price now, or even it can increase higher. But I still believe that the bitcoin price will increase in the future although there is no exact time when it will happen.

Yes, because Bitcoin is a benchmark for altcoin prices. Many altcoins are traded with Bitcoin. So if the price of Bitcoin goes down then the price of Altcoin will also go down, but if the price of Bitcoin rises then the price of Altcoin will also rise.

Yes, my friend, you are completely right. Everyone who has watched cryptocurrencies in the last year and a half knows what a bull trend in bitcoin is. Bitcoin grows, leaves altcoins far behind and how they catch up with it, and it stabilizes at some level. This behavior has been observed in the past and is still repeated. So if bitcoin grows, then altcoins will follow.

Bitcoin is likened to a head of a moving train wherein other Cryptos attached to it when it moves other Cryptos pumps too however when there is a drop in the price other Cryptos dumps too, its not a surprise to me seeing btc pumping as well as other Cryptos pumping too as rumour if ETF approval spreads.

Indeed price of all othere cryptocurrency will rise as soon as the price of bitcoin increases in value and strength in the crypto market, we all know that the dominance of bitcoin to all other crypto is more than 50 percent in total of all the cryptocurrency combined with so bitcoin is really the king of all the coins in the market today and no crypto will reach or overtake the bitcoin dominance sooner than unexpected.

people always "think" that but when push comes to shove you see that the money always moves upwards to bitcoin and because of that we may even see a bigger altcoin dump as every investor pulls their money out of the altcoins to buy bitcoin so that they can make profit from the bitcoin rise.

yes its true i experience last year when bitcoin reach All time high value,  but that is if we are just talking about "bitcoin"
its also known as the mother of all crypto currency, plus most of all crypto currencies are tradable in bitcoin, thats why they get affected in a ups and downs of its market.
but in some cases' while i watching the market, i saw some coins that enjoy the downs of bitcoin, while they get affected when btc price got bump a little..
( i dont want to mention any coin i dont want others to get mad  )
so my real answer is " its actually on the coins project, team transparency, community involvement, and real use case

I also agree that the price of bitcoin will gonna rise up for sure all of crypto coins gonna rise up too. So it's better to hold some bitcoins because they always follow the price of it either it gonna pump or dump.

      Probably it carries all altcoins in crypto since bitcoin is the base of cryptocurrencies price but sometimes it will run as its own that's why in some cases , altcoin Will have its own bull run with bitcoin price remain its price.

This is how the crypto market has been operating for a long time and not because BTC is the biggest currency so other altcoins will have similar effects BTC.
The problem is that there are too many corrupt organizations involved in the crypto market and they have used a lot of money to redeem all tokens of potential ICO projects and all other altcoins to manipulate.
As the BTC increased, altcoins also increased because manipulation organizations made plans. ;)

Of course, BTC is the crypto.Without BTC the crypto is unimaginable.Most of the crypto members and investors dependent on BTC.BTC was their main crypto.80%cryptocurrency process based on BTC.So it will surely improve the market condition with itself.

I don't think it's always the case when BTC goes up all alts would follow. Actually I think over time we will see more and more decoupling of alts compared to BTC.
Also unless you are buying at yearly lows not sure if it's a good idea to hold forever as some of alts might be gone by next year.

most of the other cryptocurrency are dependent on Bitcoin price so every time there is a change on Bitcoin value then all coins will be affected but the rise of Bitcoin is also because there are some big investment in other cryptocurrency which lead to investors to buy more Bitcoin so they can invest in the altcoins they like.

Yes because almost all cryptocurrencies is pegged to price of BTC and ETH . So if BTC rises and your altcoin cost lets say 0.0003 BTC ( Currently its 1.09 USD ) and BTC goes to 6k USD range , then your altcoin probably still will be priced at 0.0003 ( but at this moment your 0.0003 BTC will be double value than before ) . It depends actually if your altcoin will be dumped or not .. But yea , btc helps to gain value for other alts aswell ..

It seems to me that there will be no negatives. Of course, sometimes it happens that altcoins prices fall because BTC prices are rising, but in most cases it is in USD equivalent that prices really rise.

For whatever reason bitcoin market will be rising, there are a lot of possibilities for new investors to get into this crypto space and they will choose both bitcoin and most other reputed altcoins too for the reason of diversifying their portfolio. If observed well, there's no dumped happened at all as the value in dollars still close, and momentarily the value will rise as well since bitcoin
lifts most of the good project inside the market, investment wise, each price rise should be take as opportunity buying cheap alts and hold
while waiting for the good timing as eventually the price will rise after bitcoin got a good steady barrier.

I strongly agree, bitcoin is the main reason why the market can be this big. it becomes normal if when bitcoin starts to move, all altcoins will be affected. if the ETF is finally approved, this will be the reason for the next bull run. and I saw yesterday's news that it seemed the SEC agreed to this.

I think the increase in bitcoin will have a positive influence on altcoin to increase the price, but it also depends on the quality of the altcoin, because not all altcoins are of good quality.

But if you look into the past, many low quality coins also got pumped along with bitcoin market because people are not bothering about what is the actual concept and what is the reason a coin is existing but they are all simply following coinmarketcap's ranking system and also the success of a coin is truly depending on how heavily it is being promoted among crypto community.

There is not much price bumped after that small quick bump until now but it is good that the price of cryptos were raised atleast 5% on most of the cases.Looking forward for the good market by this month.

Yes, I agree that Bitcoin rise is helping all crypto to rise. At the moment or I should say since the beginning of bitcoin, its been ten years, still leading the whole cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin was the entrance to many  startups and foundations to transform their applications to  blockchain technology. When we see the word blockchain technology almost all of us must think about bitcoin.In early 2018, bitcoin has shown the world how much market capitalization it is having.
At the moment, no other coin is even nearer to its market capitalization. Unless its not decreasing for bitcoin and at the same time other coin is reaching towards it, Bitcoin will lead the entire market along with all the cryptocurrencies.
Who knows which is the next bitcoin?

It is quite obvious, the recent increase in price for the past few days has enabled other coins and tokens to also rise in price, this is a very good development and I hope it continues this way.

Clearly the Increase in the price of bitcoin will drive growth in the rest of the coins. It has been 100 times in practice before. We have already seen this many times. The main thing is that Ethereum has already been approved, then there will be an increase in Ethereum.. then the rise of bitcoin and all the rest of the coins.

Are you kidding us? ;) Every crypto is tied to bitcoin very strongly. I can't imagine the rise of crypto market without the growing of BTC. BTC is a leader out there and it won't be changed any time soon. We can't even trade alts (to USD) without checking and understanding the situation with BTC.

For sure it will help to improve the market conditions. You do not need to be a market expert to mention that the market dominance of BTC is above 50 percent that means that almost every single altcoin depends on its price.

That's very true because when there was this news that bitcoin ETF could be approved in the near future i saw that most cryptocurrencies rose in value. This shows how bitcoin is strong and how we can also experience a bull run once a Bitcoin ETF is approved. Let's keep hope guys and not sell our bitcoins at this cheap price.

Cryptocurrency rally always start with bitcoin rise, BTC is the king of all crypto token, therefore when it rise, investors tends to convert there token into BTC, which always have a positive impact on such Altcoin as there will be impact on the altcoin been converted.

Yes I agree that if bitcoin price recovers, the price of altcoins will also improve. This is mostly because many alts are paired with btc and because spike in bitcoin price makes everybody feel better. So if majority are predicting spikes, altcoins will follow too

Why does this statement needs agree from us? Because this is reality and it's happening over and over again. Remember last huge rise when bitcoin went from 600 usd to 20K, it happened in some months with some fall and rises but it happened, every coin raised during this period. Especially litecoin, it absolutely follows to bitcoin, ether is a little bit independent.

A rise in the price of bitcoin will definitely lead to a subsequent rise in the price of the wall market and while some cryptocurrencies make it faster than bitcoin bitcoin is still the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation and will still be the major market mover on the blockchain.

The news about SEC Approving bitcoin Some days ago spiked the price of bitcoin and since bitcoin is  the most dominant Coin for now when There is a spike in the price of bitcoin legit crypto currency price would start increasing thereafter because mostly bitcoin is the deciding factor but i think the sudden increase in price started with litecoin few days ago

Bitcoin is the parent of other cryptocurrency currencies, so I agree that if the price of Bitcoin rises, the other Crypto prices will also rise. vice versa. Hey I'll second your point as it's proved over time that entire crypto market mirrors the trend of Bitcoins, if Bitcoins prices goes up then alts prices rally. I don't think that day will ever come that alts will rally on it's own, even despite their huge market capitalisation they fail to influence it. I do hope you have invested in good alts like ripple, ethereum cause others have a very short life span and will take forever to recover.

Most of the time altcoin is follow bitcoin price, check the market charts between Nov 2017 ~ Dec 2018, then you know that what's going on, everytime bitcoin price hard dump such as from 6K to 3.5K, that time whole marketcap is below $100 Billion, hope bitcoin price recover soon  ;)

The rise in cryptocurrency prices is always so dependent on how bitcoin movements as if it is there reference. Though not strictly true but generally bitcoin movements of prices affects most of known coins. If you would be looking at the graphs you can see it is very evident. But there were times that I have noticed when bitcoin did go down ethereum had shown to rule the movements of coins but it did not take too long bitcoin then takes over. I cannot recall that much but I think it was around the second quarter of year 2018.

Actually it's not all the cryptocurrencies that will be affected by the price of Bitcoins. There are so many altcoins that are not being traded against Bitcoin but rather Ethereum, Ltc or Neo. So the increase in price of Bitcoins will not directly affect them.
In 2017  we had what we call btc season and altcoins season. During btc season, btc will rise while altcoins will decrease, but during the alcoins season, altcoins will rise will btc will remain at its position or decrease.

That's right, the rise in bitcoin will definitely cause other cryptocurrencies to rise because bitcoin still dominates the entire crypto marketcap over 50%. This is the more reason why most crypto enthusiasts say that the bull run of bitcoin  would cause alternative cryptocurrencies to rise.
