In the morning i am just quick looking at Coinbase prices for Bitcoin.  Is there another better way to get a feel for what direction everything is going for starting the rest of the day??

My routine is to learn from different sources every day.  I don't always look at the same sources. I love exploring new sites and new analysis tools but there is a very nice site that I constantly look at and learn from, but website language is Turkish, because I'm Turkish :)

I'm first checking main coin prices (BTC,ETH,TRX) on Binance.
Then I'm reading the headlines @ CCN and CoinDesk. After that I'm checking few crypto signal group.
And finally I'm making a plan for the day - what to trade and what to skip.

Like everyone, My first lookout is coinmarketcap.com... It's literally the first place I look when I wake up. Next, I check the headlines for the day. Afterwards, I'm off to Telegram where I  am part of a trading community then I hear the opinion of other traders and the headlines from news sites couple with coinmarketcap.com data. I think that gives me a feel and heads up about an overview of the market. Although this isn't fool-proof, you should give it a try.

Other people's opinions can influence everything, I always ignore it because their opinions sometimes don't have facts.
You have to filter out their opinions and decide your own decisions. ;D

I typically go on Bitcoinwisdom (click for link (https://bitcoinwisdom.com/)) for a quick glance at how BTC and LTC are doing, and Coinmarketcap (click for link (https://coinmarketcap.com/)) for a glance at other alts like ETH. I've used Bitcoinwisdom for about as long as I can remember being in BTC, and the site's simple yet still functional enough with the indicators and tools offered on the site.

Tradingview (click for link (https://www.tradingview.com/markets/cryptocurrencies/prices-all/)) also offers charts and a basic overview for many crypto markets. I've just started using the site for its customizeability with the indices and scripts offered on the site, and it's definitely one of the top crypto charting sites out there IMO.

It's better to visit coinmarketcap.com daily because all altcoins and tokens in that site has already been listed so you can see their exact price and condition also.

I visited coinmarketcap, and Bitcoin is worth $3,627.68
immediately after that I visited Coinbase, and Bitcoin is worth $3,576

Why is there such a difference?
Is Coinmarketcap more accurate?

Coinbase shows the price of bitcoin at an exchange where the price is maximum,but coinbases is an separate exchange so there will be a difference between in the exchanges in terms of prices and sometimes the difference will be huge,you can use that difference to make money which is called arbitrage trading.

I usually look at blockfolio which is an application where you can see the price of different cryptocurrencies. Sometime I visit the coinmarketcap to see the full chart in some cryptocurrencies. Coinmarketcap is most reliable source if you look for the price of all cryptocurrencies.

I don’t look at the market everyday because of my busy work and I don’t trade much, but if you do day trading i think looking at the exchanges/market everyday is a must, just don’t forget to eat your breakfast because it can give you enough energy for the rest of the day.

You mean you will look at the price and you should "sense" the direction of where it will go?

Just a simple checking is not enough for a quick overview. So better stick with the daily price monitoring and just speculate later on if you now have a time.

Sentimental analyse is my favorite one after turning on my pc. After opening trading platform and checking last positions i look for closed trades. I personally check multiple forums for having idea about latest updates. For reading last news i mainly prefer forexlive,coinnews etc.

I need a candlestick chart to visualize the price action. This way I can see bullish and bearish trade setups and where price is compared to support/resistance levels and moving averages. I can also look at volume and various other indicators this way.

Check out Tradingview (https://www.tradingview.com) for some great free charting tools. The first and second tier paid versions are pretty good value as well (particularly for the volume profile tool), and are payable in BTC.

For daily update about the market im just waiting for notification  on this site news.bitcoin.com , but im not totally relying on it 'cause sometimes they miss an important news. So i preferred to make a technical analysis here (http://coinmarketcap.com) to assure I'm still updated whatever happens to the market.

Every people have their own way to get their daily overview.
Personally I have local exchange so I can easily maintain the chart every time I need.

it depends on what is the investment that we are made in this market if you are investing in Bitcoin you will need to check the Bitcoin price every time but if you are invested in other currencies there are lots of ways are available to check the current state and situation of your investment.

I think this is the sign that most people are too impatient of the situation at the market right now especially if you see such drops every week though it manages to bounce back a little bit but not too much. It's just a manipulation to prevent Bitcoin market from sinking again. And this is what they called a bull trap.

I always visit the coinmarketcap if I want to see the latest price of cryptocurrencies. You can see all and full detail about a certain coin in coinmarketcap and you can also see where you can sell that coins. If I want to see latest news about cryptocurrencies I just visit cointelegraph.

I use blockfolio app, in addition to checking the global average price, i also check individual prices on the various top exchanges, for arbitrage opportunities and a broader view of the market.
I am not a trader so i do not check the prices feverishly only coins which are in my holdings very so often.

I go all my daily information from blockfolio and coinmarketcap.  It has been accurate for me and most of the price action needed and charting are all available.  This too sites really makes things easier for traders.

To get an overview of the market you need to look at all the figures displayed on Coinmarketcap because this is where you can find necessary information. Based on that information compared to yesterday's fluctuations to determine its trend.

I make use of coin market cap to check the trend everyday in order to see how the market will go, I use them because they have good compiling of all the data/trade on diverse exchange and take statics by collecting the average.

Maybe me will like other people to use coinmarketcap. I think that site already complete to give information and chart for a coin in market. And then it can compiled with other site depends on that trader itself.

You cannot decide to determine the exact price if you see it on one exchange. You must pay attention to various exchange platforms and then draw conclusions about the price rates of Bitcoin. But if you trade on an exchange platform then you can set a price benchmark on that platform because you are trading various coins on the exchange platform. In my opinion the quality of an exchange will determine how the direction of the price of Bitcoin, good exchange will be more trusted to be a benchmark in seeing the price of Bitcoin is much more real.

Something tells me that Coinbase is playing with the numbers :P

Generally, I am careful to use the services that provide services in my own language, but from time to time I do not neglect to look at the data of global websites. I use the coinmarketcap service and the Coingecko service most frequently, and I am very pleased with the information and data provided by these services. Generally, I use the Tradingview service to get information about the analysis because this service offers much better quality content and analysis than other competitors.

yes everyone will definitely need some way of getting the information about the development of their investment so there are lots of sites and much more equipments available for checking daily updates of your investment for that we need to get the perfect site that will suitable for you then only we can make the right decision for buying and selling.

most of the time I will check the price of my investment online few times in a day it is enough for me but while exchanging we need to more careful and more active that stage it will helpful to make some more extra amount with your profit

Cmc i think is better for checking daily movements and that's the first i check before the exchanges that i have coins in and my local wallets. But mostly its through cmc.

don't just make one exchanger as a benchmark for bitcoin prices, compare it with some other exchangers, or you can see it at Coinmarketcap. of course they are more trusted.

just follow the prices before the end of the day or check the price during hours when Asians wake up and then also check the prices when westerners time to wake up. its like the start of every session in forex market, the new york session, tokyo session and the london session because that's when the prices typically change.

Trading view is good platform to analysis price action of all asset include Bitcoin, and we can compare our prediction with others expert trader there. We can also communicate with others trader, so we can learn about technical analysis with others. And to analysis fundamental of each crypto we can go to crypto tracker like coinmarket cap, livecoinwacth, coingecko etc.

You can go to the coinmarket site and set the graphs for one day then you can see the market movement for the last 24 hours.But if you want to start day trading then you need to go to exchange and use their indicators for much detailed overview.

I'm using Blockfolio in order to see the current price of coin I'm holding. Also, I can put the amount of my holdings for each token. Thus, I can monitor if my portfolio becomes lower or higher. It's easy to use and always update every single minute.

I have the Binance application on my smartphone and I can say that is all I need for looking unto the price of bitcoin and altcoins I support.

For new tokens from ERC20, you will need to join a telegram channel since mostly they are not yet listed on coinmarketcap.
Well everything now can be found thru internet so it wont be a problem.
Most updates though are faster in twitter too.

Just for prices I just type in whatever coin I am wondering on my telegram chat, our group has a bot that basically tells you what the price of a coin is if you ask it and that is enough for me, all the other ones have ton of other coins and I just wanna know the prices of couple of coins that's all.

For news, I come here as well but mainly I go to reddit because the r/cryptocurrency has a lot of great worthy news, the difference between reddit and here is that here you see posts with the latest response but in reddit you see posts that are upvoted the most, that metric of voting allows the best news to be promoted and worst ones to go down even if they have a lot of chat under it.

Honestly, those 2-3 things is enough for daily unless some major thing happened, if a major thing happened I usually go to twitter and try to see if the people I follow and trust commented on that or not.

In my own aspects I follow some crypto professionals who know the ways in the market and also get some news trends on telegram and other social media that is base in Cryptocurrency.

Following on professionals is not a good idea because they are only predicting it just like you  . i suggest do your own research because you will only know whats good for you .  you dont also need to blame others when you loose because you dont follow their strategies . same as following news on telegran and social medias   . many fake information are now scattering around the web  , so please dont just believe on what you see online   . they might trick you for their own benefit .

In a very simple way, I usually review Coinmarketcap and only see the price of Bitcoin and the first 5 Altcoins.

Although I would review some in particular if I participated in a project or something similar, I previously enrolled in Airdrops and used to check the value of the coins.

Now it is very easy to determine, if the bitcoin goes down in price, I am pretty sure that the Altcoin went down 10% to 15%, due to the action that is dependent on the Bitcoin price. And if I want to study in depth I see the volume, and some other data.

In order to have a broader view of the market and predict the near future of the market fairly accurately, we should invest more time to consider fluctuations and deepen it into 1 and will carefully analyze it.
That's my way of doing things and I find it quite effective. Although I am a small investor, I often have very good results.

I agree. It's not reliable to just check on source, especially since, everyone of these sites and sources post different data at different rates with different focus. Therefore, as a cryptocurrency user, then the best option is to sew together all these information and make one big picture to look at in order to give you that general idea on how the market is currently doing. For me, I rely on this forum plus trusted websites that post up to date information on how the market is.

Join a community, so you will get a lot of information that is very important in the development of cryptocurrencies. You can join global and local communities, I'm sure when we often discuss and interact with other traders, we will be able to read market information better and faster.

If you want some basis on what way bitcoin is leading,.try tradingview (https://www.tradingview.com/). If you know how to read indicators, you will have an idea whether bitcoin will going to pump or dump. If you are about to check the direction every morning, that is the best chart to be used.
If you are not that familiar with fundamental analysis, there are some groups or enthusiastnin twitter that can give you speculations about btc's future price.

Just be careful whom you trust and not all will givd you precise information.

No, I won't advise joining telegram channels because that will be too risky unless you can find the right channels. Many telegram channels don't have good news for the market, and they spread the news because they have purposes of taking the benefit for themselves. It is better to check on the market directly so we can know what is going on the market and we can decide what we need to do related the situations.

^ You got it right and we are the same, I had been stalled in my mobile phone that app "blockfolio". Because the mobile phone is easy to use and very handy I just prefer to use this while checking my all crypto asset was there watching in any different exchange I put. When I face into my laptop I usually search coinsmarketcap site looking at how bitcoin moving and what is the current price before I start my daily task.

   I also check the price on the exchanger I use the most, YoBit.
But as it is known the price is always higher than the actual one, so I check it on Coinmarketcap from time to time as well.

I always start with coinmarketcap in the morning to get a quick look at the market, if I have open trades or orders I go to the exchange to see how the trade moves.

Coinmarketcap is so useful to me, since I get the latest price of my coins everyday, but of course this forum gives the updates on every news about cryptocurrency and not just the price but all the things that is happening around the world of cryptos and with bitcoin. Having an daily overview about the market can give you a hint where and when to invest, always be updated and don't just hold and forget, do hold and learn.

Coinmarketcap is very useful to take pictures of the market every day because of the easy access quickly and accurately after that if the market is in good condition and many opportunities I immediately open large exchanges like Binance to continue review in the next few hours, many quality and quality coins are an advantage in exchange supported by Coinmarketcap, where more coins are registered wherever they are, all are very useful for my daily life.

To find out the price predictions of bitcoin, you can download the bitcoin signal application. Application that can help you know the current price of bitcoin and the next day.

I just go to CMC for a big overview,,, there are so many fancy ones but they all need some app or some bookmark and I do not really have a big portfolio, I know when they moon anyway since Google will show me headlines but CMC is still the easiest even with all the issues and problems they have faced in the past,,, not like I am such a big trader.

Coinmarketcap maybe already fulfilled a lot of information that we need. Now, we don't need to look a lot of exchanger site to see price of a coin each site and it is not really waste more time again.

We have a different way to get a daily overview of the market, and I am sure that we can use the tools properly. We can try one by one of the tools, and if we already have one tool, then I think we can use the other tools so we can compare the data between each tool. I guess that we can get more benefits from using more than 1 tools and I am sure that we will see a hidden sign that happens in the market.

Crypto is going crazy, you can see info about crypto almost everywhere you look. Social networks, chats, groups, private groups, news, all sorts of news. Its not how you get the news or where, its how you analyze all that you read and see,  there are too much junk, there are many good things, our brain cant process everything. Point is to find project you are interested in and focusing on them in their communities.

Just make it a very hard way to access your account and i'm sure you will be less to just wake up and check all your portofolio. Instal the authentication and email in a different E-mail.

For me, CoinMarketCap interface is the best one: everything becomes clear when you open the site: the graphs, red and green marks, etc. I used other services as well, but no one of them seemed to be better than CMC.

I often do to find or find market images on CoinMarketCap and besides that I often look for news everywhere like in this forum or news anywhere about market developments even though it is not always accurate but will be a consideration.

The daily routine that i have developed in order to make a decision or a prediction about the next movement, is i take a look at the charts of the main coins like BTC/ETH and making a technical analysis based on trade volumes price movements and than i take a look at the news and see what are the recent factors that have influenced these price changes like companies involved with crypto regulation, and than i make it a habit to look through different forums and take a look at topics and comments to see what other people think and what they are doing.

There is really nothing extra-ordinary that I do but just follow my broker FreshForex with their Market Analysis, it’s something very precious and helps a lot with working for me. But of course, we also need to ensure that we have proper plans for everything, it will just not work right if we proceed without proper planning.

I am using telegram most of the time, they give you the markets of a coin, price of it, the news of it and then you can join the groups of any community you want of the coins you are following and the admins and the people will share news and so forth and you can talk with them about the future as well and what not. That is why it is the perfect place to talk with people in my opinion, you get all the information you want from any coin you want and in trading world the person who gets the info before anyone else gets to make the most money.

You hear a coin making an agreement with a company even before they make the agreement because the admin tells you they are going to a meeting and hoping to make a deal and you buy and then they return and say they made the deal and price goes up a bit and then they announce it and the price goes even higher.

it would be better if you can do research from various sources to get an overview to be able to analyze market price movements every day. if we focus on one source, then the possibility of the information we get is inaccurate because so far many sites are able to provide false information so that everyone feels confident with the analysis released, but from that situation they can easily take the opportunity

I prefer some analysis of coingecko to other sites daily updates. Coingecko has this trending drop down that makes daily market review easy. The trend drop down has the top 20 large market movers (containg the top 20 losers and gainers). They also give coins that are newly listed on exchanges and the highest volume token, several video links, ICOs, beam updates etc. It has a lot of information for the day and in less than 1hour you can have enough information
