I know it is basically impossible but what if, while you slept the bull run commenced and the price of Bitcoin climbs to $50k and then goes back to $3k just as you wake up. Then you see the charts for confirmation of what went down while you slumbered. What will you do by then? I want to hear your thoughts on this.  ;D

I don't think that would happen. It is absolutely impossible to have finished overnight when there is so much expectation. This money is not for 1 night.

This is not a bull run, this would be a pump and dump, and in the terms you are suggesting in your scenario it's impossible for that to happen.

If this really happened, I'm pretty sure that it's a exchange error or people mistake bought the coin in high price, but I'm sure that it's won't happen in real life, so I don't care it and I think a lot of investor will cry.

  That wouldn't really be considered a bull run.  It would probably just be defined as a spike.

And in what way do you call that a bull run, that is only the bull jump. Bull run will don't just start and end overnight that's impossible, just like taking a real life bull to run and expect him to make the run within 10s that's not it, it has to start gradually so it can be call a bull run.

the comparison that you show is unlikely to happen to bitcoin in one night and that never happened in the history of bitcoin's rise and fall within 24 hours, this bitcoin trade that requires large funds to do that much pump and that is not possible.

That's should be a pump and dump scheme, that has no any fundamental support to keep the value of bitcoin. But i guess if that was impossible. I will try to get the bottom because that's the only my chance on it. But that's impossible to be happened.

I don't think so, if the night is pumping and tonight is also a dump, but I don't think it can happen if there is pumping there must be a lag time.

Dear OP, bull run starts slowly and steadily with some corrections obviously. You will see higher close price in comparison to previous day. And that will persist for a while. Obviously bear market persists longer than bull market. Try to read news upon crypto market on daily basis, if possible try to google it hourly. Start digging and you will also find some important news portal and I hope you will not miss any important news.

It may be possible as in this world we can't see the future.
But if that will happen it is not a bull run but a bull trap which so many people will be left losing.
That is why we should have the knowledge and watch the market!

I will probably sleep once again and check the market when I wake up. If its doesn't move up to $50k, I'd thank god that I haven't gone mad yet.

We all know cryptomarket act differently but come on! Its not possible, no one in the right mind will suddenly pour a lot of money into crypto like giving it away to you. The market will test your patience that you'll gone crazy waiting.

Lol This should be the biggest joke of the century. That hyper spike to about 50k$ and dump to 3k$ sounds like a fairy tale. I understand it's just a what if statement, but definitely it's never going to be possible. The market is volatile, oh yeah, but not to that extent.

You can't call it  bull run if it only happen in a certain day because we all know that bull run known as long period of uprising price of cryptocurrencies. Always remember that cryptocurrencies are volatile where the price will increase and decrease and one day bull run is very impossible to happen.

I believe that the bullish trend will return, and we will get the profits that we are waiting for. Hope, all of my alts will not fall again but gain pretty much this year. Bull run will be many months.

pump or dump market conditions will never be able to know, and in each country has a different time so if your country every night then maybe other countries can pump every morning.

I don't think BTC will climb to 50k and came back to 3k in one night. But there are runs like we saw last week when BTC jumped 3400 USD to 3700 USD in short span of time and is now steadily coming back. Such runs are very common with BTC.

if indeed there is a pump in one night it would be very good for those who know it. I might be a person who regrets not being able to feel that moment. but it's all just a dream and won't be real. never before was a big pump that lasted only one night. pump is done for days because that's what everyone wants.

It is really impossible to happen, but let us assume your given situation, a huge percentage of the holders will be benefited with that situations and also there are lots of holders will be regretful if that will happen.It is really impossible that the bull will only happen for a couple of hours and it will disappear within also a couple of hours or maybe a minute.

Hmmmm, I am sure some people may want to commit suicide or hit their heads against the wall in regrets. It is best I don't have such an experience because I will feel terrible.

it was impossible, no pump lasted for one night. the market will definitely be very noisy and many people who think it's the worst manipulation and surely it is the failure of the Whales to keep prices up.

If that should happen, then it will be taken in good fate as one of those things that happens in life and business. Moreover, a holder is seen as a business person and a real business person wont kill themselves for a missed opportunity but rather wait patiently for another.

Which type of bull run is that? Run a day and ends overnight. We will tie the bull down. With all the days we have been enduring bear market and the bear did not run a day and end at night. that's why we have to put on some alert to not lose the right time, if the bull market lasted only one night i would try to change all my altcoin in fiat or at least in some stable coin...

We can't call that a bull run if it will end suddenly within 24 hours which is it will be a small bump of price only like what always happen in the growth rate especially  when there's an adjustment of price which temporary and will fluctuate again back again to the resistance.

very impossible. it will never happen in crypto. for me, it's just a waste of time. why would they raise the price of coins for just one night? and not only that, you see the exchange, what is the total calculation of bitcoin if you buy it in just one night? and if bought all, it is impossible to involve only a few people. because at night, almost all the whales are sleeping  :D.

Unless you are planning to go to sleep for 6 months or so, thats not gonna happen. It takes time for the bull to start and end. If you can remember how 2017 bull started, it kept gaining constant for around 4 months before really exploding.

Actually it is very possible on the exchanges with little volume :) It is enough that someone will make typo in buy window (let say two zeros more) and if he have sources can buy all orders up to $50k :) To make it on the whole market it is impossible :)

for such cases, there are pending orders exists. if you really think that this is possible then just put a sell order and sleep peacefully

I do not think that it was a bull run. It is just a regular market reaction of positive news that ETFs are probably going to be approved. When they are going to be improved, the next bullish trend will be officially launched.

For long term holders, this has nothing to impact. Only active traders may regret for not putting selling orders as most people are moving out coins from exchanges when they will not be having idea on when to sell. This is just a imaginary questions but I do see these thing happening with few altcoins but in lesser ranges.

Even if you imagine this situation, I would be happy to Wake up. Because I have orders to sell to that number. It would be a good morning, looking forward to when it comes. ;)

If the bull run started an end one night I think it is wise to wait for the next one as we are not going to get one bull run. I think in future more next bull are going to come up that you should be awake and make money from it.

It seems to me that the cryptocurrency market will begin its growth very gradually. There will be no sharp jumps up. I think it is even better.

Based on market price history it's impossible to happen because there are not too many whales to pump the price of Bitcoin and other prominent coins in the market, they increase gradually sometimes the price stays for weeks or even months.

For short term this is possible and  we have seen such sudden jumps in bitcoin price. Money hunters who wanna to get rich overnight will die from heart attack thanks to your imagination. I don't deny fact that volatile assets don't have only price limits also time limit is other thing from my point of view.

Then I will make sure to wait that time and place my order sell in that price or lower than the price. With placing the order sell, I think I can get a lot of profit so I can wait for a while to see the price will get down too deep after it increases. But I don't think that the bull run will only be started and ended in one night because there will be many people will shock, and they will place a fast buy and sell order because they don't want to be late to take a profit.

i think something like that will never happen. a 24-hour bull run just makes no sense and would be too expensive for the people pumping the price. but should something like that happen, i would be very disappointed that i missed the bull run.

Absolutely, if that really happen it might be just because someone tried to fish people to pull up the price of bitcoin by making small amount of bitcoin in a really high price, so other people think the bull run happen with that spike on the price.

Yes, this often happens when buying coins at cheap prices. And when at night I bought a coin, but I fell asleep and after waking up in the morning the price of the coin had fallen. But this is not always what I experienced, I also experienced overnight the price of coins could go up very high.

Yes, it could happen, cryptocurrency is indeed full of surprises, if we have entered in crypto anything can happen and we must be prepared in good or bad terms the most important thing is to still be sure the cryptocurrency will provide something good for us in the future

It is very impossible. When we talk about bull run means btc is rising and up trend so that it will be influential in the next day and if as what you say it is not a bull run but more to the flash pump that exists only in a matter of minutes or hours.

I think this is like raising prices and this is very common in the trading market. Prices can rise overnight and prices can also go down overnight. And I agree if it's not Bull Run, it's only pumping prices.

I think bull trap is the correct term for this. If the bull run will start it will last long not foe only one night. There is a lot of bull trap before and it is all end up to losing, because there are do many crypto lovers who buy it  for the amazing prices will loss in the next days because of the continuous dropping of the price.

What OP saw in Altcoin pump and dump coins thinking of it will happen in BTC. But BTC market is not sleeping and if their is sudden jump like this then automatically the value of Bitcoin will die as it will become an another scam shit coin. which is highly impossible.

I think we have often seen such movements happen in cryptocurency trades before, sharp rise and fall in price of Bitcoin and altcoins. The question should be, how long enough should green candles last before its called a bull run

It is clear that it is no longer called a 'bull run' but is only limited to pump and dump. In short, bull run is a condition where the crypto market is experiencing up trend.

Yes, that will be classified as spike which is normal for any markets but OP is mentioning about some unimaginable ranges which may not be happening in real markets. I remember in late 2017, BCH was bumped up to 0.5 BTC over the time and when I checked in my day time it came down to around 0.3 BTC levels which is the incident strikes in my mind once I did see this topic. Everything is possible in these markets but I guess these peculiar fluctuations cannot be considered as "missed opportunities".

There are multiple variants on "missed opportunities" while we are trading and the most hurting one must be, missing out big profits even were aware of market reversals like I did miss the $19.5 levels of bitcoins. I was planning to ove my bitcoins into exchanges to convert into tether to lock my USD profits but I hesitated as I was expecting market to test $40k and missed that opportunity very badly and holding my bitcoins till now.

If that is really happening, i will get frustrated because i missed the chance for riding the bull train.  :-X

The bull run is not just a market where the prices of all coins increases at once, its a steady and gradual increase over a period of time. Some coins even take up to 3 weeks before they start responding to the market increase trend.

     There can be no time for a bull to hold only one day (one night). It will never happen like this. Bull run is a long period of growth of cryptocurrency. It is not a feature of cryptocurrency to have high fluctuations for top coins overnight.

If the bull run begins and ends in one night, then it is imperative to have time to do everything in order to get the maximum profit during this time.

Impossible. That's not a bull running, how do you expect a coin to moon overnight and call that a bull run, it won't even affect any of the altcoins since it overnight, that's just not right to be call bull run.

Something like this can indeed happen but you cannot call it a bull run though. The right word would be something like a "big buy" or "sudden rise". A bull market doesn't happen overnight, it builds up gradually but surely and might have some faster rises within it.

The situation you described is impossible. Bitcoin is not some little-known token that can be dumped very strongly and quickly.
To catch up with Bitcoin up to the price of 50,000 dollars overnight, several hundred billion dollars are needed. There is no such money from one person or organization.

I have an alert about the rise in prices for those coins that I trade. With the help of a beep, I can hear that the price of my coins has greatly increased. Therefore, I will have time to react to the increase in the price of Bitcoin.

What you just said is literally impossible because the price of bitcoin or any other tradable currency with the market capitalization of bitcoin cannot rise by over 1000% and go back to the initial price in just a few hours and even if it would, it cannot be for a coin the size of bitcoin.
If bitcoin can rise by that much within a few hours there is no way it will come back down to 3000 unless it is just a pump and dump but the reason why it is almost impossible is because for pump and dump in the whales to be on board to make it happen but in case of bitcoin nobody has enough power in holdings to move the market with that much margin in a very short period of time.

This will not be a bull run. Although they are fast, they are not hares. This can simply be called a price surge, and no more. However, such a high level of price increases does not happen even in cryptocurrency. Therefore, you can sleep peacefully, you will not oversleep a large increase in the cryptocurrency market.

I've seen crazy pumps and dumps like this before.
It actually used to happen frequently in 2017, especially with altcoins.
Most of it was a result of market manipulation, but there were some genuine hyped up fomo too.
For example, when bytecoin was released on Binance it had a crazy 800% jump in value in half a day.
Then by the next day, it had already lost more than half of that value.

Now, with the market how it is, these things rarely happen, there just isn't enough trading volume going on.
In the traditional stock market, the trading is all crunched in from 9:30am to 4pm (when it is open).
So this forces all trading volume into a small time window that can cause stocks to swing rapidly.

However, with crypto, since it is spread out accross the world and not one single exchange dominates everything, it is hard to bring up the numbers.
Unless the overall sentiment is good and money is pumping in, the value doesn't move much.

It's not yet happened but I can't imagine it happening if this scenario happens we will have all crypto hodlers and traders glued on the market or people alternately watching the bull market to occur, but I highly doubt it's going to happen, because since the start Bitcoin price is moving like a snail.

It's kind a impossible for that idea to occur for just overnight. It's literally impossible in my own personal opinion because the dumping and pumping of a coin really takes time but since we have the saying that anything is possible then I guess there will be lucky holders and traders that could gain and be a millionaire for just an overnight.

If anything like that happened, it wouldn't be called a bull run, it will be called a pump and dump. The terms bull run and bear periods are noticed when there is either a continuous fall in the market or a continuous rise in the market. It doesn't have to be a huge price rise.

If something impossible happened like that I will have big regrets not waking up when the opportunity knocks because its an event that crypto users have been waiting. Nevertheless I already missed it so I have no choice but to wait for the next bull run.

I won't worry about it,  I have missed a lot of short bull runs in some tokens in my wallet. Some went up as far as 500% before falling back yet I wasn't aware to sell.

       It is already happened in altcoins which it was at night time in southeast Asia where my country was belong and it's at daytime in Europe , so its good for European while it's unlucky to those who are in southeast Asia , but don't be bother on that situation and just continue  in trading business .

it is not possible that way, when we talk about a bull run, we mean a massive input into the total cap of crypto currency, it will take approximately over 2-14 weeks for bitcoin to climb up to 50k$ and in that sense, coming back to 3k$ cannot happen over night.

A bull run is a steady rise of the price through out weeks/months.
Again, this kind of short burst is actually unhealthy for the market. This is something we all don't need at all.

This is never going to be called a bull run. Imagine when there was a flash trade of ethereum at around $14 on Coinbase. That was just a flash, but not a true reflection of the growth trend of ETH. Also, if as you said, bitcoin goes to $50,000, the cumulative prices of of btc on different exchanges listed on market cap sites, is what gives the general price of btc. Which means that the $50,000 or arund that amount must reflect on all exchanges. If that happens, it cannot  fall so easily to $3000.

This is very funny. even though it can happen in a ratio of 10: 1, I think everyone will have a huge regret if all that happens when we are asleep. now most of the bitcoin holders are choosing to save their assets. rather than having to make a sell order. yes, regret will be felt for everyone who doesn't see it.

I think it could be possible to happen. Maybe you remember that when the price gets a pump from all traders, many people will make a fast buy and sell and they don't care about the price. They only care about how they can use the moment to make a bigger profit, and they still chase the price no matter if the price has rallied to the higher price. This will makes the market run so fast, and of course, the price will also increase so high.

I don't think it would go so high as 50K. It would maybe increase by 1K in one night at max. If you look at the bull run from December 2017, Bitcoin did increase each week 1-3K max. If there is such pump and dump scheme, it would be near the death of the coin as the price would be surely lower that the start price. Look at what happend with ZCL. It was a respectable coin in 2017, but after the exagerate pump and dump scheme, it transforms itself into a scam coin.

If you see the price bitcoin at January 2017 just had $900 but the increase happened per month till at desember 2018 the price of bitcoin reached $20.000. The price of bitcoin was very hard to predict, it would be better you have a target when you should sell your bitcoin, if you just waiting for the price reach its peak I don't think you will get what you wanted, don't be greedy sell as long as you get benefit.

It is definitely a very bad thing. I used to invest in a token called WPP. I have rated it quite low and only sold for $ 0.012. after i took a nap, its price peaked at $ 0.02 and i sold all my tokens at the bottom price. It is definitely a very bad feeling.
