Title: Private phone numbers
Post by: OmegaStarScream on February 15, 2019, 02:13:09 PM
I can't seem to find a service that provides private phone numbers to receive SMS or calls. It should be unique and never been used before and will never be used as long as I'm in control of the account.

The main purpose is to just make a new Telegram account while keeping it totally under my control.

Can't you use one of those wifi texting apps like Textnow or Google voice?

On simple googling I see a service and I guess you should take a look onto it too https://hushed.com, though I never tried the service yet so I can't tell more about them only its a paid service.

That kinda dissolves the point of having a phone number lol I mean why can't you just walk into Tesco or something and a get a phone number? If you mean you need an anonymous phone number then I'm afraid that is legal. There are a number of online services which give you a phone number for receiving messages but again they're public.

You can have the same telegram account with multiple Phone numbers.

Have you tried using a service such as TextNow/Textverified to create a google voice account, and to then use the google voice account for your telegram account?

That way, you have a number that will always be yours...(AFAIK?)

Not sure if Telegram works with google voice though, as some services detect their numbers as VOIP.

Get a free SIM card from Lycamobile or Lebara  :P. They ship to you a SIM for free, it's a prepaid phone number, so if you want to keep the number just verify your ID, otherwise if you need it once only then don't verify your ID and they will close the line after a period like 2 weeks.

I am using http://smspva.com for receiving a telegram verification and they have a feature that you can rent a number only for specified services from their page from here http://smspva.com/arenda.html
And I think they don't have an option to receive a call to the ordered number.

However, You can contact them to request a special phone number and I am sure they will give you a special phone number. I tried using their services without any problem and I already requested some services to add it on their list and they did it.

The good thing about their service they can also accept bitcoin as payment.

@BitMaxz, from their FAQ:

One number can be used for one service only once, but can be used for another services.

This means that he can’t reuse the number, even if it’s with Telegram. If he needs to login to his Telegram account again and doesn’t have a device logged in (e.g he uninstalled it, his pc/phone broke, etc), he will probably get locked out.

If you just use the service from activation tab you can use their service once but if you rent them you can use them until the rental time expired.

Take a look at this link http://smspva.com/arenda.html

Oh, didn’t see that. Still, I think he can get a better price from other services.

Hushed - mentioned above - charges $4/month for 150 SMS and 50 minutes OR $10/month for 250 SMS and 100 minutes. Meanwhile, smspva charges $0,5 per day ($15/month) and he’s locked to the choosen service (Telegram). If he chooses a USA number, it’s double the price ($30 month).
