The same way everybody else does: Choose your Bitcoin wallet (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet).

I recommend Electrum (https://electrum.org/), unless your internet speeds are great.

You need to register to use the wallet, and I think it's also very useful to use and it's very nice to have it later.

I recommend you to use wasabi wallet which is the best alternative for electrum. Since electrum still under phishing attack you can use this wallet in your MAC OS. Until electrum become clean and no phishing updates.

It is more secure and recommended by our forum admin.

You can find their website from here https://wasabiwallet.io/

This is a lie, what are you even talking about? Online wallets? Learn the difference.

Electrum (https://electrum.org/) had a phishing attack going on, but it wasn't vulnerable, only the users believing the fake message. Same as people receiving bogus emails, you should ignore and discard them. From v3.3.3 onward, Electrum no longer displays messages from servers so this problem is resolved.

Of course you are free to experiment and pick one of many wallets.

The "Light" wallets sync immediately, while others need to download the entire blockchain (which is approaching 200g). Although you are not required to keep the whole blockchain locally, you can help the Bitcoin network by keeping it, especially if your internet speeds are above 10mbps.

Download Electrum
Verify the signature
Install the downloaded file

Use it without hassle.

Before sending Bitcoin, pay attention in every window that appears. In any stage if you see that it's asking for installing update then don't agree with it. Just close the window and continue with your normal operation.

For better security, use a 2/2 multisig wallet with two different machine.

Cheers :-)

Electrum is the one that's been suggested by most users here, it is quite simple and has got the better security and the best UI that even a new user can make use of it without hassles. Apart from this it is your choice to go explore and find some other wallets in the market, because lot and lot of crypto wallets with varied features were getting added to the list regularly.

So, after 2 years not posting this OP is suddenly asking about a wallet, which I suppose he understands quite well since he looks like a miner.[1] He was accused of scamming too.

Either this account is hacked, sold, or OP suddenly lost his knowledge about crypto.

I personally prefer Electrum over everything else even my hardware wallet. I have several laptops so I can easily use the multisig wallet using those laptops. A multisig wallet is the most secure wallet.

I personally, used a Macbook and I was able to install Electrum without any hiccups.

Go here https://electrum.org/#download

And then choose OSX, very easy.
