Post by: W2014 on February 18, 2019, 09:20:28 PM
Hello, I found that this person created fake bounty campaign and put his referral link, kindly check it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111319.msg49800098#msg49800098

I think that ref link is not allowed on this forum :).

You are correct. Referral link spamming is against the rules, particularly if they are hiding it behind fake bounty and airdrop. However, this is an issue that is best dealt with by the forum moderators. Rather than reporting it here, it is better to simply report his posts.

It's good indeed if there are inappropriate actions that can be reported, because it involves many people who will be harmed later. as much as possible reported to the post and forum moderator. but unfortunately the link you sent cannot be opened again, maybe he already knows the mistake that has been made.
Thank you for the help and explanation you made. I think the problem is over by itself

Well, this probably happened, that he realizes that he made a mistake.
And and if he did not do that, he would get a negative rating?

Report the post with the message "Referral link in the message" and then leave it. There is no reason for making a thread on "Reputation" about it.

These reports are for the moderation team to take care of and once you have reported it you can breath of sigh of relief that you have done your part.

Posting a referral link is not a valid reason for a negative trust unless the site being advertised is a scam site. I can no longer view the message so I guess the staff has taken care of it and this thread should be locked.

I think OP really not aware about use report to moderator button. Promote referral is against forum rules and it will handle by moderators. I don't think red tag appropriate for promote referral if that is no scam or malicious. So next time please use report to moderator button and write your comment. For better explanation you should know how to report.

Please read this guidelines; [Guide] Reporting effectively (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4519248.0), I hope it will help you understand how to report. And create a new thread for such as reasons.
