A cryptocurrency trading event in BlockchainSPACE PH in Makati City started off the Crypto Mass Adoption Roadshow series that will bring cryptocurrency education events in multiple locations in the Philippines.

The event in Makati was the start of a series of cryptocurrency education and cryptocurrency trading workshop events that will also take place in other locations throughout the Philippines, such as Subic, Baguio, Bacolod, Davao, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro.

The event featured four speakers, who discussed about various aspects of the cryptocurrency market and cryptocurrency trading.

Did they actually talked about bitcoins and blockchain in this? It seems most crypto events are about selling some tokens. I had an aunt attend one and it's all she's been talking about for weeks. Don't hear about it anymore so I'm guessing the token failed.  :-X

If yes though, then that's good. Familiarize people with what the cryptomarket is about.

Oh where did they launch their token project and when it is been held and people in the crypto mostly try to scam each other but do not why they misusing the anonymous and many features available on the crypto industry.

Wow, I wasn't aware of this roadshow, if given the chance I would love to listen to those pinoy speakers. Interesting to note that about the second speaker, Michael Dee of Lazada, I think he can push Lazada, the largest online shopping in the Philippines, to accept bitcoin as mode of payment as well and get bitcoin closer to Philippines.

And just look at how much he earn during the crypto boom.  ;D.

The usual discussion will start on the introduction of Blockchain. That will include the definition, use, benefits, fundamentals and some basic information. While the discussion goes through, the main concept of the project will be introduced and that will include the token's or project name and that's it.

This is based on some of the crypto seminars I have attended in the past. Some of the events and seminars I have attended are NEM project and it's token based projects like LYC , coins.ph (the most popular local crypto exchange here) and just a usual seminar about crypto without involvement of any project (although some invited speakers are part of other projects).

I believed they implemented that back then. I even follow a tutorial about that although that time I don't have funds on coins.ph. It's just that I want to learn the procedure. Then I think years later, I looked on that method and it's not there anymore.

Hope they will implement that "again" soon.

I feel like I want to be in that country, where the government supports all new technologies that might be beneficial to its citizens, especially in terms of the economy. I hope this event can motivate other countries to immediately support the blockchain.

There aren't any prominent coins coming from the Philippines so they will be promoting crypto currency use in their own country. Their leader seems to be pro bitcoin so good times ahead for those guys

Yes, the event was quite positive in an effort to introduce Cryppto to the community. This series of cryptocurrency education events will help them as learning material and will benefit from Crypto's world information on various matters. It is hoped that with seminar seminars like that later cryptocurrency will be better known and interested in the community.
Such seminars are the most prospective in the campaign for the world of cryptocurrency by inviting smart and experienced speakers who are ideal for giving public trust.
I highly recommend this kind of event to be held more often to stimulate cryptocurrency technology to fulfill the future.

This is another great move for cryptocurrency mass adoption in the country, since there were like less than 30% (if im not mistaken) of people who knew what cryptocurrency is. Hoping to see this roadshow visiting more cities in the Philippines.
Anyway, from where this four speakers come from? I guess they are a representatives from a specific project.

I don't think it's already supported by the government but they're open with this. They just have some guidelines for conducting some conferences around the country otherwise the goal is to raise awareness and knowledge about crypto. Though token selling/buying will be like a side show and it's individual liability tho.

Philippines government hasn't given any legal support or an ban on bitcoin as well other cryptocurrencies within the country. It stands neutral to cryptocurrency usage, upon that these seems to be good for them to conduct roadshow. In countries where bitcoin is banned it'll surely create some legal issues.

That is a good one for people to be educated on blockchain and the digital currency in it entirety, but most time the roadshow is always about new token awareness and with the recent failure in most new token market that always result into people having bad image about the cryptocurrency network entirely. So any public education should be geared towards to blockchain and bitcoin in particular in that way the right knowledge will be pass in. The Philippines have always embrace cryptocurrency and hoping that we see more of this in the future.

i have once attended to an event related to crypto in makati with an ether group there. it felt like i don't fit in actually but yes they did a good job organizing a community. i might be joining once more if they do it in cagayan this time.


the government are worrying more on war on drugs and uniting politics and buildbuildbuild program, crypto might just be the last thing in their mind. but i see some entities mentioning blockchain technology on ANC news.

Philippines making its move. Makati as central business district, nice move. I saw that in a local news and I must say people are willing to invest time to learn cryptocurrency in makati.

Assuming that this is not a scam,I actually like the idea of combining crypto education events with crypto trading events(if they are really honest with the newbies and not trying to cheat them into some HYIP).
Perhaps we should have more events like this one in the USA and Europe.

It is really good news in upcoming days but still peoples are not aware in crypto adoption. So we encourage this good move, But market is not properly working so we can buy more Bitcoin and altcoin in this month then only market is growing well in future.

Can you elaborate more? I wanted to join in the future but why do you say that you are somewhat OP? It is about the ambiance, place and the people? Might be good though if there's some like a recording of those speakers so we can also listen even for those who didn't attend. Like other Filipino is this community, the country is making a good progress so I wouldn't be surprise in the next 2-5 years, a lot of blockchain experts will be coming into the country or we will have our own representatives in prestigious blockchain event all over the world.

I think before the roadshow start, the promoters need to make promotions on many places so more people will come to that roadshow. I see that there are not many people who come, but it's a big move from people on Makati, and I hope that it will continue in the future so we can teach public about cryptocurrency.

Besides that, I hope that in the other cities, there is a similar roadshow will start too so soon or later, people will realize that cryptocurrency will give benefits to them.

Though almost all cryptocurrency or blockchain seminars or conferences are towards promoting  projects but most of the seminars are taking blockchain to mainstream indirectly. This is a good news.

That is actually a great idea, going around talking about bitcoin on a roadshow. It makes adoption so much more humane compared to how digital it is right now. In today's world there are too many people trying to get adoption through internet and online world and trying to put the word bitcoin and crypto in front of peoples eyes on websites like facebook and google and youtube etc etc whereas one on one talks on bitcoin only happens in conferences that charge people hundreds of dollars per ticket and that is just not fair because only really interested people who want to network will go to those things which blocks the adoption a lot.

This way you can go door to door on shops and explain how much they can benefit from bitcoin adoption and could increase their revenue both in house and online.

I don't think there is a scam attempt or introducing an HYIP during their roadshow which would gather a lot of people where there were pro traders also who would like to attend on that. And they have mentioned some big names from one of the top online sellers in the Philippines, I really don't think there is a scam attempt on that.

More countries should follow this example to spread the awareness of most people in the country about of the cryptocurrency.

One of the essential processes of adoption is to let people know about the underlying technology of Cryptocurrency. It could make people think about what is the potential of technology to their life. Its good to see some southeast-Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Filipina are starting open to cryptocurrencies. Those kinds of roadshow seminar are really benefiting to trigger people curiosity about cryptocurrency.

Curiosity will bring them in, helping them to understand the future benefits of this system will gained their interest to join and ride with this new technology, we knew that with the help of this seminars people awareness will begin to be much wider, it can open their minds and make a good stand regarding to this uprising industry.

Exactly, The point of the seminars should be teaching the basic of understanding and what is the advantage over the conventional currency, I believe the foundation of cryptocurrencies are way ahead better than the conventional currency. So we just need to trigger their curiosity, and because the root of cryptocurrencies IMO is better, it won't take a hard time for them to realizes the potency of cryptocurrency.

The problem is, it wasn’t even been highlighted mainstream that the information of such event has not reached the ears and in touch of crypto users within the city of Makati and the nearest provinces. The media won't be interested in an event like this without the approval by their sponsors ”the elites, the bankers”. I have no doubt about the government measures on cryptocurrency as it is an open market.

Right, we all know that Pinoys are very curious so I'm sure that once they hear this kind of seminars a lot of them will join not individually but in a bunch. It just needs proper venue and exposure before Filipinos will eventually join.

I'm also not familiar with the speakers though, but it looks like they've been in crypto for a long time and we can say that they have the experience to share what it bring to them, in this way Filipinos are going to be encourage hearing their success stories.

I think that it is about time Filipinos get used to the block chain technology. Since most banks nowadays are pushing their customers to go cashless, then I do not see a hindrance to Filipinos adopting cryptocurrency. As I have heard, the government is already formulating the implementing rules and regulations including the guidelines regarding such. It will be a good step towards technological advancements for Filipino people. As we all know, Filipinos are already exposed to bitcoin and others, now will be a good time to take a step forward.

Is a start indeed, but we need more help to have mass adoption, maybe also governments who will accept crypto and not ban it, and also new people to learn about crypto and start using it.

That is the common problem to the other country, unsupported event.
Will to be a big start in our country( Philippines) for crypto adoption as our government allowing this to happen and give their support. This Roadshow event will help to introduce crypto and to prove that crypto doesn't scam as most people think about it.

It is goodcto know some people from the lhilippines are promoting blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Event like this should be given support to continue their crypto activities and help creates cryptocurrency awareness to all kinds of people. The Philippine government has already shown its support by allowing some bitcoin exchanges and bitcoin atm to operate in the country.

I don't really see any need for all this. Okay, cryptocurrency is good and I like it as well but one thing we all got to know is that even if the government decides that we are going to make use of cryptocurrency today, it is not going to be the ones we are using now. It's even possible that they will ban these ones and then produce the ones they want their people to be making use of. And these ones for sure are not going to be anonymous because they will need the banks to be able to trace your every move and know what you're up to and where you're purchasing online. Though there is nothing wrong with crypto education, uhmm it's a good idea.

Never heard of this event if i had i would have attended. Well this is a good event that promotes block chain industry in the Philippines and educate people how they can also take advantage of it. Mass adoption has a long way to go, hoping many more block chain events commenced not only in the Philippines but all over the world.

Same in my country too I have even had several seminars on cryptocurrency which I have also used to make money, because every participant pays money to get lecture on the use of cryptocurrency and how to make investment and turn their little amount to money.

This was what I firs used to lure them to create awareness and since then,I have seen several seminars and campaigns for cryptocurrency, most especially on bitcoin adoption, we have also had so many roadshows. Now I wonder why government is not saying anything about this again, because they do see some of these shows on social media and television.

The Philippines is truly a country with a strong response to cryptocurrency. I think this is also an opportunity and a challenge for people in this country. It is also difficult to earn money in the crypto market because the risk is quite high. If the entire population is involved in the crypto market, I think this is a big trouble.
Hopefully the education on blockchain and cryptocurrency will be good enough to avoid the worst cases.

If you are really that interested, you can frequent that board, it's very active and a lot of good info are being shared. It is just the beginning, The Philippines has a good IT sector and that makes it one of the best country in Asia to adopt Blockchain technology and expect lots of roadshows/meetups in the future.
