This count has been stuck for a while. Am certain there have been deletions since that tally.

Maybe they weren't deleted by the thread starter?  Have you tried to reproduce on one of your self-moderated threads (assuming you have one)?

The moderators very rarely delete anything in the Wall Observer thread. The moderators are deliberately hands off. They changed the "thread starter" a couple years back to infofront since the original OP was no longer active. The moderators had temporarily locked the thread a couple years back because it was a nightmare to moderate. Infofront was appointed to moderate the thread. When you try to report a post to the moderators, you get a big disclaimer that states they don't moderate off-topic, double posts, etc etc.

In the "This is a self-moderated topic" warning, stats will now be printed about how many posts have been deleted if any posts have been deleted. The stats start now, not the beginning of time, and they are cached for quite some time. If any of the deleted posts had any merit before they were deleted, then this whole stat block will be printed in bold. Currently the stats never reset; I haven't decided yet whether this is OK.
finally found the relevant thread
doesn't seem to say it has to be thread owner who deletes any posts
will ask infofront when/if he's deleted any recently
i deleted a post of my own some time after making this thread...

It seems updated on my end. Maybe you need to refresh or logout and back in or something.

I see that now thanks Pmalek.
Weird though, it wasn't updating before. Noticed it twice, nvm...

 - Only deletions by the topic starter are counted. Not deletions by the poster or by forum moderators.
 - The stat takes up to an hour to update.
