Tell me what crypto currencies to buy and why I should buy it

I have BTC LTC EMU RIPPLE right now and I am looking to get my hands on 10 more

This post is a part of my research

i dont think there are 10 more good ones out there, but if i had to:

ppc, nxt, anc, drk, myr, dgc, wdc, huc, one scrypt jane and one of those fully mined ones(pmc, c2)

...in that order.
i only have 3 of them in my portfolio.

why?

ppc: obv
nxt: obv
anc & drk: one might survive for anon transactions in case we dont get that included in a bigger/better one
myr: can be mined with !5 algos! one to make everyone happy. no gpu cpu asic war.
dgc: a bit older, dev that stuck around for quite some time and is still working to make this big. prolly other coins have that too now. one of the first to experiment with a fair start back then.
wdc: just for its name.
huc: human mining game concept, sadly the dev passed away. some other guys took over
scrypt jane: to have one of those
pmc, c2: end game bitcoin demo, for when there is nothing left to mine.

this is what i might buy if i had too much money and wanted to lock this into cold storage for a few years. i would prolly add more later down the road.

Dont buy coins with low volume. I can only advice you to buy the 2 coins other then bt/ltc i currently hold myself.

1. Peercoin. The only coin I would advice anyone to hold long term beside btc/ltc.
2. Anoncoin. There is a demand for an anonymous coin and anoncoin might got what it takes to become the first coin to achive that.

Provides a wealth of information. They have sortable filters with side-side comparisons.
Werther its short term or long term gains you seek, you should go here and view every coins website and look for the details that appeal to you the most.

Every one has different preferences when it comes to these crypto coins and their are alot of copycat coins looking to pump and dump for a quick return.
Be wary of pre-mined coins as these are usually red flags, although suspicious, not all are nefarious.  If it sounds to good to be true avoid it like the plague.
Alot of coins are in it for the long haul and will appear stagnant because the price has plateaued. ASIC, Botnet, GPU, mineable coins with outdated, vulnerable, buggy, hashing methods,
are the makings for coin hogs and scam artist who deter the market for the few legitimate miners who are in it for the community and of course for the share in wealth of coin.

I'm not going to suggest you invest in Premine (PMC), but I would suggest taking a good look at the thread, and make up your own mind.

I was an early adoptor, but seeing as I still have my coins, and didn't even sell them after the first big jump past 0.001, I can happily say my only ulterior motive is to see more active investors discussing the future of the currency.

I recommend FRK, but of course im biased. I just know the projects we are working on are good ones.

We have the chamber of commerce ribbon cutting in 9 days.

We just released our explainer video and going to get it aired on public television.

I think I will buy 5-7 coins that have already get some attention and love and I will buy 2-5 coins that are very speculative

I will probably keep you update on the coins I buy, thank you for the advices, you can continue to give me advices as I didn't buy yet and I am still a novice in alto currencies

i dont think asic resistance will be the answer forever. we cant just always create new coins when hardware evolves + what does that really solve ?
however: altho its not scrypt jane, vertcoin falls into the same category for me. so could be vertcoin.

Buy and stake MINTCOIN, just let it compound the interest. Price is right too.

Qubitcoin...secure hashing,unique algo. Nice volume for a "new" 2-3 months old coin, big support by Qubitcoin community,probably new Quark in few months, and also block reward is halving in few days so price will jump a bit

I'm in Premine if only for the reason to see what happens to a coin when its fully mined

It has a lot of potential (the dev is very active in promoting it), the network hash was up to 10 Gh/s at one point, and the price cannot get any lower. I keep buying karma. I'm up to about 20 million, and plan on holding for a long time.

But if you're looking for a long-term investment (5 years or more), then solarcoin is the way to go.

Some real truth here, not like the shills promoting their coin in this forum. I have a little bit of each of these but I would strongly recommend being very very conservative with your altcoin bets. I don't allow alt-coins to exceed 12% of my total position.

LTC, NMC, and PPC - these are first generation alts and have been around for a while. Of these I like NMC the most, I could really see it exploding in five years or so.

VTC - adaptive-N scrypt seems like a good longterm bet.

DOGE - for its community which will probably never stop using it. It's got a black market backing its value as well (dogeroad)

NXT - the first PoS coin, lots of development

NEM - seems like a lot of thought going into this coin

HUC - a solid human-mineable coin.

Currently I am looking to buy in cheap for MZC (first sovereign crypto), AUR maybe a couple months after the airdrop to see what happens, Mastercoin as a short-term play due to its decentralized exchange coming out in 3 days.


Remember, any and all of these alts could go to 1 satoshi. When you invest and hold an alt, you need to be prepared to lose it all.

Only POS coins have a monthly return on investment.
TEK (Highest return of all), HBN, PHS, MINT, all worth looking in to.
Maybe add 1 or 2 ASIC proof (vert, Myriad, Ultra)
Einsteinium looks neat too.
Anything else is simply a hopeful wannabe.

Nxt and Premine are low today and they cannot be mined, so it should be instabuy :)

LTC seems to predict BTC varation in price, two others have a country attached banner... I really like Icelanders, they have balls, much more balls than any other country.  Maza, maybe this could succeed and be the begining of very small country adopting crypto-currencies as their national currency..   both are interesting social experiment. 

Otherwise, stick to you BTC, have most of them in cold storage for few years.. Keep a reasonable percentage of BTC to spend.. Adoption going wild in BTC, and it's only the intro, not even chapter 1 of the story !

Maxcoin. Great support and hype, ultra All Time Low price.

Primecoin. Just cool PoW, very cheap now, its on BTC-e.

Another BTC-e coins like PPC/TRC/NMC, they are mostly cheap and will pump togheter with LTC and BTC in the next rise.

I would recommend ADT, 100% Proof of Stake and against all odds Zackclark70, the largest holder rebuilt the entire blockchain and got it swapped over and got back all coins to the community. I have an immense respect for Zack, if he can do something like that there is nothing that can stand in his way.

You already have some crypto currencies ,buy some crypto shares like PtoroShares or BitShares.

DigitalCoin, fair distribution, 40s blocks, no pre-mine, own exchange with USD, active development. Super undervalued right now because 500k were stolen from one of the largest holders and dumped on the market in the past weeks.

I'd vote for SaturnCoin and ZedCoin for the short term, since they'll probably be added to Cryptsy quite soon (they are leading by far on the vote page). Anoncoin for the long term.

all of this coisn are cheap compared to what they were, just KDC raised so hard to say if its good time to buy or not.

Maybe the price will stay down a little longer. I need more before the price spikes again.

Buy Goldcoin (GLD) and hold until June. People fall in love with this coin and for good reason.

Only good coins are Bitcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin, Namecoin, Nxt, Huntercoin, Datacoin, Riecoin, and Darkcoin. Btw, I only own 5 out of the 10 so my suggestion are purely based on their specs, potential, and uniqueness from other coins.

Where do you buy alt coins besides btc-e? I registered for C-CEX but have no idea how to use it, how to know if it's legit/safe, etc.

I only have a few ltc and ppc so far but am curious about getting involved in a couple of the newer coins to hodl for the next few years, just in case. :)

VertCoin is too expensive right now, but you can get microCoin very cheap, and it's similar.

MemoryCoin (MMC) is coming to the end of its inflationary period, and it's gotten cheap now too. Buy 1K for about $50.

I would also buy some AnonCoin.

the real help here and the fake help here can be hard to discern between.  many people will just come on here and say buy the coin they have invested in. coins that have been easily mined, are especially prone to this.  the miners are talking up the coin to dump it.  the PoS coins in my opinion are better but not perfect either (yet), but that seems to be where the most innovation is being focused.  miners hate the PoS by the way because they can't manipulate it.  in the end, the coin that brings to most new value to the market is the winner. try to look through and find what coin is giving a real service so that new investors will want to use it over other coins.  a lot of people will say "this coin is super fast" but has bitcoins 10 minute window been a huge drawback?  Someday, it might be a big deal, but as of now bitcoin keeps on going.
