Title: Bitcoin Mining

Is it possible for bitcoin to gradually migrate to proof-of-stake mining as POW mining becomes less economical and in preparation for the day when the coin supply reaches its finite amount?

I think it is possible. As long as the community approves of this as well as Satoshi Nakamoto.
