Very recently, IOTA launched the smart city hackathon, which would be hosted by Hackster.io which is the largest hardware oriented community in the world. In the long run, this might help streamline IOTA's protocol. Not only that, IOTA foundation partnered with the startup incubator Nova and aims to fund new startups through "Iota Cofoundery" program, focusing on the early stages of startup development.

What is IOTA(MIOTA)?

IOTA (MIOTA) is a distributed ledger designed to record and execute transactions between machines on the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. IOTA’s platform uses a Decentralized Acyclic Graph (DAG) instead of blockchain used by other systems. The non-profit foundation behind IOTA's platform has also inked agreements with prominent companies, such as Bosch and Volkswagen(German), to extend its platform’s utility among connected devices. 

IOTA wants to become the standard mode of the transaction between Internet-connected devices in the future. MIOTA would enable micropayment transactions between connected devices. For instance, it might enable you to purchase grocery items from an e-commerce site using your Internet-connected fridge.

Market Prediction for IOTA price

As the market is pretty volatile, predicting the price of any cryptocurrency would not be an easy task, that too for the 13th largest cryptocurrency in the world. But the investors are pretty optimistic about this cryptocurrency. Let's have a look at the forecasts given by some of the investors or the websites:

#1 Mega Crypto Price

This crypto prediction website predicts that IOTA might reach $1.13 by 2019 end, which is a very conservative prediction. They even mentioned that by 2020, IOTA might reach $2.37 and bt 2023, $4.88.

#2 Long Forecast

Long Forecast predicted that by 2020, it is expected that the coin may be valued between $0.52-$0.60. Even Long Forecast forecasts that IOTA might get devalued by 2020. This forecast is not only conservative but too bearish.


#3 Smartereum

Smartereum predicts that IOTA might reach around $38 by the end of five years. This indicates that they believe that IOTA might increase threefold in five years.

#4 Digital Coin Price

Digital Coin Price predicts that by 2019 end, it might hover around $0.50 and by 2020, it might go up to $0.60 and has the greatest possibility of reaching $1.22 by 2025 according to this website. This is again a pessimistic bearish forecast.

#5 Trading Beasts

Tradingbeasts.com is a website which regularly updates IOTA predictions based on the historical data. According to them, the IOTA price prediction 2020 varies between a minimum of $7.06 and maximum of $10.38.

#6 Crypto Ground

Crypto Ground believes that IOTA might reach surge upwards and reach $5.627 by 2023.

How many posts will you create about altcoin price predictions?
I do not see any purpose of the price predictions. You only wrote some numbers without any sense, without explanation why IOTA should reach...  ::)

this is only the prediction and prediction that are talked about for no reasonable reason, not only is IOTA expected to rise this year but all other altcoins

I've been following IOTA for more than two years. It's a coin where it's never possible to predict the price. I think development for IOTA is continuing.

Rather than updating with constant price predictions why don't we start a conversation around IOTA and how it differs to say competition such as EOS, NEO or MOAC?

My friend IOTA has secured a lot of partnerships in several industries, including the automobile industry, the manufacturing industry, and the insurance industry. All the developments and partnerships of the coin might pay off pretty soon, and the coin's value might fly to the moon.

My personal prediction of the price of IOTA this year is $ 1. if they continue to develop I think this is realistic. the price is now 0.28, if the market continues like this I'm sure this will come true.

isn't all predictions too high. currently IOTA is quite low rather than thinking about the increase I prefer IOTA prices to be stable until the end of the year. because if the market goes up and the price of bitcoin rises, the price of IOTA will also increase.

Before coming up with the idea that the value of one particular coin will rise, why not check the value of other coins in the market and see if it will rise too, why not pick all of the coins that would rise instead of selecting them one at a time. We all know that we are getting close to the time of the bull run and therefore, many coins will rise in price and not just IOTA.

I believe I have seen this thread of yours on another discussion forum talking about the price prediction of IOTA so I would give the same reply here which I also gave their too.

I said that why did you leave other coins on that prediction website and just showing us about the rise that may likely happen for IOTA, we all know that the bull run will soon begin and not just IOTA will grow in price but a lot of coins in the market.

This is, of course, a great project. But forecasts with values ​​of 1.13 or 4.88 look naive, to say the least. The price is determined by the market. The market may not follow these forecasts at all. Someday, if the project will live, such prices will be achieved. But when? ..

IOTA is a good project which could give a long term profit, as if now it has got listed within the top 15 list of the coins listed to coinmarketcap. This is completely associated with the things happening with the real world growth along with the internet. The price hasn't given good price growth for days, only minor fluctuations have taken place with it. This seems good for regular trading.

I have become aware of this coin recently because of the game Post Scriptum Paracosm. I like the idea that maybe one day a game like that can have items written into the tangle. This would basically allow an item to be tracked from its inception, being traded freely within the game as a unique item. Think about a whole game operating like this.

I don't think anything will be coming to market anytime soon. I do think the developers will come up with something eventually, which could provide an interesting use case for IOTA.

IOTA and similar projects will come to better places in the future. Now the problem is how long we have to wait. Projects are produced with very large claims and then they go away. IOTA can break it.

i have always liked the coins that have some innovation in their project and IOTA certainly has that but when it comes to speculation (this board) and the prices many of these coins suffer from bad decisions for example in case of IOTA it is the usual problem with its supply!
you can never expect an altcoin that has such a huge supply (2.78 billion) to succeed in long term.

iota predictions may be in the best position in 2019, we can expect that to happen. Now iota is a good thing for a project. maybe it will be more maximal if iota becomes a coin that has a high price, this will continue to make iota a popular product

Feelessness is only part of being suitable for microtransactions as IOT devices are going to be selling small amounts of data and services for sub penny amounts--the other part is IOTA having low resource consumption, which is why blockchain projects aren't suitable for IOT as they have higher fees and resource cosumption.

Newly launched smart city hackathon exactly will help to improve IOTA's protocol if it is hosted by Hackster! IOTA has a long way to go further. I believe that project itself kinda resembles some kind of game which has items/rules written in Tangle technology. It's interesting, fascinating and attractive at the same time. With both Volkswagen and Jaguar on board it is clear that IOTA is going to the moon. Other car manufacturers will follow if the implementation is successful which will drive up demand - pun intended!

IOTA has all chances to gain. I suppose that it is one of the best altcoins and it can be in the top-5 even. I am not sure about its price for this year as predictions never come true.

IOTA hasn't had a chance to gain anything from the market again. Can you tell me some utility of the IOTA con? DAG is a good platform that offers the possibility to create an instant transaction with zero fees. But the fact that almost all of DAG coins are lack of utility usage. that's why the demand for dag coin has been decreasing a lot. It must be changed to regain its hype and demand again.
I believe IOTA will get another drop in the future.

Your comment on utility seems backwards to me. A lot of the companies and organizations partnering with IOTA are acknowledging that they want a feeless structure as IOT devices aren't profitable when they're paying more in fees or resource burn than the actual tx. An IOT device streaming data needs two things: (1. to be able to sell that data for less than fees 2. be able to send the data for a fraction of the cost of its creation). There is no utility for an IOT token if it charges fees or can't be used on a small sensor operating on the fringes of a network. And let's not forget, that the supposed utility of P2P networks, such as Bitcoin, was never intended to be "store-of-wealth" as that was just a rebranding tactic after everyone realized POW didn't scale and that Bitcoin specifically couldn't be considered a "cash-system" as stated in the whitepaper because it's not fungible as coins can be white, brown or blacklisted by anyone observing the ledger.

Anyway, there's a reason the governemnts and corporations who have been studying IOT and its concerns are partnering with IOTA more than any other project in cryptoland, and it's not for lack of utility.
