Title: Proof of Knowledge allows for symmetric cryptography on the blockchain. Post by: UnruffledST on February 28, 2019, 09:50:16 AM It seems like while everyone was busy with Zero-knowledge proof I was the first one to be able to point this out.
Fun Fact: Many blockchain users belive that the Public-key Cryptography that is used in blockchain is more secure than symmetric cryptography, which is false. Truth is symmetric encryption would be allowed on blockchains through a Proof of Knowledge protocol in which can only be used on blockchains that stricly enforce one-time-use addresses, Satoshi Nakamoto would not have been able to implement a Proof of Knowledge protocol due to the fact that Bitcoin has reusable addresses. Privacy coins for the win. Read more below. https://medium.com/@scroda/scroda-busts-the-myth-that-public-key-cryptography-on-the-blockchain-is-more-secure-9dba7c33959e |
