Title: Providing Fake Google Reviews
Post by: shasan on March 01, 2019, 01:27:19 AM
What happened:: Providing Fake Google Reviews

Scammers Profile Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=95139

Reference Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115462
Archive: https://archive.fo/JFOQz

Additional Notes: Rub3n (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=95139) has been started a service where s/he will provide google review which is must spam/scam as real users/visitors will not be able to know the reality of that feedback. Any types of feedback should be real. But providing feedback/rating for payment never cant be trusted as that will be provided not for the service but for the payment. So, his/her service will encourage people to scam. Also here is a reference post-https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2189995.0 where a lot of people get tagged for providing reviews.

Pamoldar (http://Pamoldar) already warned on that post:
This way you will misguide the real visitors. I understand it's a common practice for the companies but ethically I do not support it. Imagine someone find themselves in a position when hurt them financially or by any way because of your false review.

But the topic creator still on his/her opinion:
We are just a fish in a pool of many. I get your point, however. Modern world  :'(

Its definitely shady but not as bad a scam as some.

Plus, $6.50 a review seems a bit pricey for 5-10 minutes worth of work.

Anybody can create a stack of U.S.-based google accounts and write reviews from them.

I'm never impressed when people advertise dishonest services but I'm also not sure they should be labeled as a "scammer." At least not for forum purposes.

This behavior is not limited to Scam but is contrary to the rules of Google. The reviews are intended to obtain the experiences of others in relation to this product and not to deceive them through a false assessment.

I rely heavily on some comments when finding unknown products, but what this user offers encourages scamming.
It is regrettable that the service is provided by a green trusted member.

Hope he learn his lesson and quit this shady business, but I kind of doubt it.
Let's see. He still have a ??? as a rating, soon I guess will end up on the red side.

I also got a PM with the same request.
I don't think I'll remove the negative feedback at all.
