Title: Drafts
Post by: theymos on March 11, 2014, 10:50:12 PM
A draft is now saved whenever you post or preview a PM or post. You can see your saved drafts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts

Well I could've used that yesterday. That's great, thanks.

By the way: Even if your post fails with some error, a draft is likely to get saved. The draft is saved before most errors can occur.

It would be nice if it will save it in a real time ;) I mean if I will close a browser while writing some post it would be nice to find it in drafts but I know it is quite harder/larger to implement.

(or if I will close a tab where I write a post  - like would be great if drafts will be saved after example 1 min of writing a post.

Anyway it is working great!

Regards!

I'm still going to put everything into clipboard before hitting submit, old habits die hard  :P

It is a good feature, but losing a post hasn't really effected me since growing out of the the newb time limit restrictions, but I did lose one the other day when I previewed a message and the site must've gone down whilst I was writing it. I guess if that does happen the message still wouldn't be saved?

Will this feature be on the new forum?

This feature would have come in handy a couple of months ago lol.

Can't agree more lol.
It would be very very helpful for newcomers with the 360s limit IMO. :)

Will you be providing a link to the drafts in the profile area?    :)

I was going to say, if I post something long, I usually open up Notepad++ and type it in first. I used to work on some posts or PMs over the course of days.

It would be fine when the saved drafts had context preserved (to which thread they belong), and a control (button) allowing to resume the posting.

Cool feature. Would have been more useful for me personally when I was getting more errors on my posts but I will still use for PMs. Thanks
