I strongly agree with you to choose ETH as a very good investment list and keep it in the next few years so that you don't give up on the way, I don't recommend LTC as an investment list because I see that LTC won't improve like ETH because there are more market demand held by ETH when prices rise, it will be a very profitable opportunity, the most sought after seeing Bitcoin as the main thing, the current conditions are very good when the market is always trying to pump quickly, maybe it needs better adaptation to plunge into some long time.

Why not! yes it is fine to buy LTC for the long term investment. Next year halving on bitcoin and LTC will make some changes on the LTC market for sure then there is no hesitation to invest on it. If you want to buy LTC for cash or paypal you may need to contact the people exchanges child board.

I think you can go for LTC but not in the current market. The price is about 55 USD for now and I think it will go below 41 USD. Also, litecoin has switched to MimbleWimble So a lot of hype and fomo is also being created on it.

You can buy LTC on any exchange they pretty much all have them.  Go with the one your most secure about.  LTC is as easy to buy as bitcoin at this point

LTC is good crypto in deed but i think now it won't be profitable rather than another one so you may try to buy BTC, ETH or ADA. From my point of view you will get at least 20℅ profit within those coins. So choice is yours.

I guess you had a good choice buying LTC as crypto investment. It has a good team of devs and popular founder in the name of Charlie Lee. He is a dedicated cryptocurrency creator of LTC. Someday maybe when bitcoin is starting to move up LTC will get there to make you profit more. I hope the OP could buy LTC at the right time because now, Litecoin price is rise higher. And back to the date when he makes this thread, LTC price is at $45, and now the price is at $60. He makes a nice profit so far, and if he can buy at that time, then he can make a lot of profit if he can buy more than 5 LTC.

Litecoin price still in less than $100 so I think it still cheaper than before. But when the price increase for more than $100, then it will be too late to buy litecoin unless there is a fast dump that might happen in the market.

- translation between btc and ltc(test)
-good community.

Among the old coins, litecoin still remains one of the coins that has not done  well and it should be above $300 or $200 but it still below $100. When op opens this thread in match bitcoin was seriously down and around $38 but it has done well since April and it has the best month in June.  To me, it will do very well when the next bull run commences and that means it is good if you have risk funds to buy now that it is still below $100 and in the face of the correction.

The price now is the best price he can get. I guess LTC will be increase soon and if he wants to get more profit from LTC, then he should use this time to buy more litecoin. Until now the LTC's credibility is still good to make this coin able to remain in the top 10 coinmarketcaps hopefully hopefully in the near future LTC prices will strengthen again as in the time of last June.

Conceptually litcoin was created is like bitcoin, there is halving event who will make reduction when the coin is mined for every for years. But it depend on the coin itself, if the coin has popularity and there is many demand to the coin then its price will high because the supply for the coin will decrease whereas the demand of the coin is high. 

And I just guessing, in August 2019 litecoin had been facing halving event but the demand of the coin was remain same so as it has nothing to do to this event. But I have read an article who stated that the halving event will be felt after it has happened, you can see when the price litecoin at 2015 ago when the halving event came, the price just stable but when 2016-2017 it is price just soaring and touch the ATH. Maybe this scheme will happen to the halving event at this time.

For investment purpose it will take some time to get a good result from this coin, knowing that everything inside the market are following Bitcoin movements. Being one of those existing old coins for sure it will receive continuous support from it's community.

All I can say is buy coin that you will use as utility. LTC is actually one of my favorite coins. In the past month there has not been a large price movement on LTC. Corrections occur almost every day, and in my opinion suitable for short-term trading.
