Title: How to find out where to sell your coins.
Post by: cryptolord2077 on March 04, 2019, 06:53:03 PM
Hello. Surely many of you suffer from the fact that it is difficult to understand which of your little popular tokens are traded on decentralized exchanges.
However, now there is a convenient way without unnecessary problems.
Enter your wallet number and select the exchanges you are interested in.
The list has: EtherDelta (ForkDelta) (https://forkdelta.app/), IDEX (https://idex.market/), Token store (https://token.store/), Switcheo (https://switcheo.network/), Joyso (https://joyso.io/), Enclaves (https://enclaves.io), SingularX (https://www.singularx.com/), EtherC (https://www.etherc.io/), Decentrex (https://decentrex.com/), DEXY (https://github.com/decentrex/decentrex.github.io/blob/master/index.md).

I have doubts about the usefulness of most of these exchanges. IDEX is a little different than others, but forkdelta is the exchange used by bounty hunters to sell their money cheaply. Forkdelta may not have been in this situation, but when we look from the edge today, it is closer to this idea. token.store is useless too. As a matter of fact I do not have any idea about others, but I do not think they are better.

The best thing is to asking the developer about this, it has limited exchange site and a new exchange site will not be instantly listed on it dude. I should remind you if that can't be an efficient idea. That's useless because the only thing that you can do to ask the developer directly about that especially with unfamiliar coin

This site has a beneficial feature that I can't do the same thing in MEW. Btw they only have one price source for estimating the balance of wallet. "Price estimates come from the ForkDelta & IDEX orderbooks" IMO they need to implement watch address button and feature to the site for tracking incoming&outgoing transactions on a dashboard.

Aside Switcheo which i can also recommend for those who have tokens that are NEO based, i can also give suggestion of IDEX, but others i do not use and i do not think they are that interesting to use.
Well DEXes are gradually coming up.

That's really cool bro. But all of that depend from dev plan. Although the coin are listed on DEX, dev usually don't recommend for using them. Wait for mayor exchange it will be better.

Trading volume for less popular coins on decentralized exchanges is low, usually there are bounty hunters selling tokens and buy orders are very low.
Selling such tokens for few dollars won't make any good so I'll rather keep them in my wallet waiting for better times or they will die in my wallet, but I am not going to sell something which was 0.1$ per token during ICO for 0.0001$.

Mostly CMC if those are already listed and have good volume. Yes, you may visit these decentralised echanges specially if those are airdrops or small volume erc20 tokens but paying gas fees higher than the amount of it is a no no. I'd rather wait for bigger exchange but of course I'll check if those have future plans.

I don't really recommend people to sell their tokens in etherdelta or forkdelta just like that, I think people are just dumping the price of the token if they sell it there ahead. We could wait further to be listed on good exchanges for good value. Or in any case, you can ask the team for how much is the value of the token then you can try to ask your friend to sell your coins to them.

Only one market always support for selling and buying your coin asset is forkdelta, how ever is not real official market but you can sell there your coin or your balance, but keep lower price is actually on forkdelta.

lots of token prices were destroyed when first listed on dex market, I often hold tokens with good ICO prices, but after a while the price falls on the dex market. any one same  with me?

yes. This is a very good recommendation, I am usually confused about selling the altcoin that I have, I have to check it on every bounty telegram group that I follow, with this recommendation I now feel helped by the problem that I had experienced.

Yes but it's only for Ethereum based tokens, for other EOS/Neo based tokens there are separate exchanges on their own chains.

Better to ask the developer of the token for the exchanges because usually they will announce it so I think this is way better and a safer way. I don't find any difficulties on looking for the exchanges as I monitor all the coins that I have. Those exchanges are more on ETH, so i think it will hard if your coin is not an eth based coin.

Selling coins or tokens on the exchange that is not officially appointed by the developer seems to be less profitable because the price is usually very low. So it's good to look for official information from developers, don't be in a hurry, developers will definitely give you the best and most appropriate answers so that you don't get confused about selling tokens that you have.

From that list, I only know EtherDelta, and IDEX. I don't know and never heard about the other exchanges. Both EtherDelta and IDEX have a big list of tokens that trade in that site, but however, I prefer to use IDEX because I don't have to use gas to buy and sell and I only need ethereum inside my balance.

Perhaps, it's because I don't have too many tokens that I save in my MEW account so I only know those exchange. But for people who get involved in many projects, I am sure they will search on where the exchanges list the token or at least they will ask with the teams.

Yes, now the prices for tokens have fallen thousands of times, so there is no point in even being interested in their price at the present time. Now is not the time for sale, you need to keep our tokens, if the project is good, it will show itself over time and prices will still grow. You need to stay calm and expect a rise in the cryptocurrency market.

If you are a risky person I agree with you, taking chances and who knows what the coin will deliver after some time, there's chances that the project will
grow if the team will continue to workout with their coins, instead of selling it with very low value keeping it and allow the coins to be hold till something
delivers to the project, we are inside crypto, so there's no impossible if things will grow after some months or years of holding.

There are numerous ways to find out how to sell your coins
Firstly, you need to check coinmarketcap and find out where the tokens are trading

If the project is not listed on coinmarketcap; then you need to check their twitter and telegram handles for information about the exchange they are listed

Then you go to the exchange and check their informations and make your trades

With the list, I basically use IDEX and the other exchange on the list I have no idea that they are even existing. I can't understand why there's a need to get through deltabalances first if we can basically go directly to IDEX or your preferred exchange.

Most tokens or altcoins that are not listed on coinmarketcap are new or they really have no plans of being added there. But the best way to know is to go check their website and see all of those exchanges where they are listed.

Hi, actually you can check where is your token being trade in etherscan.io website.
You just need to know your token contract address, and search for it, and make sure the token address is the correct one.
Look at the DEX Trades tab, and there will be some exchanges name on the list.

That's easy as you always thought an easy thing could be. Since you own a project token or coin am sure you will follow them on Twitter and if possible you will join their telegram, so you just have to visit that anytime you think of any of them you are holding to know the listed exchange or update.

thats right  . that's an easy way to track your coins progress but to be honest i didnt ever tried that because ive been joining alot of airdrops and bounties on the past , my social media feeds as well as my messaging apps are now bloated  . its confusing to check thier updates from there  . i rather use etherplorer and if i see that my coins has a value , i then head on the popular exchange  , if i cant find them then etherdelta would be my last resort .

There are several exchange, your choice depends on the type of token you have and where they are listed to, but i have a trusted Escro group where i trade my token most time without using exchange. But the best way is to trade on an exchange to avoid loss of token.

Selling something which you have bought at hundred times higher price is huge money loss and I don't think holding it is risking anything. You have two possibilities, to sell tokens and lose money or to hold tokens and they will maybe grow maybe not. Selling at low levels is risky part, holding isn't, because you have already lost money.

It seems to me that today there’s no need to worry about selling new tokens, because there are still no such companies that would make a real product with a decent value. Almost all coins are discounted or not traded at all on stock exchanges.

This exchanges are decentralized exchanges which enables anyone to list a token without the need of the admin contacting the exchange owners, this can cause great devalue in the price of the token, because most people who goes to those exchange are people who received those tokens as airdrop or as bounty and they don't put any value to the token thereby dumping at any rate they desire, I think most of this exchange shouldn't be in existence.

Why not to use coinmarketcap site instead?

Which is a site allows us to find the difference in prices of our tokens if it is presented on multiple exchanges and also trading volume can give and idea about where to trade our tokens.

You can as well query all your past transactions on the Ethereum network such as your buying and selling history on decentralized exchanges, placed orders and give you the token worth in both Ethereum and dollar value.

Selling coins/tokens on DEX is very convenient but you should know that it's very difficult to sell your coins with high price on DEX because trader or investor often trade on DEX to collect good coin/token with low price only so if you guys wanna sell your coins with high price so try to wait until listed on official exchange.

I do not see any problems in order to do this, the most important thing is to analyze the situation correctly and understand that today there are a very large number of situations that can actually become very, very successful for you if you respond to them correctly.

In my opinion, if the exchange must enter the private key is not safe. for example Etherdelta. I once lost my token on the exchange because my wallet address was hacked. thus they can freely take our assets in etherdelta just by entering the private key.

Just visit coinmarketcap site where you can all the details about prices and listed exchange, but when a tokens don't have any value it won't found on coinmarketcap and it is not possible to sell the for some price.

In my experience trading in that exchange are not really profitable because I may say that it's not a official trading platform and all of the coins I get from bounties before are sold there with a low price and those projects are now gone... which i may say all the projects that starts to fall are listing their coins there.

If you really want to know where to sell your coins... you can join to the projects official group chat (example: telegram) and get an information to the admin or you can visit their official websites or social media accounts.

I use coinmarketcap to find out about the coin. It has all the links you need to find out more about the coin. Only it doesn't show information about new projects very precisely

This new project that I'm promoting is ETH token and after many months I'm coming back to have some kind of relationship with that. In the past I used EtherDelta a lot and these variants you presented are unknown to me. But it's always interesting to be aware of any type of DEX that in practice are not DEX. There are some projects that promise to improve the liquidity of tokens and none so far convinced the community, but when that happens and maybe those options you listed lose their relevance.

EtherDelta was a popular exchange for the quick sale of shitcoins. Now often used by hackers :(

the easiest way to find out where tokens are listed is to follow the site of the ico usually the team announces there with which exchanges have made arrangements, however shortly after the release of the various tokens we can almost certainly find them on forkdelta

It seems to me that you need to have a lot of resources, like a coinmarketcap, in order to be able to find opportunities to trade different coins. Well, if I participated in the Bounty company, then I always ask questions about the trade of their tokens.

Looks good to me.
Tested it but there seems to be a problem.

In my balance there are some tokens that I do not really have. Tried to look at it everywhere like ethplorer and etherscan but still cannot find it.
Is that a bug or something.

But really, that is a cool idea. Just needs more polishing or maybe a better update when a sudden listing is done by a coin or a token. And add some more exchange.

Thanks.

I think, it is a market for coin that has a small volume, it is very useful. because sometimes I also use etherdelta to sell my coins.

but after I got information that etherdelta was hacked.

I chose to use other markets such as Binance.

IDEX was one of them before, but by continuously update and upgrade, IDEX went ahead of those exchanges! Even IDEX is better than Bancor in my eyes! Therefore, Forkdelta is better than Etherdelta, they are not the same now! Tokensotre is useless, I don't know why people list their coin in the tokenstore by spending 2 BTC nowadays! To sell unpopular coins, Forkdelta is the best place for it and it is good for traders who want to buy coins at a cheap rate.

If you want to sell in Exchange perhaps you could make a sell order in accordance with the price you want and the death of a vacation than you have to see every day, in the present conditions I think asset price didn't move much.

Is the decentralized money not suitable for decentralized exchange? Why should it be useless if we are able to use the exchanges right? So devs get rid of paying for any centralized exchange and we do not wait for it.

All new coins will be listed directly at Etherdelta and Forkdelta but its volume isn't that attractive for buyers and even sellers. That seems usual thing to happen cause it isn't establish good market unlike of those coins who are existed many year in the market.
So in that case, you better wait that a certain coins will be listed in good exchanges.

You need to visit their social media for listing update like telegram, twitter and of course their website that's what I'm doing   and of course you can always try to search your coin on coinmarketap, blockfolio or similar app. The last option is as you say Decentralized exchanges.

forkdelta is my favorite exchange  ;D

In some other generic exchanges, it is not always that our coin that has its contract address are listed directly, there's still some limitations that we need to do. Some times it is very hard to let go of out private keys just like in ether delta.

Thanks you for that.
But not all are listed here.

I guess relying on their telegram groups is still the number 1 since you dont really know when it will be listed until they decide too.
One of my tokens is still not listed in any exchange. I am betting they are trying to escape this low market of crypto currencies and dont want their token value to be dragged by it in case another fall will happen.

If you are well aware and familiar with this kinds fo exchangers there's no problem providing this information, dex platform allows traders to exchange
coins between holders, while waiting for the centralized exchange to list your coins, using this platform will allow both buyers and sellers to do the trade,
most of newly finished ico's can be found here.

You might see it in Etherdelta but I'm sure the value is very cheap and volume is low.
Not seeing it in coinmarketcap means the team are not yet interested in listing it, either they will just scam their investors or they are just focus more on the development than the exchange listing, this is acceptable for now since market is bearish.

Copy the smartcontract address of the token I have from etherscan and then paste it on Etheredelta/Forkdelta link address  (ex: https://forkdelta.app/#!/trade/0x056dd20b01799e9c1952c7c9a5ff4409a6110085-ETH)

Well, on these exchanges to keep track of who bought and sold is almost impossible , especially in the number of purse I think it's impossible decentralized exchanges should be better centralized , but of course if you come with tokens or bounty ico , first and foremost, see decentralized exchanges

This look good, I think it only works for the list exchange site on the website or the ones you listed. And is some case where the project got listed on other exchange apart from the ones here, that means it's not complete for the actions.

Ohw, these exchanges you mentioned are centralized and I don't think it would be best to trade in this platforms. I would prefer trading my tokens on the decentralized exchanges where it would be listed rather than trading on the mentioned ones.

Of all these exchanges, I use only IDEX. really fast and convenient application.

If the coin is not popular, you can sell it on some DEX but if it kind of popular, you can actually just look on the coinmarketcap and see there where to sell it. It shows the volume of the exchange you are selling too that's why you can choose what's good and what's not.

I just used forkdelta (ether), idex, and okex. and so far the easiest and fastest way in my opinion is forkdelta.

Previously I found out this link https://deltabalances.github.io/ from my friend. But after that I never tried to find a market for my coins. What I usually do is find information on the market for coins that I have on my telegram. Because the information I can get is easily telegramed by the group of coins.

You can find it easily but not all the sites google suggested are legit.
I receive some tokens in the past and I sell it in a non popular exchange and until now it's still their my sell order still opens since there's no volume.
I did not withdraw the tokens anymore as the value is very cheap now, I'll just accept whatever happens to it.

It's easier to sell actually if your coins are listed in the liquid exchanges, but it's hard to have that especially if its coming from ICO.

Here are the step. First thing you need to do is open coinmarketcap and search the coin/token you want to sell.

After that click the exchange and register there. What if the coins not listed? Try find it on decentralized exchange like forkdelta, etherdelta, idex and others else.

from the list, I used to use idex because in my opinion the newest ico, idex is the first exchange before registering to a larger exchanger.

Every listed project will be announced in their respective telegram groups or channels, so the best way is to visit or join the group and ask or just use the search feature to search for the keyword "exchange" and you will get all neccessry information.

How do you know which exchange sells tokens or coins that you have? Well, you can use the app blockfolio, it is quite convenient.

From this list, i am only have experience with IDEX and Forkdelta. Its good so far and secure. Many coin list on that exchanger. Decentralized exchanger will become trend in the future but centralized exchanger offer big transaction volume

This is a more easy way to know where to exchange your coin but if its not listed yet, then try to go to the website of your coin and know where to exchange it. Its easy to find where to sell your coin, more ways to do that and of course do it on your own. New coins usually announce their exchange listing.

coinmarketcap.com is the easiest place to find all the exchanges for any coin or token. IDEX and forkdelta cover Ethereum tokens only. IDEX does have a more user friendly interface that forkdelta. But price spreads on both these can be higher than bigger exchanges so good for small trades only.

I would stay on exchanges and only sell my tokens when they are going to be listed on coinmarketcap. This guarantees that this coin is listed on a legit exchange and has at least some trading volume and not only several orders like on forkdelta.

This is a very handy tool especially if you've got lots of tokens sitting about in your wallet from bounty campaigns and airdrops etc. and don't know where you might be able to liquidate them should the market pick up again and it is sure to save lots of people time so props for building this

CMC is the most reliable one to know where to sold your coin but most of the new coin from ICO are still not listed on CMC so you have to look for the direct developer if that coin is already listed or not. I’m just keeping myself updates through telegram which i always ask what exchanges they are listed.

A lot of markets in free exchanges make it very difficult for us to sell the tokens they have, and the shipping fees are also high.
And not all of these tokens have good exchange rates, and the solution can only hold back waiting until it gets better again..

Many people face this problem for his/her little popular tokens where it is listed. You have referred some exchangers lists but i only support IDEX. Etherdelta or forkdelta is not secure for use. My most familiar figures got hacked due to use of Etherdelta. I am giving few tips to find where your coins are listed.
1. Find the token's telegram and social media news. You can get the token listing news.
2. CMC search may help you in this regard to find listed exchange.
3. Coingecko can be your best help to find listing exchange for the tokens that aren't found in the CMC. Maximum tokens' listing information you will find here.

I make sure I follow up any project am involved in. The problem sometimes is pulling up tokens in the wallet. Some get confused afterwards and do not even know how to follow up.

Indeed, although CMC is very reliable, it is not always up to date with all tokens and where the token is listed, so sometimes we look for places to sell tokens on cmc that will just waste time, want to search for where to sell token, the best way is still to access the social networks of that project, as long as the project wants to develop and continue to operate, they will regularly update news and exchanges that can buy or sell token or if they never provide it, we can sell on some black markets, many investors always want to accumulate some tokens that are not listed.

Quite helpful but we all know that most dumpers are living on the decentralized exchanges. The best thing you should and basically this is important you should always do, keep updated to the groups of coin/token which you're holding.
