Gift cards can be chargebacked just like PayPal transcations for example so even If redeeming the card works, issues could happen afterwards and escrows usually don't want to take such responsability.

I already bought Amazon gift cards before from someone in Paxful who turned out to be a carder and the balance was no longer available to use.
