Title: How do I restore wallet.dat using v0.11.1 (64-bit) Bitcoin Core
Post by: jkirwin on March 05, 2019, 02:16:34 AM
Can anyone tell me how to restore my backed up wallet.dat file using Bitcoin core  v0.11.1 (64-bit)

The only option under "File" is backup....there is no restore option???

Thanks

Just copy and paste it (overwrite when prompted) in the default directory. If the current wallet.dat have balance, back-up it as well before overwriting.

Also... ensure that you do this when Bitcoin Core is NOT running!!

If you try and restore the file when it is running, there is a high chance you will corrupt the file.
