hello everyone!
few days ago my friend told me to create account on cryptoesto.com because it is better than other exchanges. I was created new  on cryptoesto.com and also i am hold 10 btc in my walllet.Now the cryptoesto site is not available on google :'(
can anyone give me personal opinion what i do now ???

if you had googled the name "cryptoesto" before you listened to that "friend" of yours then you would have seen that out of the first 10 search results 9 of them are talking about how this website is a scam the remaining one is the link to the website itself!

I am honestly surprised how you trusted a random shady website suggested by an unknown person (who according to google results have been advertising it on Telegram and social media like that) with 10 bitcoin!

Really I am very confused after read your topic. Really you have hold 10 btc in this site without any investigation?  10 btc is not little money today. But you hold it on a unknown exchange where binance, bittrex, poloniex, bitfinex are more trusted now a days.

Though I don't suggest to hold money in any exchange but you should choose any known exchange like binance, bittrex for high amount. Be secure to your hard working money. Thanks

sikandar1@3, that friend is not your friend if he advised you to invest money on that exchange, and you are not too smart if you send 10 BTC to any site before you check what others think about that site. If you really lost 10 BTC, it's a really big loss which is caused by a careless approach to matters which should be approached with extreme caution.

Once again a noob manages to unearth a site no one else has ever heard of and entrust them with a vast amount of money.

With what I see so far the OP is a newbie and he's yet to understand some basic concept about crypto currency but I wonder how close that friend is to him and I wonder he dont come here for questions before following his friend advice.

With that been said, we all know that keeping a huge amount of coins on exchange is not advisable not mentioned an exchange which is already label for scam.

Be careful on choosing exchange site and do not invest in any unknown website. If that website can't be find in google or in any kind of search engine you should not invest and just stay away to that website because there is tendency that you could lose your money if you will invest.

Ooh no! You don't commit much of your fund to an exchange, even a well known and reputable exchange, talk-less of just a random recommended site. This is a very poor way of walking round in this Crypto space.

Sorry for your lost OP, 10 BTC's a lot of money but there's no way to get your money back unless your friend is behind the operation of that scam website he suggested to you and ask him to return it to you.

What made you think to put that large amount of bitcoin on that not so familiar website? Next time before depositing to an exchange, check the reviews or at least google them to verify if they are legit.

My advice to you on this would be - Just find a cool and comfortable corner and faint! You deserve severe beating.

Honestly, I am not trying to make a jest of your predicament (if however your story is a reality) but I think you should've made your research first before gifting that exchange such charitable reward. Better you should've tested it with something less than $100 to start with. That's the way I roll. That's what I did with Binance in 2017 when it started.

Never think that OP is kidding because, is very much possible for him to be in possession of such amounted Bitcoin 10BTC. There are some investors who have been on cryptocurrency but yet to create account on the forum. Few years back i had to joined the movement of Bitcoin through localbitcoin and never had of this forum so, also others who have acquired some Bitcoin before the awareness of the forum.

I am really sorry to know that you have lost 10BTC which is a big margin, you need to be very careful while selecting the exchanges. That's the reason people are advised to have exchange on genuine sites, I think it is not possible to get back your bitcoins as your friend might suppose to be a cheater.

You must be very rich if you were so careless with such a large amount of money. When I'm planning to send anything I even go as far as sending s very small transaction first to see if the site recognizes it and adds it to my balance. I do it with well known exchanges like Binance too, because I want to eliminate every possible system error on both sides.
I'm not sorry for your loss. You simply threw that money away and woke up when it was already gone. Please people, don't be careless! Nobody is going to check the sites and addresses for you. If you try out a new service that you're not sure of, send 1% of what you're planning to deposit and check all the features first (if you will be allowed to trade and withdraw, if the coins get returned to you, how long will it take, and so on).

Well your Bitcoin is lost... You're already scammed... So what are you going to do now? From now on you should study more about a certain website or a certain exchange a 10BTC is not a small amount of money and you can do different things with that amount... you shouldn't be just transferring a big amount to an unknown exchange or website you should know the credibility of the website.

From now on don't believe on anyone... even me. It's much better to study on your own and conduct your own judgement about something. But you can take advice's here and of course make sure that advice is legit and would help you.

Dude. Sadly, the best advice anyone could give you is to charge it to experience and learn from it. I don't think it was a good idea to put that much asset in a new and untested exchange. Hell i wouldn't even keep that amount in an established on. I doubt you can get that back so learn from it.

There goes to show that u can never trust anyone even your friend, why put your money in some shady exchange site rather than just using a popular and a trusty one, where u can be sure it is not a scam, and to be honest its totally your fault for not checking the site before putting your btc in, they probably took down the site because the were able to make a fortune from your generous donation.

If anyones had any issues with their crypto, wallet, theft etc, I'm a law student/paralegal offering services to get your wallet providers attention to your issues that you are facing. I'm also able to submit claims in many countries to attempt to get coins returned.

I don't do this for a huge fee like a vampire lawyer, looking to just make a bit of extra cash and get some testimonials under my belt as I'm planning on doing this full time once I graduate.

It's sad OP you had a lot of money in there wish I had as much. If you sent money to scammers you aren't getting it back. People are telling you to file a complaint or something but if you live somewhere far away it's going to be almost impossible to get your money. The company is registered in the UK so filing a complaint there might get somewhere.

Get a lawyer ASAP and make him send a complaint.

Good lesson to understand the vulnerability of coins without safe wallets. It is less than 100$ to purchase hardware wallets and you just preferred to hold your btcs in an online wallet that never shares private keys with customers.

I agree. You should choose the trusted exchange or by chance investigate first about the platform. You do not have to believe on what others recommend you. There are lot of exchange that are popular and known which is more secure. Losing a good amount just using that platform is not bring back any amount to you. This gives a lesson to everyone to be more careful for the sites that being used because scams are just waiting to bait.

I think you are wrong to store all your Bitcoin in crypoesto.com because this is non-popular exchange floors. You will carefully research this exchange floor before sending your bitcoin, and I believe that this exchange floor is a scam and they have stolen your Bitcoin, so bad to say this

Very sad to see another prey of scam exchange... You should consider all possible problems before deciding about clicking to buy button on anonymous exchanges. Next time buy crypto hardware for saving your crypto holdings. Hope you don't invested your life savings there.

You could've used Binance, or any other big exchanges. Coinmarketcap.com lists those legit exchanges. :)

You have 10 BTC and you keep it in a place that is not trusted, seriously? why don't you try saving it in a large exchange place: Binance, Okex, Bit z or DigiFinex? 10 btc is a lot of money and you have to be careful in storing it,it seems your BTC has been stolen and other times you have to be more careful on save your coins.

Looks like another scam site that gives you free 0.004BTC for signing its seems familiar. Could be this website force you to install their browser extension?  If yes and you install their software then your account had been compromised or hack, that's why you lost your BTC instantly.

You've been literally scammed, as well as you friend maybe? He/she just trying to find someone who will suffer the same as they experienced. There's a reddit post in regards this site, which literally exposed by a user who was once a victim as well. Though, next time you'll invest with a such huge amount, DO always have a background check or research, don't just rely on what your friends, family and etc. would say. It's still better that you have a first hand knowledge to what you are engaging with.

Literally, there's no chance that you can regain nor go after your Bitcoin, as it is already long gone. Though, the best you can do is to move on and learn from this mistake. Well, I know it's quite hard to move on after losing 10 BTC, but life is unfair OP. Just try to live with it.

not all new exchange are scam but there are also new that legit and can attact alot of costumer because they got a better service and promotions . also not all old are trusted , we'l never know if they will turn unto a scam later on .

My advice is that if the site is no longer usable, you can contact CS and ask for help from them. Then you send to large exchanges, such as binance and bittrex.

That's bad, really bad. You can't do anything now. You trusted a shady exchange without even trying to do simple research on it. I would say, file a report on a local police station and hope for the best, but I doubt it would help retrieve your BTC now. Just move on.

Basically you have to recognize and find good information before doing it.

If you sent money to a scam website, there is little you can do to obtain your money back here. Try seeking legal counsel in your respective jurisdiction,  hope a lawyer from your country can help you.

They should see what can be done to legally prosecute the website, they should also see what involvement your friend had in reccomending a clear scam to you. This is a digital asset after all, so if there is no physical route to proceed with you have little left in the way of options.

I would also suggest you speak with your friend as you trusted him enough to transfer significant value to this website.

I don’t know if this story is true or not, but I think you are being fooled by your friend, better to ask him what happen because he might know the man behind it. Well, its pretty obvious that you trust your friend much so I think that’s amount of taking too much risk, now you can’t get your money back anymore. Always do research before you put big money, especially with bitcoin always choose top exchanges.

I think you are too reckless, investing large amounts of your money in an exchange you just met. 10 Btc is big enough money, if I lose that much money I can go crazy. Especially now that it's seen as a fake exchange, which is used to deceive people. It feels like your money will come back, I hope you remain calm and patient.

this sounds implausible on your problem now, 10 btc you can easily save on a site that is not clear, maybe you are rich, but as stupid as a rich person is not that easy to take off thousands of dollars just like that, if your problem is correct I want historical evidence your transaction, you can share some evidence in this forum

Quite unbelievable that someone who has managed to acquire so many bitcoins can be so careless. Perhaps the OP has many and treats them like dogecoins to throw around

10 BTC is a lot! First of all, you had 10 btc and you wanted to hold it in an exchange. This is the biggest mistake you would have done even if you didn't get scammed. Never hold your coins in an exchange. There is no guarantee to what will happen to your coins. Secondly, you wanted to use an exchange and you chose the one that no one literally heard about. You could have done some research at least.
Anyways, I hope you learned a good lesson by spending 10 BTC (tbh that lesson is not worth 10 btc).

How can you trust someone with that kind of money? Its very unfortunate for you and for sure It will be hard for you to recover it not unless the exchange is really legit. But since you can’t access it anymore, you really have to accept the fact that your money is gone.

Lesson learned from this is don't be to greedy, I cant believe that you put your 10 btc on a new and untrusted exchange just because your expecting to profit fast but its not that how it is. You should have research the site first even if your friends said its trusted. Still safest way to store your btc is on bitcoin.org wallets.

if we experience loss in crypto then this is only our fault in making a false prediction. do not ever complain if we feel loss, if we get lucky we keep quiet ... do an observation including sites that offer big profits, whether potentially fraud or not.

IMO someone holding 0.1BTC too knows which exchange is safe and where to invest his holdings. This maybe a clear lie that you hold "10 Bitcoins".

It's very regrettable, actually there are still many exchange accounts whose reputation and credibility's good to save your favorite BTC, and usually this thing happens due to lack of knowledge or lazy to do analysis/research yourself. Is he your childhood friend ? Or do you know him real life? If yes, then both of you got scam. If you know him only online via social media then only you are the one who got scam. Sorry to hear that, bro, but if this really happened it is only your fault. 10 btc is a very important amount of money, you should have kept them in a hardware wallet. Exchanges are used just to trade, not to store btc.

yeah, that's a bad thing, even 10 bitcoin is so much. this is one of the risks of storing assets on exchangers. well, but I think when cryptoesto is still accessible, I don't know whether it's scam or not. Personally, I never trade there.

I think that it could be possible to trace the owners of the site if you would approach authorities and that is if such exchange is not foreign from you. If it is, it could be a lot of trouble not unless there are other concerns that have been raised against them. In our locality we have almost the same scenario where people have numerous complains about the site doing scam. They were caught and were arrested, hope those people that scam you will be arrested as well.

      I can not believe it. No matter how rich you are, when you buy 10 BTC, you spend a significant amount. You can not invest such a large amount by choosing an unknown exchange without informing yourself. From what I read, crypoesto.com is just a scam. However, I hope it's just a joke and you have not bought 10 BTC on that exchange, but if it's true then we learn two things:
1. You do not have to overly trust friends.
2. We do not play with our money, treating things superficially.

Meaning to say that this is another way of scamming people by promoting an exchange and then let everybody deposit there BTC and other crypto as well like ETH, EOS and other altcoins. This is very risky and if I were to join into investing altcoins then probably I will invest on aftermarket altcoins or possibly choose a good strong altcoin and then trusting a good exchange like binance.

Probably this is just a story being made. Later on it will going to ask for a donation to recover some of the loss. If I am correct with this guy later on asking for donation then this thread is good for nothing part of scamming activity. I am thinking the same too. OP is like a mentally-challenged but rich guy if this is really true. You managed to exchange your money for 10 btc but you could not find a decent exchange to place your bitcoins which is very valuable. Sorry but I will not buy this story.

No, its just the registrant information. Those information can help you get back your coins (which is highly unlikely) by tracing the person. Though the names won't be revealed unless they bound to do so legally. So police and lawyers must be involved. But, like I said, the chances are very low to get back your coins. If they live somewhere else than you do, its going to be way tougher.

I agree with his opinion. I do not understand why you can leave money in a place that is not well understood about it. This will be a valuable lesson for you. Did you research before you buy bitcoin in that website? I don't think so. You trust your friend to create an account, but you are not careful to hold your bitcoin.

A friend can do more than that, and I have seen some person can lie to his friend for money or another thing.

The only suggestion for you is to make sure you research before you do something because if that is your money, you need to have responsibility and handle with care. Don't trust anybody if it's related to money because money can make people change.

I want to add that aside from being secure to your money, you should always conduct your own studies about the thing that offers to you because it may lead to a bad experience just like loosing huge amount of money. I really feel sorry for the loss you had but I am surprised how you chose to invest such a big amount on new exchange suggested by your friend. Why didn't you first check deposit and withdrawal process before investing 10 BTC. Take it as lesson now, you may earn money again but learn to save it from frauds all around. This information is FAKE. I read your last posts and threads. Due to what I was understood, you may be a beginner for the crypto world, but, you've enough awareness about scams. A person who's at your knowledge  level, by believing even God's words, NEVER N EVER invest 10BTC at a strange exchange  without doing a proper research.

Sometimes listening to friends is good and somtimes it is not. When it comes to online money always do thorough research before putting your money anywhere. After listening to your friend, you should have gone online to make your own research about the exchange, see reviews from people who have had experience with them first before putting your money there. Sorry about your funds but the truth is no one can help you. If you had asked people here earlier, we would have adviced you on what exchange to use. So it's late already. Sorry man, be more careful next time.

If you have a question you should have to ask it here or ask google instead of trusting someone just because they say so. It is your fault after all and we can't do anything about it because as Google says that website/exchange was a scam.

Unless you have a picture of that friend that you are talking about then you can find him and ask why did he do that because there's a possibility that he's one of them, the one who created that website.

You lost your bitcoin in your own fault. Because you did not know about this website well enough to keep your Bitcoin on that website. It was your wrong decision. Now you have nothing to do. When you search Google, you get a lot of websites where you can keep your bitcoin. But instead of doing so, you have put bitcoins on your website that you should never have. From now on, any website will verify the website carefully before placing bitcoin.

This is the first time I am hearing someone that has a huge bitcoin like yours depositing it on an exchange that is not a top 10. I mean someone holding 10 BTC should do so with knowledge and carefully guard your asset. Probably your friend had a hand in the exchange or he is a newbie like you. Ignorance is not an excuse. That site cryptoesto.com which you mentioned is currently up and running. You should be able to claim back your btc again. What's the status of your bitcoins now?

Before you listen to says of other make it sure first in oogle if that site is existing so you know if that site is true. Ask your friend of proofs about that site, in crypto many frauders will put you in danger because of money so always be careful..

I feel bad and a little irritated to the OP. I mean why would you invest on a site that your friend just told you? You own 10 BTCs and you don't know how to identify a scam and a legit site? I don't know if this is true or not but what I know is that people should learn from this. The internet is not just like your neighborhood that you can track and just look out what is happening in there, it is a dangerous place, just picture it like the Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter Series.

Damn dude, why you stored your bitcoins on unknown wallet like cryptoesto. This is my first time heard cryptoesto wallet lol. Stop trusting other people about your bitcoins dude, 10 bitcoins is huge. When i google searched keyword cryptoesto, the first one is cryptoesto.com scam from reddit. that's a red flag for me, next time at least go search on google first

Always think where to invest your money and do not say and do not complain then that you have lost something. Scammers do not sleep and every day think how to steal your bitcoins, and you are ready to transfer them to any address in order to get free cheese.
Many have lost their money and even without a suspicious site. If at the beginning of 20 18 years to go into Fiat and do nothing to save 70-80% of their capital..

Dont be fooled for this too good too be true marketing they had because thats one sign that an exchange or even a project is a scam. It maybe unkown to you but not for him because he already used it for quite some time , thats the reason why he entrust his funds with that wallet but the sad part is that he have been scammed .

Maybe he also search the said exchange before but he didnt see a scam sign because the exchange was working properly . the scam feedback was later after several users complain  .

This is really the fault of your friend but of course, you are also responsible on this.
This is a costly mistake, and its really hard to accept that your money was being scammed by that exchange. This is why newbies should look for a more trusted exchange on any market, ask a professionals and not just to anyone even if its your friend.

I'm a little surprised that you can just believe in your friend's advice, and you're not half-heartedly saving 10 bitcoins in your wallet without scouring the site first.

Never hold so much money on any exchanges. It is not safe to hold Bitcoin on exchanges not even on to ones. I wonder How could someone make a bad move without any proper research. Currently 10 BTC worth around 30 lakhs Indian rupees and its not a small amount of money. I guess you have learnt your lesson from this. Yes,i agree with you and i cannot believe that anyone deposit 10btc only for friend request.There have lot of trusted site or wallet on online plartform and if you deposit 10 btc any account need to fill keyc otherwise your friend and cryptoesto is totally fake and scam

I am truly sorry for your loss, just know these things happen regularly. Before you do anything on any exchange, it is good to do a little review about that exchange. Browse about them online or ask friends who have better experience in the crypto space. Not every exchange you put your coins. Just try and take your mind off, i know this is difficult but there is absolutely nothing I think you can do to get your money back. Just be more careful next time. Bitcoin investment is a very sensitive one and you have to be careful with decisions you make if not you loose your money within split seconds.

Second, all these small exchanges with very small staff do not have the manpower it takes to keep things secure. System must be tested, upgraded constantly against attacks. I doubt they even have contingency plans in place for getting hacked.

I thought it was negligence which resulted in losing bitcoin. Of course the question is why it's so easy to send that much bitcoin to the wallet address that was never known before. We should not listen and believe right away when it comes to money matters. That is a great lesson you have learned there because in the cryptocurrency industry never take the advice of others as a precessional advice and not an investment advice, always carry out your own personal research before you do any thing. Because 10 btx is not a small amount to lose just like that and most of this new exchange sites are all scam and easily hacked or disappeared with you found.

its okay to trust your friend as long as you know him and his attitude  . maybe his friend is also a newbie when it comes to crypto and he didnt know that the exchange is scam or maybe the exchange is legit at  first but it got hack eventually  .  ive seen some unrated and new exchanges but most of them are legit and running fine  . top exchanges that we currently use these days do also start new or unpopular  . meanwhile , 10btc is not that huge today , so dont stressed it out  .

Even for 5 years I used bitcoin, I had never heard of an exchange site with that name, and now I tried to search for that name on google and yeah its exchange become scam, yeah right what people say, at least ask your friends who recommend you to join, ask for clarity, is he part of that exchange or not
it is very risky to save that much in an exchange that is not entirely famous

God! Why are newbies not learning? Why must you listen to others advice without proper investigation ? There are countless of warning on this forum pointing towards scam exchanges ,newbies are been warned several times not to use exchange that are not popular ,I've never for once heard of that exchange and its not even on the list of 1-20 exchanges I know of.

It's not wise to store big amount of coin in an exchange, it's not meant to store coin in exchange. I personally just transfer amount to exchange when in need of coverting coin. I prefer to use hardware wallet or open source wallet like Electrum or Hodler. Having coins on an exchange doesn't give you full control of your funds. It's still better to store it in safest wallet possible which will give you access to your private key.

It saddens me that most people here are attacking the victim and not the scammer.  10 btc seems like a staggering amount to those in 3rd world countries but its just pocket change for people in Monaco and other wealthy countries.  I've seen even the most reputable exchanges scam before so its ultimately a game of luck in the end.

Always keep your bitcoin safe, if you think someone is stealing your coin then better to transfer it into a more secured wallet. If you lost your bitcoin then there is no way to get it back. Greedy people are always here to get money without any hesitation, we must be more wiser.

That’s exactly what happened to the OP, he trusted so much his friend and in the end his money was gone easily. Trusting new exchange that much is risky, you should not do this because your safety is more important. Put your bitcoin on a safe place, and as everyone said here don’t ever hold coins on any exchanges because you have no control on that wallet, remember this always.

Anticipating more fraud should be done, so that we avoid losing money because it is included in a site that is not clear, if it is trapped it is better to report to the party that has authority. always be careful not to enter into something that is not clear.

So, if you have 38K USD lying around, do you deposit that on the first random site some "friend" recommends without any research on your part online? Where is the logic of that?. I doubt this post itself is real.

If people sell their bitcoin it is all their own decision because we can hold it for long term and we can sell it to overcome our need, losing bitcoin is not  big deal but if you lose it means did some kind of mistake try not to do the same for next time, try to use your proper wallet to store bitcoin for long term and not sell for panic.

I don't believe you have a good search before putting your money at risk and we don't know if that person contacted to you is your real friend. In fact, there is a lot of scam feedbacks about that site and you still trusted that site, it found ridiculous. It is really disappointed that you can't bring back your 10 btc into you wallet.

and AFAIK, all the good exchanges are listed in that site. It will be hard for you to recover your money as most likely you were scammed.

It's obvious that site is scamm, your fault is you can't learn it well before transferring huge amount of bitcoin, but it's too late surely your funds atolen and don't expect to get back again it.

You must be kidding. If a newbie doesn't have money there is no way he can acquire bitcoin. He must be new but if he has money, someone must have enticed him to trust an unknown website to be scammed. This person must have been involved in this scamming.
