I find it interesting that ETH price started going up weeks prior to hard fork after the hard fork it looks to be consolidating and now moving back up again. what could be the factors to this price movement? I like it though, very good for quick trades.

Anybody notice a change in performance or speed of ETH? I have not move any of my ETH so far, I really can't tell yet.

I am not sure it is going to be continuously and for now this is due to BTC. I mean, when we look at the prices, we can see that most of them begin to increase. On the contrary, I guess that hard fork is the reason for the increase so far, after that, it will move as before.

Just a natural market movement for  ETH and nothing unique price increase has happened in ETH's price. Speed performance is better overall but i expect more speed improvement and fewer fees for every outgoing transaction.

Great to know! When you say better do you mean quicker even with traffic? or not much traffic building up now? I still have to see for myself it is just that I am not really planning to move any of my ETH.

Bearish trend is not finished yet and there will continuation  for a downtrend. Small positive news can help prices to go more higher but this improvement will be temporary.

Some stocks exchanges are listing ethereum and the pair has already available. that created another hype for ether dude. that has become the main reason why there was a recover after the hardfork has already ended you can try visit coindesk for that.

But it will definitely not enough for anyone to get a convenient income from e t h investment so it needs extra development on the side of investors then only it can be more improved and developed also.

There tends to be an improvement in the price of a token whenever there's a slightest news or update about the token. This is just the trend.

It will when the ethereum version 2.0 will be released. It will be enough for everyone, so the development and imptovement will give so much to thing to investor as ETH is expected to rise when it happens.

I don't think Ethereum price got any effect from the Constantinople Hardfork, their price movement recently seems like just following other cryptos, and those cryptos are hugely affected by the Bitcoin price. This hardfork is delayed several times, and thats why the hype is not that massive anymore, at least that is my opinion.

As far as I can see, eth has risen because of hardfork but it didn't last long, just shortly after many people sold when eth experienced a few% increase, and was more prominent because of the rising flow of bitcoin prices. but we all hope that the market can recover including eth can be significant again.

Yes, it already change after the short fall but I don't see any big reason for the recent pump. Cryptomarket is on green candle again and not just ETH. Well, I hope for a more pump like this with ETH, but I think it will still dump after the trend. I feel the ethereum network is now much better. gas fee are quite cheap now. but for the price I'm not sure there is an increase. after hardfork I saw ethereum prices going down. and now it's still at $130.

The constantinople upgrade seems to be successful I guess? But the sad part is that, when it is going to be started, there's no price hype being happened.And the good part is that, the bounce back seems good and I hope it will further go up.

eth price is not moving as much as people desired.  it's moving up because it is just following btc price.  there was some good price increase prior to hardfork.  but since the hardfork do not offer major upgrade to the user experience and network traffic, people began to lose their initial hope/expectations that the hard fork would bring upon.  eth needs to do a major overhaul to it's blockchain to accommodate the current demand.

Ethereum also one of the strong community in crypto market so all the coins are depends on Bitcoin rush. Once Bitcoin will going to moon automatically others move to forward but Ethereum Hardfork was not work out in current scenario so we can buy Ethereum it will raise again else it will stay in same range.

It's hard to see ethereum can increase higher if bitcoin price does not increase. Ethereum will always follow bitcoin moves so wherever bitcoin go, ethereum will behind on bitcoin. I am not sure if ethereum can increase the price after the update of Constantinople will release and if the market still is like this, then ethereum needs to be patient again.

But the chance for ethereum to increase still open and it's only time that will answer. We could only buy ethereum if we have money, wait for the market to rise again. I think the investor will do the same thing, and they still waiting for the market increases so they can sell ethereum in a large amount.

I agree that hard fork affected a little bit in price of ETH but in just few days and after that price of ETH dumped back really quickly :). And at the moment price of ETH is increasing and it's more than $140, I don't think it's the result of hardfork cause not only ETH is increasing at the moment.

As you can see that the 2 forks was happened in the mid of February but there is only slight change to the blockchain due to the upgrade.

I think the ETH community has made this miracle. I greatly appreciate the loyal investors of ETH. they have a clear direction and are very confident in ETH. Even though its price has decreased significantly, there are still many who are loyal to ETH and believe that one day its price will grow strongly.

Yes, transaction fees has been down after Constantinople hard fork (not drastically but yet noticeable).

I think on ETH price affect a large amount of short positions in margin trade. As I see on https://ethstats.net block time is decreased to 12 sec (and was ~20 sec), so blockchain works faster.

It's still a win-win for investors.
We are not in a hurry anymore as we have already seen the effect of instant pump, it corrected for a year and that is really bad for us as investors.
We want to see this market change but on a constant manner, meaning it's alright to see slowly change but consistent going up.

Hard fork does not really have an impact on the increase in ethereum prices and which greatly influences the increase in coin prices including ethereum depending on market demand, besides that the increase in the price of bitcoin is also a factor that causes cryptoqurency to increase when the king of coins increases.

The reduced mining rewards will not affect the price for a while but it's hard to tell when the pump will happen. Non pro traders should just hodl until the pattern becomes clearer

The increase that occurs seems good and slow but will definitely reach the top, pump well and hope it will continue to increase. Eth looks more mobile and leaves bitcoin cash, more attractive and becomes the second crypto that continues to have a future.

BTC dominance is 51.5% so it means there is a small confidence over altcoins and after 4k it can increase. But still BTC is domiant so it will impact ETH movements and ETH will have parallel or similiar market price movements with BTC like others except stable coins.

I can't understand ETH this days again, is unpredictable as we have known before that  increase of bitcoin most of the time leads to increase in ETH but nowadays is not like that again. I believe that ETH has started getting is independent also.

ETH price was rising above $160 but there was correction later. I think it is because the Ethereum block reward has been halved.
The miners who mines ETH will get lesser reward, therefore the price will increasing.
But today, the ETH price seems like not different from before. There are some movements price, but not significant.

The hard fork of ethereum didn't have much effect on the market prices and also in the performance I guess.The word hardfor did little bitcoin of price moements but later it was dumped soon when the price of bitcoin hit above $4000,current price increase is not much hig to consider tha anything is inflencing the growth of it.

People were expecting huge dumps before any ETH harfork before but it have a good reverse right now, in fact I've never felt any dumps in recent hardfork. It is quite good to see like this and it feels that people have learned already that hardfork is all about system upgrades not correlated with the price reduction.

there is no change in ethereum's performance so far. it is still struggling so hard to keep the price that it already has and it is failing at it hard because there is no more people left to buy it and ever since ICOs died people don't have any incentive to buy it either.
the only thing that can temporarily save it is a pump but that is only putting bandaid on a failing project. the unlimited supply is starting to show its effects slowly now.

Ethereum price definitely sees movement around fork announcements, but then every new tech in it just gets priced in before the actual fork. In fact you see price drops after the fork itself, most likely disappointed swing traders dumping it.

I have not seen any changes science Constantinople hardfork and it is pretty sad. And I think that the price of ETH did not raise. It was 140 bucks before the hardfork, then it stated to fall to 120 bucks and right now the prices are slowly recovering.

the performance is now quite good, but so far there hasn't been a significant thing that I feel. for now, eth is still stable at 130-140. this might be good for the future because the most important thing is that ethereum has stopped going down.

IMO, the price is still way below its previous all-time high and there is plenty of room for growth to the upside. Good thing that I'm also currently monitoring my live trading (https://to.crwd.cr/z7G) sessions. However, market conditions still remain uncertain and Ethereum is unlikely to make a move on its own without the blessing of Bitcoin. That being said, soon as the market recovers, we will be ready for the next altcoin season which will see ETH leading altcoins towards aggressive gains against BTC just like we have seen in the past. We have already seen that ETH has regained its second place (in terms of market cap) just before the beginning of the next altcoin rally. obviously the increase in ethereum is because bitcoin is also moving up so ethereum also follows it, and ethereum speed in my opinion is good. I just tried to make delivery between exchanges

I think the cost of ETH is directly dependent on BTC and over the past few weeks the hard fork has not affected its change. You may not agree with me, but usually the hard fork affects the price of the coin, if a new coin appears as a result of the hard fork. But as we know in the case of ETH it was just a network update.

Thats true, Bitcoin price have an increase so Ethereum prices will also rise. Ethereum shows good progress after fork on their platform, i hope this will be effect to Ethereum price soon.

by the way nothing special is too stiff and slow even now more potential is another altcoin, I think ICO enthusiasts are rare so it greatly affects the value of ETH. there must be a plan to build better prices, the new network is not strong enough to attract investors so like turtle in the crypto market

I don't think the backward thread was caused by the hard fork which recently happened but it just the market itself that affected the price of ethereum, if you study the market well, you will find out that it wasn't just ethereum that experienced the rise and fall, almost all the top 10 coins in the market also experienced same. The fork can't have much effect on price because it didn't create another coin.

I think it is not only ETH, the other altcoins price are going up too. It maybe because the cryptocurrency market start to recovering.
You can look at LTC price, it has going up since few weeks ago and keep rising in the market.

Ethereum in the past time has grown well in relation to Bitcoin. There is nothing surprising in this that in the short-term it can show less growth than Bitcoin. But I think that in the long run, Ethereum is more promising than Bitcoin.

I'm not surprised that there is no rally of eth price after the updates. However, it doesn't mean the updates didn't have significant impact on the price, but it will be beneficial in a long run.

The motion of ethereum so far was just a normal things I think, But you can still earn with it by simply doing day trade. Just be careful doing it, or else you might get loss in the end if you become neglectful when you are in the actual trade market. Eth made small progress only when some coin in the market increasing among with bitcoin. And as of now we have no specific information after the fluctuation wherein if it's just a temporary rise or there's another possibility on the price to increase when market start to rise again because market become stagnant . You should know that investor spent their money in ETH not because of Hardfork only. If there were no hardfork, investors still kept investing in ETH just because it's a really good cryptocurrency. I agree that hardfork also affected a little bit to ETH price but not so much. Don't think that ETH can be better just because of Hardfork, just take a look at ETH rank on Coinmarketcap, a single hardfork can't help ETH standing at 2nd rank for so long like that.

No, at the moment I did not notice any difference with the speed of past transactions and work with eth. Or the difference is so small that it is not noticeable.

Ethereum price movement is still as before though I expected the ETH market to really get so even though the reverse was the case, I think the market generally is being ruled by one single factor I don’t seems to know yet.

The performance of eth is not so far from the way other market is performing too except those other shitcoins that aren’t making any move at all for one to trade with, right now, ethereum price movement only favors day traders and not long term investors.

At least you got some analysis and it seems accurate. Usually if there is a fork, prior to the schedule date investors are putting up money because of the free coins they are going to get (at least in the case of bitcoin). If it's moving back again then, it would either be the two, (a), those manipulators are setting up a bull trap (b), it is indeed a start of a rally that could end up in a bull run in the next couple of months.

I saw no change in the behavior of ETH for the last time. Transactions were fast and remained at the same level. Latest Constantinople hard fork caused more positive sides than negative to ETH network in my opinion. I can see the clear difference between the previous network and current network. Speed and fees per transactions are decreased simultaneously that obvious for regular users.

Sorry to say, I haven't found any improvements after the hard fork. I always used 8 GWEI to transfer something from the MEW and I am still doing it! Maybe the hard fork's effect yet to come properly or did I miss something? And that price grows was just a random pump, not for the fork! If ETH reached at least 200 USD before or after the fork, then we could say it is for the hardfork!

I would like to say that I have been finding it very exciting to see ETH shooting up in recent times. I have always longed to see an improvement in the value of ETH in my wallet and am happy it is happening gradually. Initially, I thought that is going to be an end for crypto when this year began on a high level bearish market condition. I was initially of the opinion that I should sell off all my coins to avoid further dump in their value but summoned the courage to be hopeful and persistent. In  a short while, I am sure we are going to see ETH skyrocketing beyond our widest imagination.

I think all investments must indeed be able to implement such methods, all of which lie in patience that you have to do because when investing in cryptocurrency you cannot wait for the right moment or time, the profit you get will not be maximal.

In my own view it is normal if we take as good look at the history of Ethereum. Ethereum is a good project that has the potentials to pump at any time. For me is a normal thing and could aswell come up due to eth hard fork.

The platform itself is very technologically advanced and promising, but now, in my opinion, the problem with the airtime is that very few transactions per second take place

I do not know the technical details if the ETH transaction speed has increased or not but today my transactions were stuck and there was a network congestion again. Hoping it was temporary error.

I think this is not proper time to invest ETH. Because ETH price will down  in some days. I am waiting for that time and invest some usd.

Hard fork means a big update in the network, but it doesn´t mean that new cryptocurrency has to be created, only if a part of community do not agree with new concept, they can continue using the old chain - so the result is two diffrent chains with diffrent cryptocurrencies, not compatible each other.

I think technically the up surge was due and also how can you forget about the fundamentally important events lined up this year for Eth, the most important being Eth 2.0 and switching to pos algorithm plus improvements that will make transactions faster and cheaper. I think the hype and price will keep growing in coming weeks.

Like me every investor in crypto must be interest to invest in ethereum because ethereum have big liquidity and the team behind ethereum very solid , and 2nd top coin OF CMC . The development of ethereum  which gave him as potential coin as before . Let's see what going to happen next and just hope for the best for every eth holders to coming wave of prosperity as it before than the best .

Since the time has not come, there might not yet be an obvious growth. The number one one, BTC, is the main focus now. ETH including all other altcoins are more or less stagnant with little upsurge. Let's see if that time for ethreum events will coincide with the bull run. If it does, then there will definitely be upsurge before any of the events.

I doubt if ETH 2.0 hype is what's driving the price up currently, i do think ETH is just moving in relation to BTC due to the upcoming halving which is close. Nevertheless, I'm still holding some ETH (5% of my total portfolio). ETH is one of the few altcoins moving as BTC moves up, most altcoins dipped badly recently.

the main factor influencing the increase in ETH prices is of course because bitcoin is experiencing a pump, see now bitcoin has almost reached $ 10k. if it continues to pump then ETH will also experience the same thing.

Bitcoin has been bullish since the beginning of the year with respect to the upcoming halving so every coin is gaining momentum for uptrend.mist good coins will increase greatly this time.
