Overview

Obscure(XSC) is a cryptonote currency with compulsory mixin values. XSC was officially launched on 15 March 2019 with it's mainnet release. XSC's vision is to be at the fore front of privacy which is easy to use. We are currently developing several projects that we believe will allow mainstream adoption to occur, without the need to compromise the user's privacy.

We have also identified the problem with using Cryptonote mixin values - even with mixins, one of the input and outputs will always point to the sender and user. It is possible with a a large enough dataset, blockchain analytics can be employed to determine the sender and receiver of coins.

Coin Specifications

After much consideration and criticism from the community, we will be increasing the block reward to 3.5XSC and reducing the presale from 10BTC to 2.5BTC. Thank you everyone

Faucet
To ensure a fair coin distribution, a faucet will be made avaialble, with up to 350,000 XSC up for claim. This is to make sure that XSC is not decentralized among early miners. The faucet will be filled up with denominations of 10,000XSC and will be refilled when empty. Each wallet can redeem XSC for an unlimited number of times. Have fun!

ZeroCT

ZeroCT is a new protocol based on the Zero Protocol. However unlike the zero-protocol, ZeroCT is capable of sending unfixed denominations of zObscure such as 1239214 XSC. WIth the original Zero Protocol, you can only send in specific denominations. Our implementation of ZerCT will use masternodes to calculate validation proof from the blind factors. This reduces the load off the full nodes which process normal transactions. Our goal in the future is to fully eliminate full nodes and implement a masternode system.

Obscure.sol

Currently it is impossible for a developer to create dApps using his preferred cryptonote coins. A developer might want to create using Cryptonote instead of Ethereum because he wants to application to be private and transactions untraceable. Enter Obscure.sol. Obscure.sol is a modified web3.js module that is served by masternodes. There masternodes will be able to link the Ethereum blockchain, XSC blockchain or another cryptonote blockchain.

A developer can make web3.js calls to the Ethereum virtual machine as long as he pays XSC as gas. These masternodes will covert the XSC on the fly to ETH, and keep some of the XSC as fees.

xPay

Singapore has a GDP per capita exceeding that of USA, Germany and France. Despite being an affluent nation, there is still no standard king for mabile payments. The market is fragmented with players who are unable to capture the market. We propose xPay, and we are confident that xPay will be able to scale in the Singapore Mobile Payment market.

xPay is a cryptocurrency wallet first and foremost but built with powerful 'mainstream features' which are regulated:

1) No KYC needed to transfer money between account
2) Creditcard top ups will be available for all KYC-ed accounts
3) Transfer via NFC like ApplePay and SamsungPay
4) Merchants and Non-merchant accounts have no difference, making it easy for anyone to start selling
5) Easy integration into different POS systems

Obscure.IM decentralized market

After much criticism, the presale will be reduced from 70,000 = 1BTC to 70,000 = 0.25 BTC.

Mainnet launch will be 0:00 GMT. You'll have to convert your timezone to GMT if you're not in the same timezone. Dev says the wallet will be out before the mainnet launches, so we're looking at a few short hours from now

Nobody can fix it for you. Only you can do that. Add the exe to Avast's exceptions then restore the file from Avast quarantine or redownload the wallet again, create a folder and add the folder to avast exception list, unrar the wallet into this folder and carry on. Most AV see wallets as suspicious files due to the ports they use

I missed 9 whole hours. Somehow, my body chose 0.00GMT as the hour to breakdown and put me in a state of forced hibernation. Work up to seeing massive hash power on the network. Off to an expensive start

You needed to download lastest version Win RAR, my v.5.50 works fine.

Unfortunately I do not know where to get the version v.5.50. I found only v0.37.

Try using a different browser to download, sometimes it helps me with this problem.

Getting TM mark is big deal for many people because it shows that the project is not created 5 minutes before posting their ANN.
That they have good intentions to begin with. And there is solid foundation for the project.

Official pool can mean testnet. It waz clearly stated that it waz the testnet. Also the mining was less than 100 kh/s. You could have claimed mainnet coins. We have closed the swap. Nezt time be more alert

I am trying to mine on the pool with the exact same config as when it was on the test mining, however now all my shares are rejected. What could be causing this? Also after a couple of minutes i get a socket error and then get errors saying my IP is blocked. This happens both with running through a vpn and also without running through a VPN.

Yeap as stated in the whitepaper the zeroCT part is written by the navcoin team. It has been iterated multiple times in the whitepaper and credit has been given accordingly.

Where is the proof that you received startup grants from the Singapore Government?

This is more like X-Cash project, The only difference is X-Cash has a transparent team behind that currently pre-funded their project and got it listed to 4 exchange in their 1st month.

The X-pay is more like the same as the X-Cash X-bank. Overall the project seems ok although exchange listing is highly dependent on the results of their ICO sale, Claim their free faucet but take a second and third look in their ICO offering if possible SKIP them and just collect your coins thru faucet or Mine them.

Most CryptoNight Coins have problematic wallet and no CN fork is perfect. You just need to adjust and find your work around in using their wallet. So far i got no problem using both Xcash and Obscure wallet.

Yes, I also became worried when I saw the volume wasn't appreciable. The crypto market is skewed to only the major coins as at now. New coins are not seeing any good differences and those that increase in price drop more than 100% after the little increase it goes through.
